Bosmer are gross. Actually role playing as one requires not picking plants (the green pact) and eating only meat. They're also religiously cannibalistic.
I'm rough on controllers, so just want a quality product with more durable sticks. Both my dual shock 4s have notches worn into the shafts, as do others I have.
If they can give me the freedom and lore of TES and the quality and detail of W3's world, I'll be happy. If they pull a Fallout 4 (voiced protagonist, limited dialogue options, linear gameplay etc) with VI, I'll just play more Morrowind and Daggerfall. Skyrim was a good blank slate to mod into shape, but I don't feel like buying a new computer every time they release a new game only to spend days modding the imbalance and bugs out and fun into it. I cannot be bothered any more. Morrowind needs like 6 little gameplay fixes, and some aesthetic bumps, and Daggerfall...I just like Daggerfall, despite it's many, many problems. I have 16 gigs of mods for Skyrim. Takes adding survival mechanics to make traversing that map fun more than a few times. "Oh, so go to this cave and kill some Draugr and/or bandits? Oh, vampires this time? Wow." Then save files slowly becoming unusable due to basic software design problems... I was sceptical of W3 having a fixed protagonist and a focus on the campaign, but what's there is so good, and there's just so much to do while you're doing main quest that I'll take the next CDPR game over another Skyrim or Fallout 4. Skyrim got me into modern (post 2000) RPGs, but in the face of so many options (even the Saturday morning cartoon that ESO is), I don't know that I care about the next bethsoft game so much.
Headset + camera + two Move controllers + more chargers for the Move things... Oh, and some smaller glasses. To play a few arcade games and some tech demos.
Ooor I could buy a PS3 and library of games for it. ...I'd probably have enough left over for some more PS4 games.
As a big fan of SMT proper, I'm so sad that I'm abysmal as the visual novel segments of Persona. I played for hours in P4G and did everything wrong. No stat upgrades, missed important encounters... I couldn't get into the story as a result. I'm not criticising the game. I was just so lost. I'm gonna have to skip what's probably a great game.
"...can result in instant failure". That results in me not caring about this game. I'm not big into stealth games, even got bored with Dishonored. (In no small part to finding the story to just get in the way, and the morality system to be rubbish) I despise being told that I'm some mind of mystical force of awesome, but I have no chance of success if anyone notices me.
After all the praise, I was shocked by how much I hated Devastation. The way it feels, the lack of weight to movement and attacks, the number of things mapped to L1, the tutorials interrupting gameplay, the slow-motion that kicks in when I'd have preferred to just dodge... It looks and sounds cool, but in my brief stint with it, it made me very unhappy to actually play.
@johncalmc I'm terrified that they'll stuff BL3 with microtransactions. It already has 3 currencies: $, Eridium and Golden Keys. I'm even more afraid they'll make it some kind of Destiny clone. I've always solo'd Borderlands games. I dislike the tons of bullet sponge enemies that spawn ib co-op, and dealing with more people not interested in RP(yeah, I RP in BL. I'm weird like that). If they push multiplayer more, I'll write it off. TPS was balanced for a full party, so solo was a chore at times. Gearbox is... Gearbox.
I'd actually be more likely to consider it if they hadn't launched it so cheap without first dropping the price of the original units further. I paid the same price months ago. I can't help but feel a bit cheated.
If this looks interesting, do yourself a favour and set up a Japanese PSN account and play the demo. In my experience while the mechanics are solid and it looks nice, it plays like a cheap free-to-play MMO encountering the same enemies over-and-over, quests with no depth...
I honestly think Kiwami is the better buy. Sure, it doesn't have an 'open world' but in this case that just means "a big map into which the quests spawn baddies". It's not dynamic in any way.
There are low-level trash mobs around, and anything worth hunting is spawned by quests which are basically "kill this because reasons".
The fixed maps with loading screens are at least honest about this and you don't have to backtrack when you finish.
This is a bold experiment that failed.
Maybe they wanted to make an MMO and it didn't work out...

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want to Know About PS4 Pro?
@banacheck Ech. If Bloodborne gets a patch I'll consider it..
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want to Know About PS4 Pro?
Will existing games have a more stable framerate?
Re: Titanfall 2 Runs Better and Looks Better on PS4 Pro
All I care about is a more stable framerate on standard games.
I'm sick of stutter in Bloodborne...

In a nutshell: "We're finally sick of re-skinned GTA".
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition Goes Gold on PS4
@GamerDad66 Skyrim isn't as huge and diverse as some more recent games.
All they've done here is brush up on the engine and some textures.
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition Goes Gold on PS4
No SKSE, no SkyRe/PerMa. I hope something similar surfaces.
That game needs mods to fix the balance.

Re: Review: Aragami (PS4)
@get2sammyb Unity is cheap and easy, so crap devs use it.
Unreal will perform poorly if used by crap devs as well.

Re: Download Your Free PlayStation Plus Games Now
@MinerWilly so... Action games?
There are a few different genres in that list.

Re: Battleborn's Probably Maybe Possibly Going Free-to-Play Soon
If single player gets an offline mode, I'm in. I live in the sticks, and have satellite Internet. I can't just stay online, sadly.
Re: Battleborn's Probably Maybe Possibly Going Free-to-Play Soon
@seanobi Yeah, how dare they release a demo... SIIIIIIIIIGH
Re: Battleborn's Probably Maybe Possibly Going Free-to-Play Soon
@dryrain You're losing nothing.

Wow.
A feature from the 1980s.
So innovative.
The fact that this actually does warrant news makes me sad...
