@MarcG420 I agree Xbox should have been delayed but Sony needed to reveal what the Backwards compatibility was going to be like. Only about one month before release did Sony talk about offline play and what the scope of BC was truly going to be. Xbox was talking about both months before Sony did (Although recently Xbox has been going through the ringer due to how many hoops you have to jump through to play offline) The game storage was a huge problem since at the time the only way to play new Ps5 games was to delete existing games on the pathetically small SSD. For the longest time I only could have like 4 games on it. 7 Didn't feel like a small subset of gamers. I understand others like EA are also having $70 MSRP but most companies have refrained from doing so. Bend Studio wanted to make a Resistance sequel, Sony declined. They wanted to make a Days gone 2, Sony declined. Sony made them work on a remake (can't remember if it was Uncharted or Last of us) Until they finally got Sony to let them move on to a original IP.
@MarcG420 While I can see some aspects of what you are saying, I have to disagree with some of what you are saying. I also didn't say I wanted the system with everything I wanted as soon as possible. I would appreciate if you didn't put words in my mouth. 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9 are the ones I strongly disagree with you on. It's not giving out sensitive information to give crucial need to know details like, can it play offline? The system should have been delayed a year so that it could launch with the crucial features. one of which is storing a ps5 game on a external hard drive. That was something many owners were getting furious about. Number 7 was pretty self explanatory and is for the most part universally criticized by most gamers. Sure they're allowed to set the cost of their own games but when most everyone else doesn't follow suit, it doesn't work. And with number 9 Bend studios would strongly disagree with you.
@twitchtvpat It's more of a game preservation aspect. I would concurred that the stores probably didn't see a lot of traffic but after they were threaten traffic did increase due to people fearful that rare games would become impossible to get after the closure.
@MarcG420 Someone asked me why I thought something and I answered. Almost all of the things I mentioned I found from sites like push square and others like the vita dev kits debacle.
@4kgk2 I can easily explain why Sony is currently being mismanaged.
Example 1: Sony's heavy push to games as a service (Only few IPs have ever been successful) Example 2: Selling expensive vita dev kits to Indy developers and announcing a few months later No new Vita games would be accepted. Example 3: Their studio purchases have been games as a service and infrastructure focused. Not "producing more projects" to combat the coming Xbox wave of titles. Example 4: Creating a emulator locked behind a subscription is incredibly anti-consumer Example 5: For a few years now, they will not talk about simple need to know information of upcoming products until the very last minute ie back in 2020, "Will the Ps5 play offline" Example 6: releasing the Ps5 in a non ready state like missing features such as the ability to store ps5 games on a standard external hard drive. Example 7: their obsession of heavily censoring games produced independently or outside the west but allowing western games (especially in house games) to be as graphic as they want. Example 8: they shift to make games $70 instead of the standard $60 Example 9: Not letting their studios pursue the projects they want (look into Bend studios) Example 10: Their lack of interest in preserving games like attempting to close the Ps3 and vita stores down. This one has been hinted at changing with new employees suggested in being focused on game preservation so I placed it last. Sorry for the long winded response.
Hey here's a crazy idea, How bout a ghost recon game...That doesn't require a constant internet connection to fight A.I. Controlled bots. that might have been the problem with breakpoint right there.
While not as bad at the initial trailer (Nothing will ever be as bad and cringe as that first trailer) this still looks like a cheap knockoff compared to the Paul W.S. Anderson movies. And that's sad that those feel superior to this.

And the SSD is pathetically small. You can try to make excuses as long as you want, with the growing size of games that SSD is not big enough. You must be running a bunch of indy titles to reach 15 games.

Oh gee now that they sold off a huge chunk of the good properties. Why does it feel like Sony is being mismanaged lately.
Re: Rumour: A New Ghost Recon Game That Isn't Frontline Is in Development
No online only requirement for a game that has you fighting against A.I. controlled bots. PERIOD!

Re: The Universe Is the Limit for PS5, PS4 Survival Game No Man's Sky
I've read that every time Hello Games releases a update for the game, they see a spike in sales for the game.
Re: Play Ghost Recon: Breakpoint for Free This Weekend
Only reason why I haven't bought this game is due to the useless, forced online requirement.

Re: Spider-Man Finally Swings to Marvel's Avengers on 30th November
About damn time you can earn cosmetics in game. I don't mind paying for costumes but $20 is outrageous for a exotic.
Re: The Uncharted Movie Trailer Is Finally Here
I like the humor. Just some of the casting doesn't feel...Perfect. After that Nathan Fillion short it's kinda hard accepting this new cast.
Re: PS4 Exclusive God of War Releasing on PC in January
Only reason why I'm looking forward to this is to see all the youtube videos of crazy mods people are going to make for this.
Re: Ghost Recon Frontline Announced, Is a Free-to-Play, Massive Multiplayer Shooter for PS5, PS4
Remember when Tom Clancy games were single player offline type of games...RIP Tom Clancy games.
Re: Here's Your Very First Look at The Last of Us HBO Series
I want to get hyped for this but I still can't forgive what Naughty Dog did last year to YouTube Content Creators.
Re: Sony Has a Long List of 'Interesting, Exciting, Fantastic Ideas' for Future PS5 Firmware Updates
What I want most is For "Performance and Stability to be improved" Because let's face it we don't get that enough. LOL.
Re: Talking Point: What September 2021 PS Plus Games Do You Want for PS5, PS4?
Just something better than what we got in August. I didn't download any of those.
Re: PS Plus August 2021 PS5, PS4 Games Announced
Not interested in any of these. You can do better Sony.
Re: PS5's Abandoned App Pre-Loads This Week, So Here's a Man with an Eyepatch
How awesome would it be if this was a crazy reboot of Metal Gear Solid? Still won't be mad if it's not either Silent Hill or MGS.
Re: Ubisoft Announces Tom Clancy's XDefiant, 6v6 Free-to-Play Arena Shooter for PS5, PS4
Ubisoft: Let's do every stupid idea we can think of with the Tom Clancy name...Except Splinter Cell.
Re: Talking Point: Was Sony's Latest State of Play Livestream Any Good?
Does anyone know if Death Stranding is going to be a free Ps5 update, Will it offer a Ps4 to Ps5 update purchase option?
Re: Lost Soul Aside Returns with 17 Minutes of Gameplay Action
I've been waiting for this for a while and am more excited about this than Returnal or Ratchet & Clank.
Re: Jim Ryan: PS5 Generation Will Have More Exclusive Games 'Than Ever Before'
I'll believe it when I see it. Y'all remember the xbox one and how they claimed the same thing back in 2013...
