Too familiar wouldn't be a problem if the base game didn't quite obviously run out of steam a bit before the end credits. It's a great game of course, but it is at it's very best in the earlier sections. If it is going to drag on, and then serve up another 20-30 hours of the same loop, it's a fair comment.

Sounds like Sony are fully aware it’ll be a massive money spinner so it’s more a case of timing than anything else’s, and of course, if a full remake is on the cards that all feeds into it too. It’ll happen for sure. A proper sequel would be much better, though…

Glad to hear it’s a good time. I always enjoyed the story in Destiny, and some of the locations you visit are incredible. No point in trying to catch up, it’s one of those “you had to be there” experiences, and better for it really. I’ll have watch it all on YouTube.

I’ve a bit of time for gaming this weekend.

I reinstalled Diablo 4 and have been having a good time with it this week. I got super bored of the story last time I played it, so I started a new character and skipped the campaign. A lot happier!

Also, the big new loot 2.0 update this week has reworked things. Everything seems better from my perspective, and from what I have read it is being taken positively by the fan base. No news story on here about it, though?

I also got Animal Well, although haven’t really got into that yet.

Wanted to give Inquisition another shake last week, thought it'd be £3.99 or something but they still want £34.99 for it! (Or £31.49 with an EA Play sub!)

Big shame about Tango, Evil Within 2 is one of my favorite games. I'd have genuinely got an Xbox to play a third one if I had to.

I finally pulled the trigger on Prey (was very impressed by the demo way back when but just never picked it up). A few hours in and it seems like £5 very well spent, it’s almost everything I want in a game, really.

That said, I don’t love the art deco style of the space station, I’d prefer something more rough and ready like the Ishimura or the Sevastopol from Alien Isolation.

Really didn’t get on with this before. I thought about grabbing it again but the £3.99 deal ended before I could. Maybe one day.

It seemed like so much time passed between Skyrim and this, but it’s crazy how close they released, really.

I can see what they were trying to do with the trailer, but not really working for me. I think the game itself looks like it could be good, though.

I’m still plugging away at Tears of the Kingdom. Almost a year later (220 hours) and I am still coming back, with quite a bit to do!

@ShogunRok sorry, I didn’t read what you said properly. I thought you said the PS4 version used standard, where as the PS5 version used ultra.

The textures look pretty good on performance based on the photo though, so sure, I could imagine not much further improvement in quality mode… and it seems like a pretty nice upgrade either way.

@ShogunRok I watched a video yesterday and was pretty impressed with the texture improvements, at least on some objects. I assume below is the difference between “standard” and “ultra”?

Haven’t played Destiny in forever, I’m still very fond of it though, and had some great times playing it. It had its fair share of missteps and problems.

I’d be rooting for a successful Destiny 3, for sure!

A bit blown out today, but I’ll be playing some more Pillars of Eternity 2 and finishing off the (pretty great) Stellar Blade demo.

Kinda interested in this one, even though I didn't gel much with the first game. Will wait for these performance updates, though. Would be silly not to at this point.

I’ll be playing some Pillars of Eternity 2. 80 or so hours into my second run, I really love this game. I do need to go back to number 1 and get that finished. And then just hope one day they make a 3rd one (yes, I’d buy an Xbox for it if necessary!)

@Northern_munkey It matters because in the meantime Sony want to sell standard PS5's. If it becomes common knowledge that a new unit is on the way people will understandably sit tight for more info. At best, anyone on the fence over a PS5 will definitely be put off a purchase until they hear more about the Pro now.

It simply throws a spanner in the works of their expensive day to day marketing operation. It's pretty understandable that they would want to come down hard on this, not just because of this but potential future leaks, too.

Not that I care, more power to the consumer and all that.

@Rosona there was a small tunnel I could swim through in the bottom of a water pit. Somehow I completely missed it the eight-odd times I had passed by it the night before. That sort of thing is really my experience of Tomb Raider back in the day, the best thing to do when stuck was just stop playing as nine times out of ten the solution is found almost straight away when you pick it back up again. Frustrating, but there really isn’t anything quite like it….

I am slowly chipping away at Tomb Raider 2, although stuck near the end of Venice right now. I spent 2 hours accomplishing nothing on it last night, just doing circles. I’m hoping to start playing it tonight and find the solution within 10 minutes because that would be absolute classic Tomb Raider right there.

No, and I don't know if I will ever get round to it, to the extent I am considering looking up the story now as I am keen to hear what they have done with it... hmmmm.

It’s obviously a case of reading between the lines.

I really doubt they could be more definitive even if they wanted to be.

What I got from it is simply that anything and everything is potentially up for review on a case by case basis.

Edit: it does seem strange that they don’t just confirm the 4, though, to avoid further speculation.

I’ve been trying to play a bit of Star Rail but after an hour or so I am close to giving up as I don’t have a clue what’s going on! I just got on the train?!

It seems weird at first, but Sony do some strange things with hardware so I could totally believe this is happening.

The problem for me is less that this is unlikely to materialise, and more that Sony just won’t support it properly when it does. So it’s hard to be excited on that basis.

Really, the Vita is powerful and feature rich enough to still be going now.
