Re: Telltale's Game of Thrones Will Stay Seated for Six Episodes

Lionhart

@get2sammyb I've watched all the seasons of "Game of Thrones" thus far and it's been excellent minus having to skip unnecessary pornographic sex scenes that we really could have done without. If you're a fan of "Lord of the Rings" or "World of Warcraft" then I'd encourage you to watch "Game of Thrones". I was a bit disappointed that TellTale didn't tie-in with the show for their "Walking Dead" game I sure do like what they've crafted and I trust them to do a game job with this "Game of Thrones" entry. I hope that instead of being a standalone that it will more like be a bridge between the show and the books. Btw, @get2sammyb instead of watching sucky American shows like "Breaking Bad" or something crappy like "American Horror Story" try to watch some of the really good epic shows such as ABC's "Once Upon A Time", "Agents of SHIELD", FOX's "Gotham" or the CW's "Supernatural", "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Flash". Right now I'm catching up on Dragon Ball and Naruto Shippuden! I'm a big manga/comic book fan.

Re: Review: Child of Light (PlayStation Vita)

@N711, dude fess up! PS Vita is great! My PS Vita is my love affair. It's wonderful to see more game developers supporting the PS Vita. There are thousands of PS Vita gamers and we want the system to succeed!

Re: Sony: There Are 'Many, Many' First-Party PS Vita Games in Production

Lionhart

This is most certainly good news coming from Sony's biggest voice which is very reassuring. Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines, Murasaki Baby and Freedom Wars are definitely video games that I'm looking forward to putting inside my PS Vita and giving a go. I've got a feeling that we might even see a Jak and Daxter reboot on the PS Vita or maybe MediEvil.

Re: Sony: PS Vita Will Play Host to Fewer First-Party Releases in the Future

Lionhart

I’m so freaking sick of this! Sony MUST convince and encourage video game developers to put their games on the PS Vita and no I am not and will not support Remote Play nor PlayStation! Games must be developed specifically for consoles and handhelds. PS Now undercuts the potential for the PS Vita to receive first party and third party video games be their native or ports.

Sony’s big issue here is that they don’t even understand the problem. Nintendo has always been the king of games because they support both their home consoles and handheld consoles with a healthy dose of first party and third party offerings yearly while Sony is failing both the PS4 and PS Vita in terms of manufacturing first party quality games. Whereas the 3DS has a motherload of first party titles Sony needs to really support the PS Vita with first party development! AAA first and third party games are at the heart of the 3DS success and Sony needs to step away from indies and ensure that the PS Vita get’s more big boat titles. I love games like Killzone Mercenary, Gravity Rush and Persona4Golden on my Vita and I wanna see more good stuff come to PS Vita.

Re: Nintendo Thumps PlayStation in E3 2014 Twitter Head-to-Head

Lionhart

Sony didn't really dominate at E3 this year like they did last year. Microsoft stole the show at E3 with Fable Legends and that deliciously lighthearted Sunset Overdrive. Nintendo conquered E3 with the fantastic new Zelda WiiU trailer and they got sassy with Bayonetta 1 and 2 and then they presented catchy stuff like Fantasy Life 3DS and the innovative Splatoon. I'm not saying that Sony wasn't impressive but they didn't blow me out of the water either; Microsoft and Nintendo played their cards well. All Sony did was sell out on the PS Vita and praise Indie games yet again.

Re: E3 2014: How Does the PS Vita's Lineup Look?

Lionhart

I love my PS Vita system and I'm angry as heck at those who suggest the Vita needs to be "faded out". The PS Vita is not a terrible system at all and it needs to be given time to continue to grow. Seriously, there are already great titles on Vita such as Mind Zero, Killzone Mercenary, Demon Gaze, Guacamelee, Dragon's Crown, Muramasa, Assassin's Creed Liberation and Persona 4 Golden. The upcoming list of PS Vita games is impressive; Freedom Wars, MLB 14, Helldivers, Hyper Light Difter, Gravity Rush 2, Disgaea 4, Dragon Fin Soup, Shantae Half Genie Hero, Foul Play, Pavillion , Child of Light and Don't Starve are just a few of the examples of the awesome titles on the way to the PS Vita in 2014 and 2015. Stop hating on the PS Vita and stand behind it! Use the hashtag #NoVitaNoBuy on Twitter!

Re: Ubisoft Has Strived for Historical Accuracy with Valiant Hearts: The Great War

Lionhart

I'm certainly interested in this game. Today was the perfect choice for Ubisoft to shine the spotlight on "Valiant Hearts" because it was Memorial Day. World War I is truly a Historical conflict that both television/movie media and video games mostly ignore but it's nice to see Ubisoft casting a spotlight on it. I just pray that Ubisoft will release Valiant Hearts on the PS Vita as it would truly shine on the console's excellent OLED screen. I just hope the dog doesn't die because I've been crying after watching the trailer. So touching.

Re: Far Cry 4 Heads to the Himalayas on PS4, PS3 This November

Lionhart

I don't understand why some here are acting as if cross-platform is a bad thing. I think it is a win, win scenario for all involved. My sister and a lot of my friends refuse to upgrade to PS4 as they're satisfied with the PS3 and well I'm buying a PS4 this Black Friday. I haven't played any Far Cry titles but if what I see of FC4 at E3 impresses me then I'll buy it.

Re: By the Maker, Dragon Age: Inquisition's Box Art is Suitably Epic

Lionhart

Merciful GOODNESS! Okay, it's time to go reserve DA III as it will actually be my FIRST Dragon Age title ever! I really am a big LOTR/RPG fan and as I enjoyed Mass Effect 3 it seems the perfect time to sink my fingers into Dragon Age. I'm just undecided as to whether I'll pick it up on PS3 or PS4.

Re: Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Soars Straight Past PS4

Lionhart

@Restamadeus I agree with you man! I haven't bought a PS4 yet because I see no real urgency to own one just yet. I didn't upgrade from the PSP to the PS Vita until Black Friday of 2012. I am quite satisfied with the PS3 at the moment and all of my friends who own a PS4 quite regret making the purchase. I have been waiting for the PS4 to get a price drop and hopefully the removal of pay to play online. The reason I had always preferred PlayStation over XBOX was because of free to play online. Anyway, I plan to pick up a PS4 this Black Friday but it's good for developers to keep making exclusive games for the PS3 because there are many people who still own it and aren't ready to buy a PS4 yet.

Re: PS Vita Slim Ventures Stateside in Borderlands 2 Bundle

Lionhart

I love the PS Vita and it's such a blessing to see Sony finally pushing the PS Vita in America. It's also good to see that sales of the PS Vita are actually up in the USA. I'm certainly going to pick up Borderlands 2, Conception II, Demon Gaze and Borderlands 2 on the PS Vita and I'm going to buy this new bundle for my sister!

Re: Borderlands 2 Is the Purple Loot Your PS Vita Deserves

Lionhart

THIS IS THE STUFF! Y'all KNOW I am buying this. Playing Borderlands 2 on the PS3 this past week with my sister but HECK yeah I am buying this to play on my PS Vita. There is nothing better than carry around Borderlands in ya pocket. What I want even more is BioShock Infinite on the PS Vita.

Re: Child of Light Will Cast a Spell on PS4, PS3 on 30th April

Lionhart

I'm definitely going to pick this game up on the PS3. I'm still VERY annoyed that Child of Light isn't being released on the PS Vita but Ubisoft definitely has indicated following AC III Liberation that they will continue to support the PS Vita and so maybe later on down the road Child of Light will get a PS Vita release. The game certainly looks good which is why I'm surprised it's only $14.99! I sure do hope it has solid game play and good length; especially considering it is being developed by the Far Cry 3 team.

Re: Star Wars 1313's Creative Director Plots a Course for PS4

Lionhart

@charlesnarles, Apparently, you haven't been watching the third, fourth and fifth seasons of the epic and rather dark Star Wars The Clone Wars television series. The show had dynamic story telling, precise and in depth character development and solid progression and pacing. The show also delved into the EU (Star Wars Expanded Universe) and even gave nods toward the events of The Force Unleashed and the last five episodes of season five led straight into Star Wars 1313. Personally, I still grieve that SW TCW was abruptly cancelled by the Disney acquisition of Lucasfilm; however with Greig Weisman, Simon Kinberg and Dave Filoni all working together on the Star Wars Rebels television series development for Disney there is more than a light of hope at the end of the tunnel. There is also a chance that Star Wars 1313 could actually make a resurgence. I don't it's gone for good.

Re: Feature: Five Vita Games That Will Keep You Occupied on the Go in 2014

Lionhart

I'm a little shocked to see that Sony's God of War Collection and Dead Nation aren't on you guys list. Heck, God of War is perhaps the BEST Sony franchise after Ratchet and Clank and BEFORE Uncharted. My person favorite is "God of War: Ghost of Sparta" as that game is 100% solid.

Anyway, I'm definitely looking forward to Borderlands 2 and Gravity Rush 2. I'm hoping that if Gearbox Software releases Borderlands 3 it will automatically be released on the PS Vita from the launch.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This... Christmas?

Lionhart

@get2sammyb, awesomeness on the Santa Hedgehog!

Well my sister and I are going to begin our co-op play of Borderlands 2 thanks to PlayStation Plus. I seriously hope Gearbox Software unveils Borderlands 3 at E3 2014.

I just purchased Persona4Golden today and I got EA's Fuse as a Christmas gift for my sister. I hope to take some time aside to focus on Rainbow Moon and Uncharted Golden Abyss along with sipping nog as I play God of War Ghost of Sparta through again.

Re: Talking Point: Is PlayStation Plus Helping or Hindering the PS Vita?

Lionhart

I really enjoy my PS Vita and I do love PlayStation Plus. I don't think that PS Plus is a threat to the software sales for PS Vita. I purchase games that I want to own physically because I enjoy collecting video game cases. However, I also purchase lots of content from the PSN store. The notion that PS+ is danger to the PS Vita is totally null and void in my humble opinion.

I'm not saying that some people don't hold off on buying big titles in the hope of PS+ freebies however because sadly there are those who do. I bought Rainbow Moon and Persona 3 Portable earlier this month and later today I plan on buying Little Big Planet PS Vita and Killzone Mercenary if I can make it by GameStop.

Re: Get Your Groove On, Persona 4 Dancing All Night Is Coming to Vita in 2014

Lionhart

Gosh, the arguing! I'm just happy we're getting more Persona games. It wasn't like Persona was going to remain a PlayStation exclusive forever; Shin Megami Tensei has been on the Nintendo 3DS for a while already and so Persona Q isn't actually anything for people to cry over. The milk was spilled long ago. I'm buying a 3DS this Black Friday just for Persona Q Shadow of the Labyrinth. However, I'm pretty sure we're going to see more core Persona titles on the PS Vita in the future although I was aghast that Persona5 is a PS3 exclusive instead of releasing on both PS3 and PS Vita like Dragon's Crown. Heck, Vanillaware and Atlus won't forsake the PS Vita.

Re: Tearaway Trailer Unfolds the Game's Community Features

Lionhart

If video game developers were to stand behind the Sony PS Vita and develop high quality console level games like Guerrilla Games, Naughty Dog and Ubisoft have done with blockbuster titles such as Killzone Mercenary, Uncharted Golden Abyss and Assassin's Creed Liberation then the PS Vita would really and truly shift thousands if not millions of units.

The PS Vita is a PS3 level handheld console as has been evidenced by titles like Killzone Mercenary and Assassin's Creed Liberation but the lack of developers is the main reason the PS Vita is facing an uphill battle. Furthermore, Sony PlayStation itself has been focused on so called "Indie Games" instead of delivering triple AAA titles. Ratchet and Clank Into The Nexus should be releasing on the PS Vita but instead it's a PS3 exclusive. Sony should have new God of War, MediEvil and Heavenly Sword titles set to deploy on the PS Vita and yet that isn't happening.

So many developers are launching the far less capable Nintendo 3DS but no one is willing to stand and deliver on the behalf of the PS Vita and this is a serious shame. However, things are not so bleak on the Vita's horizon because we do have Borderlands 2, Dead Nation, God of War the HD Collection, Injustice Gods Among Us and Tearaway on the way which definitely will help the PS Vita out.

Re: Rumour: Gears of War Creator Plotting Something Epic for PS4

Lionhart

Gears of War Judgement is the first "Gears" game that I've ever played and actually enjoyed. Epic Games truly has a gift and talent for developing quality multiplayer games. I just wish more of these video game developers would develop games on the PS Vita instead of keeping things a PS3 or PS4 exclusive.

Re: Review: Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (PlayStation 3)

Lionhart

I certainly can say that I genuinally enjoyed Assassin's Creed III. Personally, I have always been a Prince of Persia fan and Ubisoft's first entries in the Assassin's Creed saga never appealed to me. I didn't like AC I, II, Brotherhood nor Revelations and so I didn't purchase them although my sister did. AC III really drew me into the franchise; I believe that as I'm a deep American History enthusiast as key part of my fascination with the game and I'm also a big Pirates of the Caribbean fan which is another reason why I'm really happy with AC IV Black Flag. I'm going to pick up AC III Liberation for the PS Vita today!

Re: Exclusive: Luc Bernard's Reaper Drops Its Scythe on PlayStation Vita

Lionhart

@get2sammyb, Thanks Sam! It's nice seeing that we're getting a return to sidescroller RPG's in the video game industry. Vanillaware's Dragon's Crown, Ubisoft's Child of Light, Atlus's Code of Princess, Ubisoft Rayman Legends, Capcom's Strider and now Benard's Reaper are all such a nice and refreshing deviation from all the first person shooters we've been flooded with in the gaming market.

Re: Exclusive: Luc Bernard's Reaper Drops Its Scythe on PlayStation Vita

Lionhart

This seems like it has the potential to be a great game. I really like the colorful yet gothic Tim Burton environmental visuals and character design. I've never played a Luc Bernard game before but I certainly hope this game is excellent. I'm a little disappointed that you guys didn't discuss Trophies in the interview but I do hope the game will have them.
