It's good to see that many PS5 owners are expecting Spidey 2, despite +18 or whatever rate, don't forget that COD was a 18+ rated game and you lot at your 10 years you were playing with your mates... and Spiderman and Mile Morales are good games in PS5, so, it is good news. As long has real PS5 games with VRR, 120 Hz mode, haptics and else are being released I think it's much better than nostalgia crap upscaled or pixelated games at 50+

I just deleted, 100+ Gb of repetitive alpha v. 0.0.3 game that started as a decent finished game.., of course the fanboys do not care about file size, grinding, boring, alpha state, etc. that's fine but please when it comes to another games that you hate, do not say anything, you look more like double standards people.

Well, playing at quality mode is actually better, and in performance mode ia also better... mind you I never have got problemas with tearing and else, but I prefer raytracing and a more "realistic" visuals, which is funny, you lot do love pixelated nostalgia games, or any game at 30fps only because you just love them i.e. Zelda and RDD, and the screen tearing usually means that your Nan's telly is not capable of displaying games that required 2.1 HDMI... I'm enjoying the NG+, for me it's a better patch.

I've been playing in my M1 MacBook Air as founder member, and it's been great... I've certainly got to wait for a sale in PS5 perhaps in December, or next year, but I'll definitely buy it. I've enjoyed a lot in my MacBook Air

Deluxe editions for Spiderman 2 and Lords of the Fallen are in order, why? because they are using properly the tech in PS5: haptics, sound, VRR, etc... for the rest you've got RRD, those 90's jrpg remakes and anything that your nostalgia and your nan's telly can get, lol...

I've got the PS Plus due to discounts, I've never purchased at full price. I've got like 350 games, mainly from 3 years of PS Plus ownership, but I don't play online games, and as many commented here, most are very cheap games, so, it is useless. I rather upgrade my GeForce to the top tier, since I'm a founder member I get the same price for 12 months. So, I'm just buying games that take advantage of PS5 tech: 3D sound, haptics, VRR. 120Hz, etc.
Instead of buying a super PC, with GeForce I can get everything with raytracing and 120Hz, right in my iPad Pro or my Sony TV.
So, farewell PS Plus.

@YoureTooSlowBro Actually, many "PS5 specialised sites" do not mention that, they believe as their audience, that a PS5 game is a game running at 60fps in a PS5; they do not mention haptic support, adaptive triggers, 3D sound, 120Hz mode,1440 support, etc. Even the " reference YouTubers" do not mention that. in the PS Shop sometimes mention haptics support as happens with "Lord of the Fallen".

Well, this is good, the "discerning player", even hardcore is willing to play a crap upscaled game at 30fps?, hahaha... and at 50 quid in PS4 ??? hahaha... come on people, next time you trash a PS5 game because it runs at 30fps with 4k, 3d sound, VRR, ALLM, etc; I'll just say RDR or Zelda for that matter...lol. @Olmaz Spot on... actually Forspoken runs very well at 120Hz mode, the difference between performance and quality is little. People talk about input latency but then again, you need a HDMI 2.1 capable telly, also they are comparing with a PS4 system. Hogwarts Legacy at balanced mode (40fops) is brilliant, so it is Ghostwire Tokyo.

How do the "discerning players" who claim that every "next gen" game in 2023 must run at 60fps feel???, lol... I mean, you'll be given a reskin of a 13 years old game incapable to run PS5 and at 60fps???, how sad and ironic is that??... perhaps, it's time that you learn 10 or 20 things and when you own the proper telly, a game at 4k running 30-40fps in PS5 with 3d Audio and haptics, it IS a next gen game...

@KaijuKaiser Not to mention that you can plug the long cable and keep playing... no worries mate, most of the complainers do not own a Dual Sense Edge, because they do not mention all the profiles you can create, the super fast back buttons, stick precise customisation and else, just liars... and at the end of the day, this controller worth any penny and if you can afford it, you can get it...

Funny thing about beep heaters is that some claim to own every existing game device in the world, so why don't you get rid of the PS5? so the beep is gone and on the other side, another one claims that the beep "bothers the babies" when in fact it does bother their Nan, Mother or Miss... Well, I'm using everyday since day 1... about battery life, they come with a long charging cable, so, if you are smart enough you can keep it connected and actually the controller response is faster when it is wired... And the back buttons, are the fastest you can find, of course, if you do use and own one...

Well, it's a beep and just happens one time if you use the console properly, if you annoyed, then do not whine about the PS5 acting up... really, there are more annoying sounds... like you screaming while playing GTA, Fornite or COD, haha

Well, too much info about metadata and else... so I wonder why do you believe "next gen gaming" is 60fps from game from 2014 in a PS5? where is VRR, ALLM, etc?... and Dolby Atmos for that matter, lol... because your 2014 game does not use such tech... I mean, it really does not matter the "metadata" since the 118 objects or metadata are managed by the decoder in your Dolby Atmos device, you ain't got a Dolby Mixer to manipulate such objects... that's the reason why some sound bars are not licensed. I've got an Apple 4k TV with a setup of 4 HomePods licensed for Dolby Atmos, I hope with this update I can truly have Dolby Atmos via eArc since the Telly can handle Dolby Atmos... but still some IMAX or IQ Dolby Vision would be better...

Scars Above, at $19.99 it's decent for a short game and it does have got native 120Hz mode, given that you're got the proper setup

@HOWARDSROCK Different strokes for different folks, they say... here in Mexico the digital games are God send because you can buy recent games and very old games at low prices, you'll be impressed to see Batman Gotham knight at USD50 in retailers, while in the last sale it is USD5 or 7??... and here, they never give you more than 20% of your money back, like never, being the Naughties or early 2K... but you forgot a wee detail: region lock, because if you buy a cheap game from Asia, you cannot play it in America, now with digital it really does not matter... Well, if you care to observe the data, instead of overthinking and "explaining" why FF16 is not JRPG and else... 1) Switch – 24,118 (19,421,983) vs PlayStation 5 – 44,967 (3,318,567), which means 20 millions > 3 millions, that's 6 times difference?, Japan loves Switch, that's a fact... 2)FF16 is the only PS5 tittle in the list, all the rest is Switch, so... Japan is not market for PS5, such is life...

@ILikeStake I'm playing in graphics mode and I only got the warning message once, after 8 hrs of playing, lol... I don't think you'll have any problem since you keep your PS5 clean. Besides, the game is really stressing the console when you fight a boss in the main story line, those happen usually in areas when you open a door or arriving to an arena, you can save at that point, let the console rest for 30 minutes or so, and get into the fight.

@ILikeStake Perhaps reinstalling the game?and it seems that playing quality mode runs better at frames around 60-45fps, give it a try.

FF16, RE4 tie with Jedi: Survivor and Hogwarts Legacy, all make good use of PS5 tech, all made in 2023 not in 2013. D4 is big disappointment, I expected more from Ishin!, I tried to finished but the regular combat, boring story and horrible graphics was enough, not a bad game if you adore 2013 games. A mention apart is Forspoken for being the only one able to run in 120Hz mode in quality mode with a superb combat system, the story and the protagonist are terrible, haha...

After the fiasco I'm experiencing with Diablo 4 I'm done with non PS5 exclusives. The PS5 exclusives make a real use of the console: haptics, 3d sound, graphics, VRR, ALLM, 120Hz mode, etc. I know that many "discerning players" use the PS5 as a glorified PS4 for games from 2013 that can play at 60fps now, that's their choice. There are some exceptions as Hogwarts Legacy and some indie devs that I support as Deck13. D4 runs perfectly for PC, so you can get it at the Autumn sale in Steam, but it's a waste of money in PS5. As for COD, FIFA, GTA, etc, I don't mind, back in the day we used to hang out with real mates, playing on the park and else, not yelling in a game online, so Im fine. And any exclusive PS5 shall receive hate, that's usual... like for FF16 talking about "level design", "real RPG" and else, "it's not like Yakuza", well mate, play Yakuza then, who in their right mind is playing FF16 wanting Yakuza?, the hatred always exist mainly for those who do not own the game. Sorry, life is hard...

When someone says lack of "level design, game design", it's a wee hard to understand because they never say such "design" compared to what, if you ask me, I think it's a very good "level design" since the game is divided on chapters and the levels are according to the plot, perhaps not so good as Ghost of Tsushima, and they are also different, Ghost has got a faster pace and it've very cinematographic, FFXVI on the other hand you must return to the hideaway after a milestone. But the fights are more epic in FFXVI, I was a wee disappointed but actually the fights are at a new level... It seems that modern RPG is also about decimated the fauna, I mean, you are a spider, you just ate your weekly human, you are digesting minding your own business by the road and then bang!!!, bloody Clive came and slashed you with no reason, you'll be like "wtf, these humans are mental", but it also happens in HFW, even in Jedi Survivor, what's wrong with you people!!!, haha... anyhow, I think it's one of the best FF because it's better than FF7 remake by using all the PS5 technology that a real "next gen" game could offer, with a very good manufacture not like a enhanced PS4 game from 2010 that can run at 60ps in PS5...

@Rob_230 I'm in Mexico and the situation is all the contrary: I get far better prices in the PS digital shop than any retail, in this country, they never discount a physical game, and is a recent game is impossible, for instance, I can get Jedi Survivor for a 20% discount un the digital shop, in a retail is still around $80 everywhere. I know that in the USA/UK you can get very good deals from the retailers, never in this country.

@WallyWest Yes, but it seems that many do not play PS5 games at all, so when they play a proper PS5 the console explodes...I prefer PS5 games because of use of last tech like 120Hz mode, VRR, haptics, etc... in fact Forspoken never crashed at 120Hz mode in quality mode, with solid 100-120 fps, Tokyo Ghostwire in HFS+ quality mode with solid 110-120 fps, something a PS4 game cannot give, and I really don't care about the 60fps or 30 fps, you've got Zelda's tear at 30fps, like 10 million people do not care playing the "unplayable" 30fps. But as many said here, a dirty console is the main reason for the failure.

@JuggaloRazzam Nothing wrong with that, I've got PlayStation Plus Premium as well, but I'm not into nostalgia, if that was the case, I'd play the original Pong connected to the antenna and using channel 3, with an excruciating and unplayable 24fps in black and white!!!, lol...but it seems that many people do not play proper PS5 games in their PS5, because a PS4 game doesn't stress the console as a PS5, thus their PS5 get overheated.

For me it's a 10 for being a PS5 exclusive that use the most of the PS5 console, about being "real JRPG or RPG", I remember the days of "real JRPG and RPG", standing up doing endless scrolling reading useless text, MIDI music with turn based combat, where the other characters were crap or brilliant, and just waiting for the "ultimate move" to kill the boss... horrible times, really... and the useless errands and robbing the dead is real RPG, lol... but it seems that many "discerning players" use PS5 as a glorified PS4...

I wonder what did those people play before? only RRD2 at 30fps?, Fortnite at 60fps?lol... I've got 30hrs in Quality Mode with no issues whatsoever, in fact, my PS5 gets hotter playing Forspoken at 120Hz mode but never crashed. Do you people actually play PS5 games? or you only play PS4 games at 60fps?... I don't play PS4 games because I think is senseless because you are underusing the PS5...

@MattBoothDev indeed, people here were whining about spider man 2 deluxe because of the "ugly suits", a transmog in D4 is about $25 and for the sorcerer they always end looking like "Maleficent" and with all the limited features of PS5, this is my last non PS5 exclusive I get... so far FFXVI has not crashed in 60 hours and plays beautifully using my Dualsense Edge... If a need to play a cheap PC game, I can use NVida GeForce Now

@HonestHick Yes, I hope that they fix all those issues before the first season pass. I'm still pissed off for removing the haptics with the sorcerer because I specifically created them around the Ice Shards and all the frozen abilities and they are gone. But the login issues, lags, freezes, etc; are the worst. Anyhow, I've got 2 unique items already, lol, and they say that a fresh character is needed for the season pass. I'll come back to D4 eventually in the meantime FFXVI is brilliant, no overheating issues on my end, I think Forspoken is more demanding.
PS: Looking at the support forums it seems that sorcerer class is broken...

@HonestHick I've got 200 hours in it, they've broken the haptics for sorcerer, perhaps you are lucky but there are many reports on freezes, login issues, the infamous DD attack and else, yesterday I experienced 5 freezes, lags and 3 sudden logouts.. as for other games FFXVI is superior in any aspect for PS5, perhaps D4 is for PC and that's fine but very lacklustre and terrible in PS5... sorry

Perhaps the worst game this year, forget the repetitive combat and else but the constant server login problems, a terrible "live service", freezes, no haptics support, all the praises are useless, this game is terrible, it's a total robbery and does not worth $70, not even $5...

Honestly people you've got more nostalgia and love for the past than my grandpa, I've played FF since day 1and I don't really miss the pixelated characters, MIDI music and scrolling text endlessly. I love the next gen sense with the graphics, haptics, etc. I'm a wee disappointed for the lack of 120Hz mode and the combat system. I love Forspoken combat system because it is punishing and push you to fight better, to kill someone is not enough, you must kill them like a professional and get stars instead E grades... but I'm loving it, there are some performance issues but I'm playing in quality mode, yes, exactly as Zelda, with "unplayable 30 fps" haha

Well, ain't that bad.. compared with FF16, $20 for digital booklet and music... you don't like it, you can't afford it, you hate it, do not buy it until it'll in be in "game pass", haha... Yes, it is a Sony issue... I don't own a copy of D4 and I will when it goes down to $15, but I was having license problems with Miasma Chronicles yesterday. I've tried all the fixes and didn't work until today

I'm also a "seasoned gamer", 51 y.o., I've been playing games since I was 5 and the first ever video game was a console, the Pong... the matches last 1 hour because the "ball" took 5 minutes from one side to the other, haha; perhaps that's why I don't care for less than 60 fps mode. And we want innovation, experience new things: the haptics, VR, more games, etc... back in the day, things were quite simple, you do not like the game, you do not play it or buy it but mainly, you never whine about it, never try to bring it down, specially when there are people working and putting their effort and passion. Variety is the best, not only the games that most people love... to hate a game is stupid, it is just a game. It is better to let them be, stop all that crap... it's the best for all.

I?m very happy with it, I've got no motion sickness at all and I also use the cinema mode quite often, mainly to check how they "should" look, since the glasses are 120hz mode capable, I like to see it in action and it does feel better than a 120hz capable telly. I hope that more VR games are coming since I think is the best VR set currently. And yes, it is a niche market but for me worth the money, specially when I've purchased it instead of a newer telly.
