Re: Gamescom 2017: DOOM, Skyrim Dated for PlayStation VR

YETi

@hYdeks that's the issue for me as well. They have proved with the likes of Farpoint and RE7 etc. That moving around an FPS environment is achievable the traditional way so why not do it? Forget about feeling sick and just offer two methods of movement. Unfortunately for me this teleportation movement just doesn't work and dilutes the gaming experience. Unless this changes it's a no from me which I'm gutted about . Doom VFR could have been amazing.

Re: Gamescom 2017: Meet the Monsters of Middle-earth: Shadow of War

Looks impressive and I enjoyed the original a great deal. Just hearing all this negative information about boxes makes me nervous so I was a day 1 purchase but not anymore. Shadow of Mordor surprised a lot of people and became a very accomplished game which for many was as a surprise. This time all eyes are on Shadow of War and it seems to be getting bad press and the company seem to be getting greedy which may be their undoing.

I hope they fix these issues. I am at a loss as to why they would release it with niggling play mechanics. I'll wait and see if they release a patch to sort before committing.

Re: Industry Is Better When Nintendo Is Strong, Says Sony

YETi

Competition is always great but Nintendo are not taking on PS4. Nintendo should just stop making consoles and do what they do best ... produce software. This would be released on Xbox and PS4. 4k Mario kart multiplayer and be able to talk to people like proper grown ups.

Re: Talking Point: Did the EA Play 2017 Press Conference Impress You?

YETi

I need for speed payback didn't look too different from rivals. Too scripted for me on the clips we have seen so far.
Battlefront 2. On the surface it didn't look too different from the 1st one. Watching a load of people in MP wasn't the best way to show the game imho. Seeing something from the campaign mode would have been nice.

Re: Sony Believes PlayStation Vita Is Still a Viable System

YETi

@get2sammyb the launch lineup was strong for sure but the battle for handheld superiority is a race not a sprint. There are some great titles but I haven't bought anything for the VITA for sometime. I keep hearing of PS4 releases daily and nothing decent for the Vita in the last few years. I would expect Sony to make more announcements for forth coming Vita games.

Re: Review: Farpoint (PS4)

YETi

@SegaBlueSky yes agreed. Farpoint clearly shows FPS games will work within a VR environment. Battlefront, imagine being a storm trooper running down corridors. Whooooaaa

@shafedog247 COOP MODE is intense and loads of fun. I spent 5 hrs playing many coop levels and it was just a great, fun experience. The sniper rifle and shotgun is a great combo.

Tip: I thought the game had locked up a few times during play. We were wandering around looking for a way out only I found a very small spider hiding behind a rock. Once he was killed this a new wave of monsters came so all good. This did happen a few times.

Re: Capcom's Bringing More Resident Evil to PlayStation VR

YETi

@get2sammyb Totally agree, one of the best gaming experiences I have had the pleasure of in 35 years of gaming. Considering that PSVR is only about 7 months old there has been plenty of decent titles released as well as showing loads of potential.

Saying RE7 is incredibly bad is surprising but each to their own.

Used to love playing NBA Jam in the arcades so bought this. Impressed with the game I just hope future patches will iron out some of the small issues here and there.
