The more I see this, the more I'm unsure about its implementation. I hope it's customisable. Sometimes I don't want to know how much of a level or game I've got left.

If this is the music that plays when you scroll down for more info on the XMB, I'll probably never hear it ever again.

Is it a bug though, or just a design flaw?

@Rhaoulos Noooooooo I really dislike asymmetrical controller design. I'm so glad Playstation have stuck with the layout they have.

In Sony's defence, I don't think it's "monitoring", or "listening" to those last 5 minutes. The system hears it, sure. But that can be said for almost every bit of electronic kit. There's a digital footprint for everything. But it's most likely that the 5 minutes are encrypted, meaning someone at Sony can't just listen in, until you press the big red button to send it to them. It'll just keep "deleting" anything past the last 5 minutes perpetually, (like a goldfishes' brain, if you say their memory only lasts 5 minutes). I personally don't have an issue with it.

As for the ethics surrounding potential abuse and friends... I'm not delving into that. I don't have any friends to voice chat with anyway.

Say what you want about the Killzone games, but Killzone 2 (YES!), and Shadow Fall are two of the cleanest and nicest looking shooters available. Even Liberation looked great on the PSP. We already know what they can do with Horizon, so it would be interesting to see if they dive back into the Killzone franchise for more fantastic looking gunplay.

@710King I reckon they really won. But the boxes were empty and they were told their PS5 would be sent to them for launch day.

@deathaxe I used to be with plusnet and experienced the exact same, and not 35-40 either as it's just my wife and I. Since switching back to BT I still experience it on my Mac but nothing else.

No, it's the Mac. It's always been like that. I split my time between the UK, Japan, and Australia and wherever I am it's always the same.

@RicksReflection Yes. Having something convenient and extra available for free would be nice, but I can't have gripes with his being behind a subscription.

@redd214 I'm still part of the old guard. I always buy physical when I can, but when there are sales on the PS store there are sometimes very good deals! Having a stable (faster in this case) wifi connection on the console is such a relief, even if you have good internet. I have good internet with BT, but my MacBook drops out a lot. Which is not the internet, just the notoriously finicky apple radio. So anything to improve reliability is welcome!

@redd214 This coupled with WIFI 6 will make the experience of browsing and buying off the store so much better.

@thejameswhogames Just don't go to the control centre... Although, I suppose you can still see on the main screen. Hopefully, there'll be options for customisation, yeah.

I knew there would be a caveat. But it's not too surprising. While nice, it seems purely like a pay-for-convenience feature. Others will just stick to reaching for their laptops. It's a good feature to have though.

@thejameswhogames I'll probably use a huge chunk of it regularly. Much better having a control centre, than have the PS button take you back out to the main PS screen.

@MightyDemon82 I think it was more that people didn't believe that it was going to be "PS5 UI, Presented By Burger King. Have It Your Way", which to be fair, this isn't lol.

@naruball Excited for this. I love having information presented to me. Especially now that I have to adult and don't have all the time in the world. It's nice knowing where I am and what I'm doing game wise.

I was never fussed about the UI, but now they've shown it - it means the PS5 IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGH! Need something good to happen this year. This is it!

@RicksReflection I have no idea about that side of things But the official Godfall twitter account stated that you do not need PS+ to play solo.

Everyone remember though, they changed the PS3 cases halfway through. They could do it again here.

@djape Why is it a bad start? Godfall being the first off the production line and ready to ship doesn't mean the other games won't follow... all it means is they're done... The PS5 isn't isn't out yet.

@Nightcrawler71 You don't need PS Plus to play solo. Bad wording on their part not putting "For 2+ Players" or something.

Well, I'm only buying Miles Morales at launch, so pretty often I'd say! Excited for the Hot Pursuit Remaster, and there are a few titles on the Plus Collection haven't played.

@glassmusic I dunno if that's true, in regards to the law. Couldn't you then just say I'll have a million lottery tickets please, but by law I don't have to pay for them.

@djlard I mean.. it's not a big deal. It's just the case. I doubt people really care what it looks like, as long as shows what game it is and you can put a disc inside. They'll just be put spine out on a shelf anyway.

@Arugula Judge Eyes is one of my favourite games of all time. All thanks to the vibe and story. I just loved being in the world. Couldn't get on board with Yakuza, but now that it's a different game, both in terms of characters and gameplay, I'll definitely buy it.

I'd say it's a decent sized map, not huge, and Kamurocho was tiny!

Go! 5 Jigen Game Neptune reVerse - a second remake of the first game and essentially a remake of the PS Vita game. (It's also full price. A remake of a PS Vita game, that was a remake of a PS3 game... at ¥7,600 [$70]... I think it's one to pass on).

Japan is actually doing much better than a lot of other places (not saying they're doing great, but better). Retail hasn't seen the drop that was expected. Of course there is one, obviously, but not at the levels projected. Hospitality has taken the biggest hit, but kombinis are still doing okay. Toho cinemas have also pretty much wiped out their losses from earlier this year, close to matching last year's record numbers. Will probably see a big push on the high street, for the PS5. Pretty exciting.

@BionicDodo You don't need next gen to understand the benefit. Whenever I go back and play an older game it's almost not worth it. Something like Tsushima is so much quicker than a game from a couple of years ago, also on PS4, for instance. So I can't wait for even quicker loading. It's not even about the time per say. I don't mind sitting for a moment and waiting. I can talk to someone if I'm sat with someone, or take a sip of tea. It's just an immersion breaker. Also if you're playing a score based game, you could be on a roll and lose your flow.

@theheadofabroom Make a pot! So simple! So used to individual cups. I don't even think I own a pot lol. Shopping time.
