When did Battlefield start single player campaigns? Definitely didn’t start out that way. Not a core part of BF. BF Bad Company 2 had a fun, but short campaign if my memory is correct. Moot.

Non issue now. Only server queues I ever got were at launch launch. I’m in every time like normal.
I just don’t think they understood that an F ton of people had alarms set and just hit start.
