Re: Video: Is Concord Destined to Fail?

Don't you even dare speak of The Finals in the same article as this game.
The Finals has literally zero to do with this game, and hero shooters in general; hell, its build customisation is off the charts and absolutely central to the game.
Not to mention it is infinitely more unique and innovative, and has a personality of its own to boot, instead of riffing on already popular IP's.

Re: Rumour: Borderlands 4 Is 2K's Big SGF Announcement

Blergh, I despise everything about Borderlands (aside from the cel shading) so I couldn't be more disappointed.
I'm not expecting BioShock 4 to be especially good either for a smattering of reasons, but at least I'm curious as a huge fan of the Rapture duology (Infinite and especially Burial At Sea can burn in a dumpster fire, where they belong).

Re: Publisher Nexon Investigating Cause of The Finals' 'Lower-Than-Expected' Performance

@ThomasHL can't disagree more.
I've always been a single player guy (I only started dabbling in online multiplayer here and there in the last couple of years), but after trying out the beta I was hooked, and The Finals is basically the only game I've played since it launched.
And let me tell you, in this six months I've only scratched the surface of the complexity behind it.
The sheer amount of possible combinations of classes, specializations and gadgets, coupled with the destructibility of the environments, make it deeply strategic on a moment to moment basis.
Sure, it's probably way more chaotic and less predictable than other games without the same distractibility, but it doesn't make it any less deep or strategic.
But hey, if you don't like it that's perfectly fine, no game is for everyone

Re: PS5 Sensation Stellar Blade Has One of the Highest User Ratings Ever

@get2sammyb what @NEStalgia said, and it has the audacity of aping one of the greatest games ever from pretty much every point of view, down to hiring one of the same composers.
Can we not just agree that it's a good game with great combat but zero personality of its own?
If so, does it really warrant the scores?

Re: God of War Creator Says Kratos Has Lost His Way

Heh. Guy's a tool, absolutely, but I don't disagree that taking a non-character like OG Kratos and trying to make him sympathetic isn't a great idea. Create a new IP at that point.
Also, just my opinion but GOW 2018 has got to be one of the most overrated games ever.

Re: September 2023 Circana: PS5 Still on Top Despite Chart-Topping Starfield

@nomither6 if you knew anything about Wonder, you'd know it's a far more creative game than Spidey 2, actually bursting with ideas.
I'm not buying either cause I'm not into 2D platformers anymore and I loathe superheroes, but if I had to choose between a creative, fun platformer and a by-the-numbers open world game with gameplay ripped straight from 15 years old Batman games, well, I know what I'd go for hands down.

@thefourfoldroot1 "originality" says the guy spouting capitalist realism on me lol
Your points are so tired I don't even feel like rebutting them.
Let's just say I'll wait for you to tell me what invaluable skill CEOs like Bobby Kotick bring to the table that justify them earning 400+ times what their workers earn.
But I'm sure you'll keep spouting the same old "they made themselves", blah blah blah

Re: A Video Game Actors Strike Could Happen Following Union Vote for Action

@Mikey856 that line of thinking really disgusts me.
I'd like to see what you would do if you were to lose your livelihood to greedy CEOs who rake in the millions and have to retrain for another job after spending all your life studying for it and then doing it.
Let's see if you're still willing to lick CEO boots then.

Can't believe the idiocy and malice in this comment section.
Sounds like caring for other fellow humans' livelihood is a rar thing these days.
Also, those of you who talk about the "inevitability of AI" don't know the first thing about it, so maybe educate yourself first.
Repeat after me: "Artificial Intelligence doesn't exist, yet it will still ruin everything".
