Well, isn’t that just typical? Two weeks ago, this editor apologised for the infrequency of the ‘Out This Week’ feature, adding that it will be published every Monday from now on. Of course, then said scribe swanned off on holiday, forgetting to prepare an edition of our regular release date report before setting off. Still, with the batteries refreshed, we don’t foresee any issues with this particular series moving forwards, so let’s see if we can get a run together, shall we? Here are all of the heavy hitters due out on PlayStation over the course of the next seven or so days.
Pick of the Week: Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition
It may have a name long enough to send shivers down the spine of Push Square Towers, but Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition is a re-release that should very much be at the top of your shopping list. Already an outstanding Metroidvania-inspired adventure on the PlayStation 3 and Vita, this upgraded PlayStation 4 version is aiming to satiate your starving for spicy sidescrolling action all over again.
For those that didn’t play the original, this game is a lot like a good taco – it has a firm exterior, but also a tasty centre that’s made up of all of your favourite retro ingredients. Boasting new costumes, an additional boss, fresh powers, and a bevy of other bits-and-bobs, this threatens to be the definitive edition of luchador Juan’s jaunt through Mexico, too. One word of advice, though: don’t mention the World Cup – everyone’s still a little sore.

As a guy who owns a PS3 and PS Vita I'm all about supporting the PS Vita more than anything else! I'm buying both Guacamelee and Child of Light on the PS Vita!
Tempted to buy child of light but my backlog is still swelling.
I will get Guacamelee for my Xbone since it will be free with XBL.
Any news on Ratchet and Clank Vita releasing in NA?
Child of Light
Child of Light on Vita for me.
I want the R&C collection but I'm going to wait for reviews and impressions. Would hate to buy something as crappy as the Jak and Daxter collection.
None of the above
Haaaaaa long live the Vita
Im waiting for the usual Tuesday Store Update Sales!!!
@get2sammyb Do we know how much Guacamelee! STCE is? £7.50 or under I don't mind going through it again, especially with new stuff. Any more and I'll wait for the inevitable PS+ inclusion. Do we also know if owning the original gets you anything yet? Saw on the US PS blog that someone from Drinkbox said they were trying to get them discounts as a reward for buying it again.
@SecondServing I saw a video, and it runs VERY well. Get it.
Can some one please tell me why guacamelee isn't on my uk psn store as it is now the 2nd of July
