Helldivers 2 Servers Finally Stabilising, Team Now Resuming 'Original Plan' 1

Helldivers 2 has been, and continues to be, immensely popular, and it's been the victim of this early success ever since launch. Developer Arrowhead Studios has been putting out fires everywhere, trying to increase server capacity and fix early problems to accommodate the huge demand from eager players. Now, weeks after release, it seems the co-op shooter has finally reached a stable point.

With the game now able to host up to 800,000 concurrent players, queues to get into the action are now very short or non-existent. While there's still work to be done to ensure server-side issues are minimised, the studio is now moving onto fixing issues with the game itself and cracking on with its post-launch plans.

CEO and game director Josef Pilestedt commented on social media about the state of Helldivers 2, praising the team for its hard work to get everything working:

Now that the online side of things is where it needs to be, Pilestedt says the developer now finally has time to "focus on improvements to the title and resume our original plan". He teases that there are "many exciting things upcoming".
