Re: If Things Don't Turn Around for DON'T NOD, It May Face Closure in a Matter of Months

@guacguacboo problem is (almost always) marketing not the combat (in the case of Banishers). Look how much press Blood of Dawnwalker is getting and very much all comments reflect what you just said about Banishers, "bad combat gets in the way of storytelling" but heres why, good marketing... "a game made by Witcher 3 dev"... will sell no matter how bad the combat mechanics or enemy diversity is.also its a 9/10 on Steam, only IGN seems to have bashed on em... Just bad marketing which resulted in poor sales.

Re: GTA 6 Targeting 30fps on PS5, Undecided on Performance Mode

Funny that the discussion for 60fps with this game actually exists being whether its ok not to have it. But for any other games its automatically not ok and theres usually no room for it.

One must ask why is the biggest release of gaming history with biggest budget getting a pass on such a basic element now a standard in the industry?

Because they chose to push graphics far beyond what the console can handle and they get praises for that? Just another way to re-release paid upgrades later on... I find it a bit lame... Ill continue to play catch n chill at 120fps on my switch 2 in the meantime....

Re: This Revelation Should Terrify All Console Fans, Particularly Those Looking Forward to PS6

I wonder if this is the time where stores start offering payment plans... You know like for cellphones... You pay over 12, 24 months... If consoles are expensive I can see people budgeting for em over time like any large purchases these days.... Most people dont need new phones, but having the ability to pay them over time allows the market to sell them to people anyway by stretching it over several months... Much like overpriced phones, new consoles arent necessary at launch but I believe theres a way Sony/MS/Nintendo can figure out a way to make people afford them and buy em even with increasing prices... And technically if you just keep your current iphone 2 extra years youll save enough money for your new shiny console.....

Re: The Witcher 3 Vibes Are Inescapable in New Dawnwalker Quest Gameplay

Wow that first 7:30min out of 8min was painful to watch (yes I mean the whole thing was painful) , click X 20 times to hear some canned lines, what a poor storytelling mechanic... First BoD footage that actually turns me off and starting to lose interest... And everything clickable in yellow or white marker... Gross design and nothing immersive. Something we've seen (and hate) been done a million times by now... I actually thought this was gonna be good until now.... So disappointed... And then getting a 20 sec underwhelming mini boss fight with little to no action.... So bad...

Re: Rumour: PS6 Costs Sony Almost $1,000 to Make Right Now

I find it funny people assume you can just fit a ps5 pro into a handheld no biggy... I personally don't want an Xbox S handheld edition in the Sony ecosystem... I say either release ps6 as planned or delay 4y. Dont try to bridge the gap here... Instead they could try to ship more ps5 pros in the meantime, were just scratching the surface of pssr on this thing, and just make this the new gen officially... This is going to be very interesting to see how things develop regardless...

Re: Sony May Mitigate Hardware Pricing Nightmare by Simply Selling Fewer PS5s

biggestlozer28

@get2sammyb you know that Costco sells chicken at a loss to get customers to come to their store so they buy other stuff. Same principle applies to ps5s. Sony can afford to lose 100$ per console because in long run those people owning a console sooner rather than later will make them more money. Selling less console doesn't make it more profitable if you look at big picture. Only if you look at the hardware alone but thats not Sony's business model anyway so looking at it from that angle alone makes zero sense in my opinion.

Re: Dragon's Dogma 2 Stripped of All PS5 Microtransactions as DLC Nears

biggestlozer28

I finished the game and explored quite a bit. I was able to ignore completely the fact that microtransactions existed in this game finishing with over 10 unused ferrystones... I used oxcarts alot since this was how the game intended you to travel for the most part and ferrystones only when I needed to skip quickly to a very far location for a specific quest... I do feel bad for those who spent money in the store somehow now that those purchases are being rendered irrelevant... Oh well lesson learn people? Probably not... Those stores shouldn't be allowed to exist....

Re: Crimson Desert's PS5, PS5 Pro Modes Revealed, PS5 Pro Offers Substantial Upgrades

@DennisReynolds yeah im actually reading about this now... Seems fsr3 was introduced in 2024 on base ps5. Where some other methods of upscaling existed prior as well... I thought AI upscaling on ps5 pro was first to introduce upscaling somehow it isnt the case... Interesting...first time I notice a game being upfront and specific about "how" they plan to achieve a specific framerate... Its making me somewhat optimistic...
