Have you noticed that through the PS Store on PS4 that the descriptions of the PS3/Vita games states that you can keep the games forever and doesn't mention that you need to be a PS+ member? On the other hand, the descriptions for the PS4 games states otherwise. Maybe Sony is uplifting the rule that you have to be a PS+ member to access PS3/Vita but not PS4 games? It also says under Information for the titles that they have no expiration dates. Think this is pretty news worthy if it's true that is.
Don't really care because I got the code for free and I have tons of other games to play. But just seeing problem after problem about PSN is really bothering me. I guess soon it will just become too much and people will start to not even care anymore and accept these problems.
@ztpayne7 Mario Kart online supports 12 players, while Smash supports 4 player online. Mario Kart is already the test and it works wonderfully.
I also didn't realize that Pokémon Bank is a game? Also, we're talking about online on the home consoles.
I agree that Cross-Buy is needed on Nintendo's consoles but that's irrelevant to this subject. We're talking about the online infrastructure, not the accessibility to your games.
I've also noticed that three other people have the same thoughts as me and you're the single one out of five people to say that Sony's online is better than Nintendo's. I mean, it's pretty obvious that Sony's online is worse than Nintendo's, I've had more problems with Sony than with Nintendo and so does other people. You have to realize that.
Already submitted my account to them, really hope I can participate in this beta. Got my Alpha code for Evolve today and will be playing it this weekend. Would be nice to play The Crew next weekend as well.
It would make sense to release a collection of the past games before releasing the fourth game, just look at the Master Chief Collection.
Personally I already own all three games on PS3 but this would be great for people who haven't played the Uncharted games yet, because most of the PS4 user base come from Nintendo or Microsoft who have owned Wii or 360 but not PS3. So this would make perfect sense to get them to play the first three games before playing the fourth one.
@ztpayne7 At least their online is not down every 2-3 days in the week, it's free and for the games that utilize it, it works flawlessly. So yeah, their online is pretty much better than on Playstation.
I've been a PS user since the end of 2012 (basically two years) and all I've seen is Sony (or in this case SCEE) go downhill. There's always something bad happening with Playstation now, whether it's DriveClub PS+ getting delayed, PSN constantly being down, worse PS+ game line up for every month, glitches/bugs/freezes with the consoles or games just not being released at their supposed time. The only thing that keeps me here are their games, without them they're nothing. I could get better services from Microsoft or even Nintendo.
Seeing as how well the Playstation division is doing and there isn't really any strong competition from either Nintendo nor Microsoft, it really seems that Sony will continue to not care about making their consoles better. :/
I know by the way that this isn't really relevant to this article but I just wanted to get this off my chest.
@ZeD That was my thought as well. Maybe they have started to finally listen to the fans and tried one final time to see if the next month's offerings will satisfy them. But they probably saw immediately on the line-up video how long the dislike-bar was as well as the negative comments that it was a bad idea. So maybe they have a Plan B or something?
I've noticed that the video with the North American line-up has gone private and there is still no PS Blog announcement from NA nor EU yet. What's going on?
Like I've probably stated before, I don't have anything against indie games AS LONG AS there are AAA-titles on offer as well. Now there are none, so I do have something against them. I also already own 1/3 of the offerings, so there's that (not Sony's fault but it kinda sucks anyways..)
Although Binding of Isaac looks pretty neat, will have to keep an eye out for that.
Enjoying the update so far, although when I try to upload something to Youtube I get an error message. I'm guessing lots of people are trying to upload at the same time or something..
Haven't tried out SharePlay yet, so I'm looking forward to do that later with some friends.
Yeah, those two sentences didn't really make a whole lot of sense. ;P
Really bummed though that Sunset Overdrive didn't come out for the PS4. It would literally be the best exclusive PS4 game to play this holiday season, at least in my opinion.
Really looking forward to using this function on PS4. One of many reasons for why I bought mine. I am really excited now, this opens up so many possibilites for me and my friends to share and play our games.
Just wondering, is Share Play literally local co-op but you can access it through internet? Does this mean basically that you can play with other people as long as Share Play is on while you're playing the local multiplayer mode and not the online multiplayer mode of the game?
I literally bought PS+ for this month just because I wanted to play this and Arkham Asylum. Really hope they release that version before October has ended.
Probably will be buying Sonic Adventure 1 and the DLC for it as well as the DLC for the 2nd game and Sonic CD as well. Is NFS Most Wanted any good for that price?
Well, the Vita version still being developed isn't actually surprising seeing as how Microsoft doesn't have a direct competitor on the portable market. They did the same thing when they acquired Rare, which was still allowing them to develop for Nintendo's handheld devices (even games such as Viva Pinata on the DS). But still weird about the PS3 and PS4 versions. Perhaps that is why the PS4 version was rushed out before the Vita version?
In my honest opinion, I think that every game should be played thoroughly and if possible, be completed before an opinion can be taken with any credibility. It doesn't matter if you've played the beta, played half of the game or go as low as to say "this doesn't LOOK good", you need to experience it all because your opinion may change during the way. I will never ever believe in rushed reviews like the aforementioned one for a second.
I only used Remote Play for Second Son, the Destiny Beta and Knack when I got my PS4 a month ago and it really sucked. It kept lagging and disconnecting me from the games multiple times over. From that point, I stopped using it.
Was gonna give this a go but seeing as how the game isn't even available in multiple countries in Europe, that's not gonna be the case. Looked really fun IMO, but all its issues that it has, the overpricing of the game as well as the non-availability makes the game a no-go for me. :/
This is the best line-up I've seen in a while, no joke. Looking most forward to Velocity 2X and Sportsfriends. Already have PS All-Stars but I'm more thrilled that I'll have a digital copy of it on my PS3 for easier access and play sessions. TxK, Hoard and Joe Danger look like nice bonuses.
Hating people because they're popular since Justin Bieber. Just like ^this guy, most people don't have a reason for why they hate on popular guys. I myself respect guys like Pewds because of his influence on other people.
Maybe it's too far fetched but it would be really cool if they would start giving away AAA-games next month for PS4, seeing as how DriveClub PS+ Edition will come out the month after. Killzone Shadow Fall as an example would be great IMO.
Either way, I really wouldn't like them to give away games that were on sale on PS4 this month.
Well, my speculation would be that they added additional sidequests for the new characters that are in the new space of the re-designed worlds. Or maybe even new sections between the worlds of the original game. Either way, I'm really hoping that they've made the game longer because of this.
The news about this game just keep getting better and better. The original game already had around 10 hours of content (according to HLTB) so the new game will possibly have at least 20 hours of content, which sounds really good in my ears if that's the case.
Just started playing some Pokémon Mystery Dungeon on the 3DS. Also going to play Crysis 3 on PS3, Motocross Madness on 360, Lego Harry Potter on Vita as well as Fez, Knack and Guacamelee on PS4. Going to be a fun weekend.
A lot of these games are really appealing, but I think I have to go with Tearaway. Earlier this summer, I decided to buy a new Vita game and had to decide between the new Killzone game or Tearaway and I fortunately decided to go with Killzone. I played the Tearaway demo on the Vita and it wasn't as good as I imagined it to be. But the PS4 version really looks better in terms of controls and hardware, so I'm really glad I waited to play this game.
The Share Play feature could initially work with people that have received early copies of games or even with people who have access to closed betas and what not. Basically games not everyone has access to at a certain time. This could also work with games that is not even available in your region. I wonder if Sony has thought of this.
I am not surprised by this at all. Sony must be really busy pushing out lots of forthcoming titles for the PS4. Just look at last-gen. PS3 had so many new IPs as well as sequels for the established franchises during its entire lifetime. This is the reason for why I bought a PS4, because in the long-run, it will be the console with the most exclusives as per tradition.
@get2sammyb Ah, yes, I've heard about that game and coincidentally it is on sale right now, so maybe I'll check that out as my first horror title. Thanks for the tip.
Played the demo directly after Sony's press conference and I've got to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Even though I'm not too fond of horror games, this one hit the spot for me for some reason. Maybe I'll take some time and play more horror games to see myself getting into the genre. If that works, then I'll probably keep an eye out on this game.
I think I rather wait and play the PS+ Edition first, seeing as how I'm already a PS+ member and I'd rather try out the game first before considering buying the whole package.
@get2sammyb Sounds like a reasonable price to me. I've actually started to take a liking for the Lego games now after playing through Batman 2 on the Vita from PS+ and trying out the demos for the games on PS4. But it seems Movie Videogame isn't as open-world as Marvel Superheroes, which is a shame. :/
Really hoping that there will be discounts on Trials Fusion, Transistor, Entwined and a couple of others. I just don't want Sony to give like 10 or 20% discounts on these games, it wouldn't be worth it buying them then IMO.

Re: Feature: What Are October 2014's Free PlayStation Plus Games?
@fchinaski Yes it has, I bought the PS3 version in the beginning of 2014 (or late 2013) and I could instantly download the Vita version.
Probably will only get Arkham Asylum and DriveClub, the rest I either already have or don't interest me.
