@get2sammyb Right! I think people have realized that it's not like there was a shortage of great FPSs available anyway. With new DLC packages dropping for the other major franchises, attention seems to have moved on quickly. It's a crowded market and EA really could have done with the extra support the PS4 would have given them
I want both. Hopefully Ubisoft will have some kind of package deal. If I could get 50% off Comet with Unity, or even better, if an improved version of Comet came in a bundle with Unity on PS4 that would be great.
Like a few others here, I have been subscribed to PS Plus since they were giving away a PSN game, a mini, a crappy theme, a PSone classic no one wanted and a piece of DLC for a game I'll never own. And that was only for PS3! The service has come a long way since then and it is definitely worth it to me.
On the other hand I can see why people are complaining, once you're given something you like, you want it again and again. That's not always going to happen, in fact the quality of games offered might fall, it really depends on whether the publishers actually felt the benefits of releasing their games on Plus on not. I suspect that they didn't lead to as many follow on sales as they were hoping for, in some cases, so we might not see the likes of AC and Saints Row on there again.
People are complaining about the PS4 offerings, but what do you expect? Killzone? Knack? There is no way you'll get those for a while, if ever. It's not like a Killzone game has ever come to Plus before.
We're not losing a lot IMO. It's not like any of the games these studios made were essential to Sony. For whatever reason the best games are being made by the likes of EA and Ubisoft. Sony needs to get better at hiring and managing their talent to make games like assassins creed and battlefield. Then they'd be making real profit.
I agree with Sammy's score, but the fact that gamers seem to have such compelling reasons to defend it heartens me. I'm going to give it a real go and play it seriously.
The longer it takes the worse it's going to be because it shows how many problems the game has. Plus, what about the annual Assassins' Creed game? That's also going to be affected. Difficult times for Ubisoft.
No way. Once I've played the game I've played the game. Not going to buy the same game again for better visuals. I can count on one hand the games I've want to play through multiple times and nearly all of those begin with Un- and end with -charted.
Doesn't look that fun. It depends how they put it altogether. If the story is interesting and merges well with the game-play then it could be worth a lot.
Wow this is starting to feel like a trend now. My guess is that everyone underestimated development time for new-gen games. We're just going to have to get used to longer development cycles.
I'm playing through this on PS3 as part of the PS Plus offerings. The performance is hardly great on PS3 so I have to wonder how it will run on Vita. If it runs well and the DLC is availabe too I'm interested.
Also, this made me laugh; "her game love knows no bounds – and neither does her backlog."
Yeah I'm waiting. I'd like to know if it's coming out before or after Infamous. I'd also like to know when Watch Dogs and The Crew are coming out. I'd buy any of those games if they were available now.
I have a 16gb card and I don't really have a problem deleting games I've got bored with. I can always download them again if I want. Remote playing Assassins Creed 4 is just about the best use of my Vita at the moment, though I do really appreciate it for long journeys as well. Time flies playing Pixeljunk monsters with a good gaming podcast playing through the Music app at the same time.
I really hope this is good, but it's a lot to ask for from Evolution I think. The Motorstorm series is good, but it doesn't have particularly deep gameplay IMO.
@omnyoto I've got the plat for FC3 and I didn't play the MP at all. There are trophies for the coop, which is fun and easy, even playing with randoms. Give it a go!
I'm playing Killzone on Vita. It's so much better than both Resistance and COD. I wonder what this team will do next? Minor shout-out goes to Unit 13 as I think they took some important notes from that game.
Watchdogs is the winner. But i'm also interested in Killzone and Driveclub, it depends how much they are a step up from their last gen offerings. I'm always interested in COD and Assassins, but I could quite easily play them on PS3 instead, and I doubt I would be losing much.
@get2sammyb You disliked Joel? I didn't feel that. I more felt, given the FUBAR situation, he did the only thing he could live with himself doing, and that was save Ellie. I think if he hadn't have saved Ellie I would have hated him far more.
Finally cloud saving!!! I can now delete a game without having to backup save files on a computer first. Why they don't just have them save to the memory card I don't know. I accidentally lost a lot of saves due to that.
I was very happy with the ending, in fact I thought it was one of the best parts of the game. So subtle and understated, but at the same time powerful and memorable. And this coming from the team that threw in blue mutants at the end of their last game! Actually I didn't mind that to much in U2, but it still shows that Naughty Dog have evolved greatly.
I'm not a big fan of having cameras around my TV. I've got the PS Eye and Move, but they're not very useful. KillZone 3, Resistance 3 and RE5 were good, but if you want to be doing the harder levels or multi-player then it's much better with the regular controller.
@get2sammyb OK thanks. Still, given what I've seen, 25 per cent is not that low. Level 10 takes a while to reach. Not that I'm criticizing your piece, I just don't think it's that supportive of your point.
Also. Thanks for introducing me to PSNprofiles! My rarest trophy is Wipeout - Fury Campaign Legend, which I don't remember being difficult at all. Less than 4% get it, maybe some people were happier playing multiplayer than seeing the SP campaign through to the end
Can anyone answer this question: Why do PSNprofiles amount of owners for games seem so low. BLOPS 2 has most owners with only half a million. Something tells me they have a sample size issue as that game, plus many more, sold millions, not thousands.

I wonder when EA will realize it was a mistake to not launch Titanfall on PS4?

@3rdEyeMind I enjoyed it too. Second only to Outlast actually.

Re: PS4's Free PlayStation Plus Title Is Probably Mercenary Kings in April
@Reverandjames And give up online play? I don't think I'd ever do that.
I'm OK with their Plus strategy on PS4, as long as they keep giving away the goods on PS3 and Vita.

Re: Insurgent Pack to Infiltrate PS4 Exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall Next Month
Does this not put those without a season pass at too much of a disadvantage?
BTW I found the story compelling and felt that it had a good moral.

Re: Resogun Developer's Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition Fires onto PS4 Next Week
@Tasuki You got it. They also gave this game away for free after the anonymous hack so it's kind of a bum deal.
Re: Resogun Developer's Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition Fires onto PS4 Next Week
@ShogunRok It's a twin-stick shooter. Nothing special.
Re: God of War Still Looks Stunning on the PlayStation Vita

I hate these shallow click-bait articles.
Re: Feature: Mad About Madden - Then and Now
I played the hell out of John Madden, EA Hockey and Team USA Basketball as a kid. How much engagement have I had with those sports since? Almost zero.

Re: Wait, Uncharted PS4 May Still Be Releasing This Year?
I think it's very unlikely. I bet Naughty Dog would like to be more upfront and honest, but Sony wouldn't let them.

Uncharted 2

COD MW2
Re: Feature: Games of the Generation - Sammy's Five Favourites
@eliotgballade Why do you I think don,t like 'em?
Re: Feature: Games of the Generation - Sammy's Five Favourites
Are these in order? Because if I was going to make an order to your list, it would be how you have them here.
Re: Feature: Games of the Generation - Jamie's Five Favourites
Very good list. Difficult to order, but I would say:
1. Last of Us
2. Read Dead Redemption
3. Batman
4. Killzone 3
5. Vanquish
Re: Feature: Games of the Generation - Ben's Five Favourites
I would say:
1. Heavy Rain
2. Resistance
3. Bordelands
4. Oblivion
5. Mass Effect 2
Re: Feature: Games of the Generation - Greg's Five Favourites
From this list I would say:
1. MGS4
2. RE5
3. Heavenly Sword
4. Wipeout
5. Oblivion

Re: Review: WipEout (PSone)
I used to play this a lot... on PC. Back then I only bought Nintendo games consoles.
Re: Tomb Raider's Popularity Hasn't Capsized, Reboot Reaches 4 Million Sales
