Although, people have actually ripped both games apart.
Saints Row got ripped apart from a teaser trailer 🤣 and it's quality has been questioned. I've enjoyed what I've played of it so far, but agree it leaves a lot to be desired.
The main gripe of people with TLoUR was the fact that it was £70 for a game that's already dirt cheap, regardless than if the game was built from the ground up graphically. It doesn't add enough to really be worth £70. Whereas Saints Row was about £55 and offered more in the way of new things, even if it is being ripped apart by core fans of the franchise.

The other issue I've seen is people asking Sony why this was being made when the entire team could have worked on TLoU online and got that out. ND also haven't made a new IP since PS3, which doesn't help. You put all these things together and you get why people are annoyed that it's getting a remake.

I've been pretty vocal against it, but may play it when it goes on PS+ in a year.

It's in the same sales-window is why they mention it.
It's probably the nect biggest release of the entire quarter so, it makes sense.
I do find it funny, personally, but sales are always comparable.

I'd assume he's assuming that the game will be the same every year like FIFA without much improvement.
I ended up buying FIFA bi-yearly in before I stopped playing it. It was the way I could see some sort of improvement that way.

I'm sure you guys see your fair share of attacking yearly releases. I don't get it personally, as it'd probably be better to sell updated teams every other season and a full release bi-yearly.

More power to the people who enjoy these games though, we all like different things as gamers.

Not really, I was down for an Beurau-esque (I can't spell that word, EVER) Xcom-come-Marvel game. But it seems to be more along the lines of the original Xcom with deck building, which sort of loses my interest.
Will wait to see some lets plays and Gameranx's "Before you buy" video before making up my mind.

I reckon they could give anything a go. They certainly proved they can do storydriven horror. I'd like to see them go a little more in to the genre though and get a bit more horror-y (I might have invented a word).

No point arguing with people with blinkers on that can't see that both Sony and MS pull this sort of crap all the time. No matter who went first.
MS and Sony (particularly MS) need to stop buying studios up. Between them two, Embracer and Tencent, there'll be no indies left.

They won't be able to buy Sony, they make up more than 10% of Japans technology industry and only 10% is allowed to be owned by an foriegn company. It's a law in Japan. Now Nintendo could buy Sony if they could afford it.

They've also pretty much said (although not directly) that Fallout won't be on PS anymore as well.

Ironically, Sony stole the exclusivity from MS in the first place, when MS basically took the bundle rights away for FIFA, doing a deal with EA to bundle Xboxes with it.

Deathloop and Tokyo already have exclusivity deals put in place before MS brought Bethesda. Poor choices to say that they are still giving PS games.
Phil also confirmed bot long ago that Indiana is not coming to PS anymore.

@Would_you_kindly CoD unfortunately makes a lot more money for PS than most of Activision's other games.
It's why it's such a huge talking point.
I mean, CoD hasn't been anything special for years.

The remasters of AC3 and FC3 were campaign only, weren't they?

It makes sense to keep AC3 and AC4 active as some people I know still play those, particularly Wolfpack on AC3.

Amazons been renting it for £5 since it left cinemas.

I wasn't blown away by this, but it is better than almost every other video game film.
I've still never forgiven Fassbender for Assassin's Creed.

I'm just starting it and I gotta say, it's a LOT better than the trilogy they did.
Until Dawn is still better though, from what I've played so far.

@thefourfoldroot1 Spider's games have always released in a horrible state, Greedfall was the first one that wasn't pretty much broken in some way until patches.
So, this is welcome in my book, shows that they want to release it in the best state possible.

@ErrantRob Greedfall I plated on both PS4 and PS5. Loved it. The DLC was poo, but the main game was sooooo good.

Yeah, but Dead Space is 14years old and has had two sequels, plus the series has been dead (excuse the pun) for 9years.
The last of Us came out 9years ago, was remastered 8years ago and its sequel only came out less than 2years ago.
These two franchises are hardly in the same realms of neccessity.

@R1spam That's a fair enough reason, but as part of the subscription, you technically don't own the game, so Capcom are still entitled to ask you for money towards the upgrade as it took effort to make the PS5 version. I mean it's only £15.99, there's companies that have charged almost three times that amount for rereleases that could easily be classed as an upgrade.

I still don't understand what is tripping you up 🤣. There's effort gone in to making the PS5 version, they're only going to let people who actually paid them for it upgrade. It's how it works.

The context was implied by the airquotation marks, hence, "Free". Once again, you didn't actually pay for the collection, it was given to you by the goodwill of the developer, and they can at anytime, if they so choose, pull it from the service. It's how subscriptions work, I'm afraid, thus making it a "free" copy. Not a free copy. It wasn't given to you as a cost to yourself, so why should they let you upgrade for free. It's entirely up to them.
