Re: Watch PlayStation's Iconic Controller Evolve in Front of Your Eyes

Zep_Fan_81

I do feel after using the asymmetric sticks thats sonys design is more harmonious with the body. Seeing all those pads was a cool memory, i dont miss wired pads!

The DS4 is the best controller by far in terms of comfort and the worst by far in terms of build quality! Sent one launch pad back as rubber split and missed having it for like 2 weeks plus! Now my other launch one has split and i cant be bothered with the saga of getting through to sony support again. Someone start a busines replacing sticks for 10 pounds with a next day return and ill be interested, not sure if i have the inclination to do it myself ...

Re: Review: Dragon Age: Inquisition (PlayStation 4)

Zep_Fan_81

Read several reviews of this game but must say this was the one best written here on push square. Well done.

This site has become my go to for really good reviews which generally leads to a purchase.

The quality and style of some game review sites is terrible ( I do rate Polygon though).

@KALofKRYPTON ill take your word and give it one more try! I was blown away with the graphics but i bought this for online functions and seriously ive never connected once for long enough to have a race.

I have a finite amount of time for my gaming so waiting for connections is no good for me.

I think the devs really should be removing craniums from orrafices personally.

Re: Happy Birthday to You, PlayStation 4

Zep_Fan_81

God I remember getting my psone one evening at blockbuster when they came out. It had destruction derby and I was so blown away. I remember watching the intro parts thinking one day games will be like that and now they are! That console done the rounds with all my friends, was value for money as not everyone had or could afford consoles back then, different to now. Shareplay was my rucksack and bmx:-)

Re: These Custom PS4 Hard Drive Covers Are Really Cool

Zep_Fan_81

Sony if your listening make these available to all, I need one.

Reason is when you repaired my mint launch console you sent one back with the hdd cover scratched to hell, i just couldnt be bothered to complain as was hard enough work getting through to you for the initial repair!

Re: Feature: How Has the PS4 Fared in Its First Year?

Zep_Fan_81

Im really happy with it, had to return the launch console due to a known fault with the blu ray drive spitting disks out but much better than the shower that was the 360.

I feel like im back to the happy days of ps2 as the ps4 really reminds of that system.

Games that ive loved in no particular order;

Tlou
Diablo 3
Thief
Shadow of Mordor
Fifa15

Big let down for me was Destiny and part let down was Driveclub ( makes me cringe a bit when i look at the 'only on playstation' bit on the case). I think Driveclub will be good when its stable as graphically its beautiful. I wont trade it however Destiny ready to go towards dragon Age.

Next year, is going to be a special one i think

Zep_Fan_81

@ShogunRok lol, my bad, yes I see what you meant.

Damn I really do love some of the green or snowy vistas in the movies, guess thats for another lotr game... I like shadow of mordor, ive only just put some hours in, underwhelmed at first and hardly touched since getting day1 but I really get this game now,its got a wow factor to the combat, I like this it a lot.

Re: DriveClub v1.03 Patch Begins to Put PS4 Racer Back on Track

Zep_Fan_81

I bought the physical copy of this yesterday and have no regrets, just what I expected and more in terms of graphics and gameplay.

Once up and running online its definitely going to be great fun, think Evolution have made a perfectly balanced title here and I am glad to have this in the collection.

A really good range of titles so far for the PlayStation, I'm really happy.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 42

Zep_Fan_81

This weekend, picked up drive club, put a good dent in the career already. For me personally I really like this game, its another demonstration of the power of this PlayStation.

Also, grinding through Lego marvel with the child, 200 hours in and getting those deadpool bricks, aaaargh. Great value for money though, haven't touched Hobbit yet.

Bit of shadow of mordor maybe tonight and FIFA 15.

Re: Feature: Man on the Moon - Our Early Intergalactic Impressions of Destiny on PS4

Zep_Fan_81

@teknium_ true, my sentiments exactly. Like you ive gamed every day for years and to be honest ive never felt more excited about the hobby than at the moment! I really am curious to what this holy grail of games is because they seem to hate most other offerings. Don't mean to sound too old but the games now are what I longed for as a kid and its rather sad to see them so harshly judged when they really are absolute works of art. Maybe virtual reality is what people long for... Destiny sparked my imagination and thats satisfying for me. Enjoy the hobby, thats all it is kids.

Re: Round Up: Destiny PS4 Reviews Shoot for the Moon

Zep_Fan_81

I don't get the gaming media (this site excluded) they spend months building up to a game 'oh its going to be this/do this' etc and then it comes out and they pan it. Suppose its mind games to keep us looking for the next game.

As for user reviews, they have become too extreme and I just don't heed them or any of it much now.

Early preview video/screen shots, general theme and concept (not deviating upon release) sell a game to me.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 35

Zep_Fan_81

@mitcHELLspawn Im in the same boat as you! Diablo for the first time and its really great on ps4! Add me on psn if you like, im pretty casual gamer, basically when kids are in bed, youll have the honor of being my first psn friend lol.... How sad (ive lost my mic tho!)

This weekend is going to be a lot of gaming, no work until thursday and have had hardly a break since i got the ps4 in the week it came out, bought so many games and hardly play them really so i will be delving into lots of them.

Re: Not Even Sony Understands Why the PS4 Is Selling So Well

Zep_Fan_81

Another possible reason could be it resembles the ps2 in looks.... Sony certainly played this gen very well, sticking to proven marketing and prouction values. With new tech releases its a fine line between the new and unknown and also what we are familiar with and feel safe with ( habitual desires ).

On a seperate note my kids are just getting into games and I really couldnt let these formulative years be spent with a xbox controller , it wasnt how it was for me and it certainly wont be for them.

Bought them both vitas, now thats a different story....
