Well over a year since the game launched, Crystal Dynamics has confirmed PlayStation exclusive character Spider-Man will finally be added to Marvel's Avengers on 30th November 2021. The web-slinger will arrive as part of a Hero Event alongside lots of other content, including a new raid, skins, and challenges.
You'll get to play as Spider-Man through "unlockable challenges woven throughout the Avengers Initiative", the Square Enix blog post claims. "Peter Parker uncovers AIM’s new plan to acquire technology that could make their Synthoid army unstoppable and total domination inevitable. He must partner with the Avengers to stop this looming threat, and forms a tentative friendship with Ms. Marvel and Black Widow while keeping his identity hidden." The publisher hasn't shared any images of what the wall-crawler actually looks like in-game just yet; the above is taken from Marvel's Spider-Man.
Alongside Spider-Man, Crystal Dynamics will deploy a large content update on the same day. This will include raising the level cap from 150 to 175, a new gear upgrading system, and Shipments. The latter allows you to earn sought-after cosmetics by spending the game's base currency (not premium).
However, the biggest addition is the new Klaw raid. "Following the events of the War for Wakanda Expansion, the sonic monster Klaw has returned to the Vibranium Mound with a seething determination to destroy Wakanda. This is where you finish him off for good and claim the highest-end gear—but he’s so not going down without a fight."
So, there you have it. Spider-Man will finally be coming to Marvel's Avengers on 30th November 2021 along with all this other content. Will you be jumping back in to play as him? Let us know in the comments below.
