I don't really understand, there was already an option to turn off the 30th anniversary startup from the options, turned it off from day one, why would I want to wait 3 times as long to get to my home screen?

Already backed it on Kickstarter, will play via Steam when available

@Bunchesopuppies Thanks for the heads up, didn't know it was offered for Netflix subscribers, downloaded it now and will give it a go, seems to make more sense for PC and mobile control-wise anyway.

Playing the game for the first time and loving it, don't know how it was on PS4 but it looks fine in my opinion.

Yes, I'm playing it for the first time, had the PS4 version in my back log for a while and when I heard of the PS5 upgrade I decided to promote it to the next game in the list, still trying to decide what kind of build to create.

I have to say, I was set to buy the upgrade tomorrow, but after seeing the comparison, I think I'll skip it, it just looks worse to me being so much darker

@Starkei Hey Starkei, so I'm frequenting the site psdeals.net which lists games that are currently on discount (I also have specific games on my watch list there) and ever so often I buy a game or two on discount (almost exclusively PS4 games although I have a PS5), so now my library has over 100 games of which I've finished about 30.

I've been out of the PlayStation scene since the PS1 , so when I got a PS5 as a gift it was very cheap for me to buy the now-heavily-discounted PS4 games and experience them for the first time.

I've added the game to my back log a while ago, have managed to finish the first one not too long ago, so will definitely upgrade it and play after I finish Psychonauts 2

I always add my PayPal details right before making a purchase, than immediately remove them afterwards

Love this series, finished all the games including the two great ace attorney games and the Edgeworth spinoffs

I also remember getting kicked by the lady I was supposed to save and dying in one hit after surviving hoards of tough karate masters and one annoying eagle

I have fond memories of playing the game on my CGA monitor DOS PC back in the day, would love to revisit it and the documentary aspect is intriguing

Wow I actually didn't think it was going to happen, planned on borrowing my brother's PS4 after I'm done with The Witcher 3 just to play Syndicate and it's Crimes DLC that I bought a long while ago, happy!

@djlard No, a turn-based RPG can refer to RPGs like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest which have turn-based battles, an SRPG refers to the turn-based tactics flavor where you command many units (in some you can actually create more units during the battle) in turn-based battles where unit placement is key

Actually kinda reminds me of the Shadowrun games

As a fan of SRPGs like XCOM, Advance Wars, Fire Emblem, Wargroove, Final Fantasy Tactics etc.. I'm excited, but I have to say it feels kind of weird to me to be playing an SRPG on the sofa in front of the big screen, I usually play my SRPGs on the PC at work or on my Nintendo DS

Pretty cool, I've found that searching for "the last of us hbo" works well

I wish they'd remove those slideshows that come up when loading a game or moving from one area to another where it reminds you of the story, I know it's meant to give you something to watch while it's loading but on PS5 I feel like the loading ends well ahead of the slideshow and so it actually introduces a delay in loading, plus I'm tired of hearing the same lines about the ugliest man alive 😄

A shame it's not on Netflix, would have been available to more people across the world.

Just picked it up thanks to this article, never heard of it before but it's really great and my son wants to create his own dreams

For me, I'm just waiting for the first The Last of Us (PS4) to be discounted back to what it used to be ever so often so I can get it and complete my PS4 backlog, then I'll start buying again when the PS5 games start dropping below my threshold

@Lavalera No problem, I'm realtively new to the PlayStation world so once in a while I bump into something that works differently to what I expect

For any PS5 owner who preinstalled the PS4 version expecting it to automatically update to the new next gen version (like me) take note that it will update but it will still be the PS4 version just with the added quests and Netflix stuff, what I ended up having to do was go to the PS App on my phone and there I've found the PS5 version and was able to add it to my library for free and then I was able to find it on my console, having never played either version I could easily have started playing without realizing I'm not playing the next gen version

I actually think it's a pretty good looking game even before the patch, but I'm playing at 1080p so maybe that's why I don't see what people are complaining about

@pyrrhic_victory While they work on a proper fix, they should release a quick fix that shrouds the game in perpetual night, the issue only happens at daytime with the shadows flickering

I've been wanting to play it for the first time but now I'll have to wait till Part 1 gets to a low enough price because it wouldn't make sense to play the older version for the first time now, if I'd already played the older version I would have skipped Part 1 unless it had an insane discount

My last PS Plus month and not intending to renew, I'll probably try the puzzle game out though
