@Fiendish-Beaver Just imagine if Sony made a game called let's say "Concord" and industry reports estimated the development cost of Concord to be between $200 million and $400 million, then the game flops so bad it is recalled and scapped, now imagine this causes Sony to also scrap several more of this type of game despite being well into development.
Going by your doomsday scenario for Gears I would say you would think my imaginary Concord game would end Sony.

There was no way they would go full multiformat with a new console on the way.
I can not see any scenario where they would not release First Party exclusives for Helix on release day
