Re: 'We're Not Hiding Anything': Crimson Desert Dev 'Sick' of Claims Around No PS5 Footage

SlyASpiE

I get it must suck to keep getting asked the same question, but when you're part of an industry that has a track record of misleading and flat out lying to its customers, from shady marketing to releasing half baked or just broken products, that if done in any other industry would have caused multiple lawsuits by now, then I'm afraid you're going to have people being incredibly sceptical, especially when it appears as if you're doing them same shady practices even if you're not, we've been burnt too many times to not be able to spot the signs a mile off

Re: PS5's Wolverine Won't Be at This Week's State of Play

SlyASpiE

Well I'm hoping Crimson Desert gets some actual PS gameplay, there's gotta be Saros from Housemarque, all the Cory Barlog talk going round maybe something from Santa Monica, RE9 although they did a big bit for Nintendo. Might hear from Bend, surely Bungie gotta a dead cert with Marathon, no idea about Blue point or San Diego

Re: The Internet Has Not Been Kind to Horizon Hunters Gathering

SlyASpiE

@StitchJones 100% agree but speaking of money if this fails hard it might cause layoffs, impacting the release of H3 even more, it's just a silly decision all round, again if they wanted to test the waters a small team reusing assets was the way to go, whilst the rest of the studio worked on H3

Re: The Internet Has Not Been Kind to Horizon Hunters Gathering

SlyASpiE

@StitchJones yeah my first thought was why not do it as an asset flip from the 2 mainline games, with PvE gameplay, surely it'd have been cheaper and quicker to make without putting off the existing fanbase who don't like the artwork tonal shift, it'd have been a better way to test the waters, instead I see this has already taken years, costing loads and losing fans especially if it's not going to be free to play

Re: God of War TV Series Has Found Its Atreus

SlyASpiE

I fail to see why that's a reason for Hollywood to cast away good stories and lore from established IPs, when it's that that's made the IP popular to point Hollywood has decided to "grace" its "wisdom" upon them

Re: Mega State of Play Confirmed for Thursday, Over 60 Mins of PS5 Announcements and Updates

SlyASpiE

@lazarus11 yeah he said the state of play trailer which is all just quick cuts, the game looks sweet, just hoping it runs OK on consoles. I'm pretty convinced it'll be fine on PS with the amount of footage they've released (even if its PC) and how open they've been, also they had demos of it at some of the cons at the end of last year I believe. Just be nice to see a little bit of uncut console gameplay, more than likely a day one purchase for me, might even pre order

Re: PS5's First State of Play of 2026 Tipped for Later This Week

SlyASpiE

Be interesting to see what Sony will offer up, hopefully there's gonna be few surprises, fingers crossed for some Crimson Desert gameplay on PS5/Pro, as it's out next month and most of the discourse is if it's actually going to run on consoles without them going nuclear or it being a stuttering mess.

Re: PS5's Ghost of Yotei Triggers Social Media, Ex-Sony Exec Says 'If You Don't Like It, Don't Buy It'

SlyASpiE

@DeepEyes agreed the "if you don't like it don't buy it" hasn't worked out very well for those saying it lately in games and films, as people take it as a challenge and say FU I won't lol, also the tweet does have it merits as the "girl boss" has been done to death lately especially in movies where they've unfortunately been incredibly shallow and poorly written. But judging by the characters in all of SP previous games i'm alright with this, they've shown they can write decent layered characters of all types, didn't hear people complaining about the ageing lesbian girl boss in the first ghost lol. I'm guessing because lady Masako was well written and relatable, with an engaging story and missions. I'm sure SP will do this protagonist justice explaining in a believable way why she's trained and on a revenge run. Personally I'm hyped, SP have never disappointed me going all the way back to Sly Cooper and GoT was goat in my eyes

Re: Ghost of Tsushima Patch 1.17 Out Now, Improves Multiplayer, Fixes a Few Bugs

SlyASpiE

@Flurpsel it's certainly strange choice to implement as the game world is gorgeous to behold when it's not constantly overcast. I've just finished what is essentially my second platinum run lost my save for first play through before game + came out so done it again and started game + surprised how much extra content was hidden behind new game + Sucker Punch really out did themselves with that update what with multiplayer as well, but I don't think I could do it a third time, the last island just drains my enthusiasm, be cracking on with online now as I can't afford Cyberpunk yet

Re: Ghost of Tsushima Patch 1.17 Out Now, Improves Multiplayer, Fixes a Few Bugs

SlyASpiE

@wiiware I never really noticed it even though I knew about it but I've just been playing it again for few hours after my reply to you and now I can't help but notice it lol 😂 although it's not so much thunder storms, but I am constantly in drizzly rain lol. So yeah it should of been implemented better like maybe after killing a lot more stealthily, or just not at all. Still I did giggle to myself about how dishonorable I must be lol but it's so much easier to smash the encampments by stabbing fools in the back or with a bit of death from above.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima Patch 1.17 Out Now, Improves Multiplayer, Fixes a Few Bugs

SlyASpiE

@Kidfunkadelic83 Yeah don't think the 3rd island being a lot more blander to look at then the first 2 helps, with just snow everywhere I felt like I rushed through to get to the end not long after getting there, unlike the others where I took my time more, mainly because there was always gorgeous vista or horrifying war crime round every corner. It'd of been nice if there was a bit more daily life happening, especially in the larger settlements but I suppose as it's during an invasion the devs hands were tied. A few mini games would of helped as well.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima Patch 1.17 Out Now, Improves Multiplayer, Fixes a Few Bugs

SlyASpiE

@wiiware To be honest you can hardly notice it changes the weather, maybe if you go through a camp stealth killing but even then I hardly notice, also a quick left swipe on touchpad and its gone. The weather changes fairly often anyway and is quite subtle, the quickness of the day/night cycle I found was more distracting like the dawn and dusk is only a few seconds spoiling so beautiful sunsets and raises.
