I remember years ago I had to buy v bucks for my nephew for Christmas because that's all he wanted. He spent them in a matter of seconds on the first things he saw in the store, on Christmas skins he didn't practically like because kids have no concept of waiting and saving money.

I feel like any game that was released in the first half of the year is going to be snubbed in the GOTY category.

Surly there cant still be people over there who believe that tariffs aren't the reason prices have gone up on almost everything.

Just a small FYI this isn't just a UK law, its being implemented throughout most of Europe.

People would be complaining regardless if she had hair or not. They're doing the same with Cire from Witcher 4. Its all to do with these weirdos complaining that the characters aren't reaching their beauty standards.

Also the indie category is kind irrelevant when one of the nominees is also nominated for best game.

I know a lot of people say Silent Hill 2 should be instead of erdtree but i really thought Helldivers 2 would have been on there.

If it stays at that price then its more than likely a short game.

Didnt they remove Far cry 5 from PS extra just a couple of months ago?

To be fair, remember when the biggest complaint against PlayStation was that they "didn't have any multiplayer games".

So they've now gone and made some but during that time people have decided that they actually don't like all these Mulitiplayer games anymore. The moment "game as a service" is mentioned, you have people who will automatically dislike the game and hope it fails before even seeing it.

Obviously they're going to try and somehow make this free to play. I also imagine the cinematics arnt going to happen.

The bigger problem is that a lot of people also hated the way the characters looked and i don't see how they are going to change that without re-doing the whole game.

It just seems like such a pointless remake because the original is still playable, cheap to buy and looks good.
I know they're doing it to tie in with the film they are making, but haven't they only just started filming that? Its a long way off to start generating hype.

I will probably end up getting it at some point down the line but It still gives me VR game vibes for some reason. There's an emptiness to it.

These should have really been released ages ago, like, way before the beta. Overwatch showed that if cinematics are done well they can help add hype for a game.

But i think they've left it too late.

I think marketing wise they've done a lot wrong because if your not following PlayStation news/blogs, all people have really got was one cinematic trailer with a little bit of a gameplay montage during one single PlayStation showcase.

If they wanted people to latch on to the characters and lore then they should have followed what overwatch did by posting cinematics in the lead up, like they did with their widowmaker vs tracer, and Winston vs Reaper ones.

They needed to show more people playing the gameplay modes before the beta launched, instead of having one hands on preview for people to only write about it.

Plus a beta that was originally only for people who had already pre ordered it is never a good move.

I love the Dragon age games, but its been so long now that i have no clue what the hell happened in the last game.

I was kind of hoping all the games would have been remastered before this new one was released.

Concord was good to see at the beginning, and I liked Astro bot at the end. The middle...meh.

Its the right thing for them to do but they will probably have to raise the price of game pass as a result and will more than likely end up just making it more beneficial for players to just buy it than paying for it monthly on game pass.

The fact this game hadn't even been green lit yet is crazy to me, I've been assuming its a game close to being released for a while now.

I feel like they shown the whole game at this point. I can wait till the end of the month now.

Expected sometimes before march 2025 will probably mean it will be released September 2025.

@MrMagic They used to be during the 360/early XBOX one days, but I don't think they've been the second biggest market for a while now. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that its now Mexico.

Wait, all the episodes released at once?, i thought peacock usually releases things weekly. I might actually check it out if i can binge it all.

I think people seem to assume there will be another big showcase at some point this year but i can really just see them doing a couple of state of plays instead.

I get the impression Sony prefers doing those instead of the big e3 style ones.

I cant help but feel like Sony should have told us not to expect certain games when they originally announced the showcase.

I know a lot of people think it will be shown at SGF (and I hope so too) but i have doubts because surely this would be a game you'd want to show during you own showcase.

Its the year 2023, why are we still releasing cinematic trailers for multiple player games, especially shooters. They tell us nothing, they never hype, they're non announcements.

The problem with this game in particular is that already people think negatively about it due them thinking it looks like any old ubisoft game and others are saying it just looks like that upcoming live service game "The Finals"

All Sony did by showing that cinematic trailer is make this game harder to market for themselves.

I still dont understand what playstation first party has planned to release after Spiderman 2. When will we even find out?

It makes me wonder if they plan on doing another showcase this year, or do we really have to wait till this time next year?

It is 2023 they should know by now that a cinematic trailer for a multiplayer shooter game is completely pointless.

I also dont know why i've always assumed Haven was working on some open world live service game.

I cant help but think that Sony didnt want to do a conference, they just wanted to do a state of play for Spiderman 2 but they felt they needed to make it a "showcase" just because summer games fest and the xbox conference is happening soon.
So they put a bunch of random games together.

The fact they just randomly put this in the middle of the conference has me a little concerned.

Hope they got merged somewhere else and they didnt all lose their jobs.

My only guess is that Sony wasnt happy with their progress on whatever they where working on and we were probably going to get a redfall 2.0 if they released it anytime soon.

What may help it is that it seems like a lot of the FPS game audience are tired of whatever ever game it is they are playing (well the streamers anyway) so they will be more willing to gravitate to something else.

I always find these kind of live service games success relies on whether streamers get behind it.

It probably has to do with the reaction it got during the showcase, the take away was that it didn't look as good as the original trailer.
So they probably went back to the drawing board for certain things.
Didnt they also have to spend time changing some of the characters due to backlash?

My problem with Dreams is that media molecule is still the only ones who's managed to make a really good game out of it.

Yes Ive seen amazing sculptures, short little walking sims and the odd indie-esqe puzzle game early in Dreams life cycle but no one seems close to making anything massive, and now the install base is low.

Plus the floaty controls are a pain. Im still surprised there's not a ps5 version.

I always thought the weapons (and powers) where one of the weakest things about Deathloop. I rememeber finding a weapon i was comfortable with early on and never switching for the rest of the game because there was no reason to.

Its kinda weird not seeing a pig tail harley but i guess i appreciate them doing something different.

Saying that there are so many fun batman villians that havent been shown in games yet that i kinda wished they give harley a bit of a rest. This would have been a good game to have Cheshire make her gaming debut.

It was one of those conferences where in about an hours time i will remember, at most, 5 games that was shown.

The dialogue has been something a lot of people have found concerning for a while. Its always come across to me very Disney channel teen movie.

Even in that early gameplay trailer than people didnt like she wouldnt stop commenting on everything simialr to that trailer.

Multiplayer games or "long games" i will always buy digital but single player story games i always buy physical. Its cheaper and with the amount of games i play a year i cant afford to buy everything digitally and not have the option to resell.

I was hoping this was going to be a PS extra game. I also keep forgetting its not a multiplayer game

I never understand articles like this basically calling people wrong for either liking or disliking something which differs from their opinion.

Its released on the 16th..could that mean there's a chance it will be another PS extra game like Stray since new games will be added during the middle of each month?

Even though stray is the only game im interested in i will admit im surprised with the amount of games added. I thought they would only add around 4 or 5 a month similar to how PS now did things.

Im actually glad, you could tell this game was going to get lost if it was released in October.
Im also hoping they use this time to help show off the game better as i think a lot of people (myself included) are still a bit confused.

because of the amount of drama around the release date i thought there would be a state of play which told us the release date.
I thought there would be more fan fare, i wasnt just expecting a trailer on a random wednesday lol

I find it kinda insane the amount of people on twitter who are getting really aggressive towards the devs all over wanting a release date on a game.

The blog said no ps plus would be needed but this morning it was asking me to buy it. Apparently this is a bug. i did manage to get online but it couldnt match make me, now i just keep getting error failed to login messages.
I dont think the launch has gone too smoothly.

I don't know about anyone else but Jeff grub and reliable are not words I associate with each together.
