I'd like to use Power Saving mode to extend the lifespan of my PS5 as much as possible. I'm not too concerned about FPS or resolution. (A bit of OCD)

I have Ghost of Yotei and Power Saving mode enabled, but I don't see the game listed, nor do I see the logo indicating it's supported. Both the game and my console are fully updated. Any ideas?

Maybe I’ve misunderstood a lot of what’s happening, and I truly wish I could see things from your perspective. Your optimism is refreshing, and it reminds me that there’s still room for different viewpoints in this industry.

I’m really worried about the future of gaming. PlayStation is focusing on GaaS and releasing its games on PC and on the competence. Nintendo has anti-consumer policies and key cards. Xbox has high prices, virtually no support for physical media, and is releasing games on PlayStation. Steam seems to be the lifesaver... but it sells licenses. GOG doesn’t offer every game.

Every developer seems to have their own agenda and politics, with little innovation.

It may just be me, but I feel like we’re at the end of an era. I hope I’m wrong.

It’s good that we have things like Clair Obscure and Silksong, but besides that, I’m mainly playing PS4 games and older titles.

Maybe I’m just getting old, and this industry isn’t for me anymore. This is just my personal opinion — I understand that others may enjoy these new directions, but personally, I feel a bit disconnected from what’s happening in the industry.

@bizzysgs Totally agree with you, and furthermore, now they are releasing on xbox as well, like, why? Hell, I've always been a PS fan and I still am but nowadays i'm only because of the phisical support.

I also think that if xbox stopped realising its games on PS, PS would be in real troubles.

Hi @trev666, I thought that if you turned off all functions on sleep mode it would turn off instead.

I'm not sure if this is my cup of tea. I don't think a handheld would have a disc drive and my physical collection wouldn't work. Backward compatibility would be limited to digital.

if this is a success, i'd think that it's because ps4's performance. ps5's is a shame. If Xbox wouldn't have gone multiplatform, I think that Sony would be un trouble. I feel dissaponted with current sony's generation.

A State of Play of a single game? and about Borderlands? I don't get it...

This saga is not my cup of tea. I hadn't played any of the games, but I recently started GoW 3 on my 360... and I don't know.... I didn't like it. it's kinda repetitive and the personalities of every character seem the same.

As dumd as I am. I'd buy a collection if it has a physical relaese.

I didn't want sony to become a GaaS developer. I hope that this means that no more GaaS and more single player. it's a shame the wasted time but it's better for the mid-term future.

Happy to see Stellar Blade in such a high position, even higher than Black Myth: Wukong. Stellar is my personal GOTY and it's on my personal top 3 ever.

Astro bot wasn't for me, i didn't finish it. But I'm eager to play FFVII Rebirth since I loved Remake.

Stellar blade deserved more in the Game Awards. My personal Game of the Life.

I liked the awards, but it's a shame that stellar blade didn't get anything. It's my favourite game ever. Also, I would've prefered more prices to FFVIIR instead of Metafor, but I haven't played it yet yo be honest.

Last year I was only interested in Stellar blade and turned out that it was a great year at least for me... let's hope 2025 is as good as 2024 has been.

@get2sammyb Yeah. I've just voted and I notice that Stellar is nominee for best action game along with wukong. and best soundtrack along with ffvii... kinda difficult for Shift Up even though Stellar OST is amazing.

totally agree. Stellar blade is MY GOTY and my first and only platinum.

it's a shame for Stellar Blade and Silent Hill 2R, they would be a better option instead of Balatro en the DLC of elden ring... At least that's my opinion.
I'll vote for FFVII Rebirth. I like Astrobot but it was kinda boring

I've got FFVII but i haven't played it yet. but between Astro and Stellar. I stay 100% with stellar, it's my first platinum ever and even though I recon that Astro is a good game it isn't for me, it bored me, I haven't finished it.

I finished Spiderman though, and i found it very spectacular but far from be a GOTY.

They're out of their mind. 700/800 for a console without drive disc. Passing. What would ps6 cost? I think that Sony is pushing us to PC.

I almost regret that xbox is releasing their games on PS. I think that this is consequence of the lack of competitors.

What a year for being a PlayStation fan. FFVIIR, astrobot, and please please, do not forget about Stellar Blade.

I really prefer single player games with a good story. I don't like the way sony is doing. I think that it would be great to have an equilibrium for every type players.
