@Shepherd_Tallon @ShogunRok The combat in D3 is very rhythmic, D4 less so I find. It's just less engaging (and therapeutic) moment to moment.

I played it for 10 hours or so but haven’t gone back to it. I can’t follow the story at all and it’s just all a bit boring compared to D3, for me at least. I want to get back to it but I really don’t have a clue what is going on.

My only anticipated release for 2024 is Tomb Raider for now, I've been looking forward to playing these games again for a while so this is well received. FF7 is interesting, but I keep bouncing off part 1 so I dunno.

It must be insane to play a genuinely good RPG like Baldurs Gate 3 immediately after a decade of back to back Dragon Age Inquisition play throughs.

I finally picked up GT7, so I have mostly been playing that. The racing is fun, but the menus thing is kinda weird, I guess. Not exactly bad, just weird. I wish the soundtrack was a bit more interesting too.

It’s just so good. Can’t wait for them to do number 2.

I’ll be playing a bit of Resident Evil 5 with a buddy. I reckon this is the 4th time I’ve played it through over the years, we’re doing it on veteran this time - it’s not too tough really, although it seems enemies hit pretty hard. Around chapter 5 so not much left. There really aren’t many co-op experiences that match this, and it’s actually got me looking forward to a remake (as long as they keep the co-op stuff, that is).

@Intr1n5ic while I don’t play my PS5 that much, I do think it’s generally worth trading in your stock PS5 and putting a bit of cash toward a Pro. At least, I don’t regret having done that with my PS4.

@Ward_ting generally yes but Rockstar tend to get that sort of social commentary right, it’s just companies like Ubisoft have jaded everyone on it.

@JeongersGaming ah. I do struggle to see how this could “bring people back”, then? Not having a dig, just guess it’s not for me. Maybe I’d like it if I gave it a proper go. Trying to remember if custom skins on Counter Strike were ever a massive draw for me, I seem to recall I had fun with them tbh.

I am not being critical, but what do these new skins actually mean for the game? Do they change up the gameplay with different abilities etc or is it literally just to make your character look different?

It's a bit of a weird one with some earbuds. I had a pretty horrible time adapting to the newer Airpods versus the 1st gen type. Couldn't wear them for more than 45 minutes without them hurting but after a month or so my ears just got used to them.

I finally got every light root in TOTK - it dawns on me that I’ve just made the environment down there a lot nicer for Yiga and the various monsters, and no doubt massively increased their productivity. Mission..accomplished..?

I’m playing Bravely Second again. Third attempt to finish this one. I keep bouncing off it after 30-40 hours. I don’t know why, I am loving it. I know the writing is really off the wall but it actually cracks me up. The game is so much better than Bravely Default 2, they really cocked that one up.

Also the 3DS is such a cool machine.

Will they, won’t they. Gosh, this is so exciting.

Major flaw in your argument - if it doesn’t make sense for Sony to make a Vita 2, they are pretty much guaranteed to do it. The fact we haven’t had one probably suggests it’s a good idea!

Probably Baldurs Gate, but for me it’s Tears. To take nothing away from TOTK, it’s probably too similar to BOTW to win the top award and I can kinda appreciate that.

@silverspeed nice one, just checked and I can see physical GT7 is on sale.. might have to find the funds for that low, low price (£30 at Argos, where are you seeing it?)

Ah nice, GT7. I have not seen it on sale before. Unfortunately can’t budget for it right this moment. Hopefully it comes up again around Christmas…

It’s certainly quieter than my PS4. And I like that the turbo drive let me play Pillars 2 without the insane 2 minute load times. Not much else to say unfortunately!
