@Balosi all GameStop’s in my area have brand new move controllers in stock, and cameras too. If you want to build your PSVR system ala cart, there’s plenty of components ready to be bought.
“I gave up on my vr a couple of years ago. The messy cables, the heavy helmet, the camera/space limitations, the low resolution etc were game breakings. Although, i recognise it was a great, affordable effort from Sony with a true, groundbreaking virtual reality feeling but unfortunately the.. reality was stronger with this one. Possibly i'll make one last try to experience the Paper Beast and then wait for the 3rd generation which i hope will solve most of the problems.”
Yep, PS5 VR should be your cup of tea. Will resolve most of these issues and give a much better VR experience.
Many reasons for Vita failure. PS4 success being a factor also. The high cost of the cards did not help. In today’s market the Switch is pretty much the perfect system for portable play. Sony was wise to leave, I would not recommend going against the Switch in today’s market.
The best thing to do is dedicate a PS4 for VR use and leave the cables installed. You’ll have real problems if you keep pulling them out and putting them back in all the time.
True, PS5 VR has fixed all that but why wait? You can get a used PS4 pretty cheap and trade it all in when PS5 VR comes out.
I too am looking fwd to this game. For PS5, I doubt beyond load times you’d see anything. But that’s going to be true for many other FMV games as well.
The good news is it’s cheap now. I mean $24.95 type cheap. I’ve even seen sales of the collector edition with a toy for $29.95. So if you loved the original, it’s a pretty cheap upgrade now.
Sounds to me like PSVR is going the way of the PSVITA. Too bad, for 2016 it’s a great piece of kit. They really need to upgrade the system big time. It’s got some of the best VR games, so like the VITA it’s worth getting if you don’t have it. Maybe 5 million headsets and 100 million games was not good enough. I’m not sold on the PS5 - lack of a remote play PlayStation handheld and a VR headset are deal breakers for me. Also, Sony censoring games it not too cool also. It’s pissing off many customers who like Japanese games. If the PS5 is the success the PS4 was I will be amazed.
If you can find a PS4 Pro used cheap go for it. It will have more storage than the PS5 has right now. Then, when Sony has PS5s in stock with more storage you can trade it in for one.
The VITA was great. Remote play to your PS4 was amazing, best devise for that. The PS4 maybe PlayStation’s finest platform due to it Being a system that included remote play on the VITA and PSVR.
Hopefully the PS5 will be similar before too long, or it’s sales may never catch the Switch.
It’s my favorite JRPG on the PS4. I can’t recommend it highly enough. For me, it’s up there with Persona 4 Golden. This game commands high prices and has a cult following. Battles get you physical items to use, and your characters gain levels thru social interaction, it actually works quite well.

Re: The Quarry Looks Like a Proper Until Dawn Successor in 30 Minutes of Gameplay
Looks great, loved Until Dawn.
Re: PSVR2: All Confirmed Games
It’s a start. Need more games.
Re: Here's Your First Look at PS5's PSVR2 Headset, Which Is Lighter and Slimmer Than Original
Gunna sell like crazy.
Re: Poll: We Want You to Rate Your Favourite PS Vita Games
I rated all the games I own. And yes, Persona 4 Golden is pure love.
Glad to see the VITA getting love today.
Re: Nothing to Announce on PSVR2 Backwards Compatibility, Says Sony
PSVR being usable on a PS5 is good enough. I’d personally keep a PS4 setup for old VR games and go with the new stuff on PS5.
We will be seeing lots of old PSVR systems and games selling cheap used eventually.
Re: Soapbox: Sony's Bet on PSVR2 Is Brave and That's a Brilliant Thing
I love my current PSVR system, play it all the time. This will be even better. Bravo.
VR isn’t for everyone, but it is for me. PSVR didn’t hurt the PS4 and PSVR2 won’t hurt the PS5.
Re: Soapbox: PS5's Next-Gen PSVR Headset Is Going to Drop Jaws in 2022
Loved PSVR. Well worth the cost. Still playing it today. Lots of great games and compared to PCVR, easy setup.
Both in 2016 and still love it to death.

Re: Video: The State of PlayStation VR in 2021
@Milktastrophe
It’s simple, Iron Man bundle or any bundle that includes the move controllers. Sony releases a lot of bundles for all of its systems, not just VR.
Re: Blue Reflection
The second one is very highly rated.
Re: Sony's PS Vita Trademark Partially Revoked in Europe Because It Isn't Being Used
A great system in its day, I play Persona 4 Golden all the time.
Re: Life Is Strange: True Colors (PS5) - Lame Story Saved by Great Characters
It’s in the 82- 85 range in metacritic with many reviews in the 90 - 100 range. Glad I read more than one review. This review seems off.
Re: Interview: Earth Defense Force: World Brothers Producer on Art Style, Gameplay Changes, and the Series' Future
Cheap fun in the past. Don’t care for the artwork at all on this release.
Re: Soapbox: I'm Beyond Excited for PS5's Next-Gen PSVR
It’s gunna rock, a must buy for me....
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Resident Evil Village?
No VR, no buy. It’s that simple.

Re: Poll: Is PlayStation Losing Ground to Xbox?
I’m on board because of PSVR. The real challenge for Sony is the Switch which is headed to sell way better than both Sony and Xbox.

Re: Sony Delighted by Reaction to Next-Gen PSVR Headset Announcement
Lots of questions, we will get answers soon. Maybe on the new system it will be a stand alone that can be hooked up to the PS5.
Re: Sony Confirms Next Generation PlayStation VR Is in the Works for PS5
I’m shocked - in a good way. Can’t wait. I’m so down with this.
