Re: Add Sapporo Beer's Iconic Logo to Atsu's Arsenal in Ghost of Yotei

WhoderMan

I had to look up what happened.

If you boycott a game cause 1 person says something you don't like then you will be boycotting every single thing that involves multiple people. Which is like nearly every business.

The CEOs and owners of many if not most businesses have probably said or supported things that you don't like or agree with.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy a PS1 at Launch?

WhoderMan

My friend got it at launch and had Battle Arena Toshinden. I'm not sure what else he had.

I went for a vastly reduced in price 3DO. I remember doing that primarily because it could daisy chain so many controllers, had a ton of cheap games available by then and because of the M2 upgrade they announced but never delivered.

I got a PSOne when the writing was on the wall for the M2 and got the Iron & Blood D&D fighting game that was supposed to be an M2 exclusive. Also got Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain.

Eventually, so many classics on PSOne. Soul Reaver, Tomb Raider, FFVII, Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Final Fantasy Tactics, etc.

@SMJ

There is a bigger audience for videogames now than there has ever been. I feel pretty confident about that especially when you include pcs and mobile devices. The PS2 absolutely dominated its generation and squashed the competition. But it didn't have any hits that stand out the way Call of Duty has in later generations.

I don't know much about Call of Duty, but as far as PS2 games on that list, I see Guitar Hero 3 (which was also PS3 as far as I know), GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas.

The rest seems to be PS3 and PS4 mostly. Some of these titles are cross-gen games. GTAV has been on the PS3, PS4 and PS5.

Keep in mind that the population has increased as well. This is why corporations love to brag about the most sales ever. Like there are probably more canteloupes sold than have ever been sold in history. Cause there are now more people who like canteloupe.

I don't like canteloupe. Canteloupe can suck it! As can GTA and CoD, lol.

Re: Rumour: PS6 Handheld Device Can Be Docked Like Nintendo Switch 2

@gamma64

I knew there were things that I was forgetting from the PS3 era! Nintendo had the Wii with their fancy motion control using 3 axes. Somehow, Sony upped it to SixAxis Motion Control, lol!

And then the Move controllers which had joysticks on them and were actually pretty good (I liked them at least).

Re: Rumour: PS6 Handheld Device Can Be Docked Like Nintendo Switch 2

WhoderMan

@Boxmonkey Sony has made bank by copying and doubling Nintendo.

SNES -> 2 Triggers — PSOne -> 4 Triggers Baby!
N64 -> Analog Stick — PSOne -> Dual Analog, Baby!
N64 ->Rumble Pack — PSOne -> Dual Shock, Baby!
GameCube -> Long pull Trigger — PS2 --> All buttons pressure sensitive, Baby! (Not sure but I think PS2 actually launched before the GameCube...)
NDS -> 2 Screens, 1 with touch — PSVita 1 screen but 2 Touch capable things, Baby! (Ok, this isn't quite double...)

Now Switch 1 and 2 -> dockable and portable — PS6 compatible handheld -> dockable on 2 outputs at the same time and comes with a 2nd handheld device for twice the portabilty, BABY!!!

GO SONY!

LOL

Re: Preview: The Outer Worlds 2 Doubles Down on RPG Gameplay to Great Effect

WhoderMan

@AaronBayne

Someone at PushSquare should ask Microsoft and Obsidian about 2 things:

1. Why hasn't the Premium Edition of the game dropped in price $10 to match the price drop of the Standard Edition? Currently, this means that the contents of the Premium Edition, initially valued at $20, has risen in price to $30 more than the Standard Edition. What is their claimed justification for this? Wll the price of the Premium Edition drop by $10?

2. How much data will be on the pS5 disc? Will it be just a download key or an actual build of the game?

Thanks!

Re: Shinobi: Art of Vengeance (PS5) - A Gorgeous, Triumphant Return for SEGA's Ninja Series

WhoderMan

@Quintumply

Hiya! It looks like you did the reviews for The Messenger, Ninja Gaiden Ragebound and Shinobi Art of Vengeance. If so, it might be a fun article to read your comparisons of the 3.

I have almost completed The Messenger (getting all of the collectibles was a bit of a struggle, but I did it; just gotta finish the last level and then do Picninc Panic DLC). Really looking forward to Shinobi, but feel like Ninja Gaiden may be a lot like The Messenger in some ways.

Anyways, it is just an idea for ya!

Re: Metal Gear Solid Delta's Dismal PS5 Pro Support Could Use a Rethink

WhoderMan

Well, hopefully I can't get downvoted into the negatives, but here goes... lol

Currently, the game has an 86 average on Metacritic. Seems to me that if you wanna play it, you are likely to enjoy it, as the reviewer here did.

I watched the Digital Foundry review. They enjoyed the game! They then went and spent 30 minutes or so telling you its technical issues. Many of those you won't notice much while playing (some you will, for sure). I intend to play it and I am openminded enough to say later if the issues impacted my enjoyment and if so, how much.

If all you want to do is complain about something and dogpile with other people, that's your prerogative. In my opinion, people are taking this too far and blaming the reviewer which is unfair. Digital Foundry liked the game and did an exposé on its faults. So if you watched it for 30 minutes and saw nothing but negatives then you really aren't seeing the forest for the trees.

People complained and dogpiled on Concord and honestly that game seemed fine for the little bit I played it. Not amazing, just totally fine and very polished. It is a shame to see so many people rage about something like this without having played the game and seen for themselves whether or not it is that severe.

Regardless, I hope it gets patched and the PS5 Pro version improves. In the meantime, the game seems fun as heck.

Re: PS5 Sequel Darksiders 4 Has Online and Split-Screen Co-Op, By the Way

WhoderMan

From the Playstation Store page, it looks like it has a single player offline mode. Which makes me think that you swap out the characters when needed or wanted.

There is also a 2-4 player co-op mode, but we don't know yet if that is playable for the entire game or if it is just a separate online portion.

But basically, there is just a lot we don't know yet. I remember people asked for a co-op game with all 4 horsemen (horsepersons?) for years.

Personally, I prefer a single player romp like Darksiders 1 or 2; less so for 3. Gotta go find and play Genesis now... Excited for any Darksiders news and honestly, this seems like the big budget title we have wanted for the franchise ever since 2 was released!
