@Voltan You don't need to be old to remember that. It was that way until a few years ago when the price of consoles started increasing. The PS4 dropped in price lots. I think 99% of people reading this site were around 6 years ago during the PS4 generation

@Frmknst Yes we all know that you like the best games and we should all just play the real cool games that you like.

Sadly, I am not as cool as you and like this. I am really sad that you don't like this and I am currently questioning my life choices. Just so I don't waste my time in future, am I ok to look forward to GTA 6?

Would be great if you could make a website to let us all know what we should all be enjoying to cut out the middle man.

@LifeGirl I agree, I never get why people actively click and comment on things they don't like. Only thing I can think if is that it makes them feel superior or something? It is very weird.

I don't like sports, so you don't find me on Man united forums saying "Some people like wasting their time watching grown men kick a ball, Hu".

@RoomWithaMoose If the game is due to be in peoples hands this time next week, it must have gone gold. If not then they have to print a million discs in several countries, send them all to sellers and then have them delivered to customers in 7 days.

I would imagine this went gold in Early February with all additional work being done for the day one patch.

@Th3solution I think its because of the type of game it is. The resi games are usually short and contain a metroid vania style loop to unlock new areas. This leads to speed running etc.

The problem with games like spiderman etc is that they are often 30 hours long and are often just more of the exact same thing. I get what you are saying but the Resi games are just far better "games". They are very re-playable with challenge runs that unlock rewards in game like new weapons or infinite ammo etc. I went back and replied 7 and village before reqiuem came out and they are still awesome 8 hour romps... I can ever imagine wanting to reply spider man, ghosts etc. They are 2 long, story heavy etc.

I think of these more like the Mario series. Its still Resi, but in a whole new puzzle filled escape room to master etc. Lets Face it, most Sony Sequels could literally been a large expansion to the previous game.

Why not? I much prefer a fantastic 10 hour game that I can replay, than a 70 hour Ubisoft game that involves me going to an area on a map, doing the same 4 things, then repeating somewhere else.

Why is artificial padding the most important metric to players now days? If requiem was padded out to even 30 hours it would lose the tight, packed quality it has achieved. Or if it wasn't padded, and the whole 30 hours was of this quality, it probably would have taken 3 times as long to make. I personally love the current cadence of one great resident evil game of this length every 2 years ( which is has been the trend since resi 2 remake ), than one great game every 6 years.

I will never understand why some people can only enjoy a game if it isn't available to others. Do people seriously think " I won't be able to enjoy God of war anymore now that people on Xbox can play it as well.

Despite it leading to Microsoft's suicide in the console business, I really couldn't care less that Playstation gamers can now also play Halo. This is a hobby people, that's it. Blind loyalty to any of the mega corporations is just stupid.

Enjoy your hobby with out hating other people that love the exact same hobby, but play on a system with a green sticker instead of a blue one. This will baffle me till the end of days I swear!!!! I assume it is because people listen to Youtubers who scream about this kind of nonsense.

If you are an adult with disposable income, buy the console that has the game you want to play on it. If you cant afford a console, then I would advise focusing on getting your life on track rather than debating which entertainment box is better... seriously.

@nessisonett I am still going to stick with it... I just wish the game would let me actually "play" for a long stretch. I am sure the payoff with the plot will be worth it but I am playing final fantasy tactics alongside this and it is infinitely better written at the moment

@Meowmixes98 I really wanted this to mine as well. I have been looking forward to jumping into the trails series for years but could not find a decent jumping on point. I am currently half way through chapter 2 ( the Akademy sequence ) and seem to find myself dozing off every evening which is irritating the hell out of me.

I had heard it was slow burn, but NOTHING happens. I really like the combat but keep getting locked into large sequences where the characters talk but only some of the dialogue is voiced. This would be fine if they voiced the main story but not the side quests, I would understand that... but they have conversations where NPC characters are voiced and the main cast aren't, or a scene that starts voiced and then goes text only... its all so Jarring.

I still really like it but the main plot should have started by the 20 hour mark! Instead I am now taking part in a school play for some reason. Very odd considering I was ending a smuggling ring of pirates just before. Its so tonally weird!

@Frmknst There is always at least one isn't there. Mad that people are excited about something they don't like so they have to piss on everyone's parade. Did it help? Did your coffee taste better after this post?

If it can run on Series S then it could run on switch 2. They are porting over FF7 remake and rebirth. I don't see why they wouldn't do 16 as well
