@Psnfanboy79 they suck at the game that’s all is to it. the game about to get pve soon so they won’t be any more excuses at that point because they will be able to play the game solo shooting bots.

Microsoft can’t afford to go back to making exclusives again. Microsoft spent 90 billion dollars on acquisitions they want return on they’re investment.

@For-Kier that’s not necessary true at all. I played a lot of Destiny myself besides Bungie signature gunplay feel, bungie had before destiny both games are nothing alike.

@wildcat_kickz I get that every game can’t be made for everyone and that’s perfectly fine. saros and Returnal are two Sony single players games that you lose almost all your progress when you get killed too. I look at Extraction shooters and rogue lite games in the same light.

@MasterChiefWiggum you don’t know how to play the game at all. You literally can upgrade your character skill tree to be able to buy all the good guns from the store with in game currency just collect the materials you need on the map. If you have a high level at the end of season you be able to get really great sponsor kits for the rest of the next season that give you some of the best guns.

@MasterChiefWiggum you must not be that great at marathon to say that which is fine. marathon is a great game Bungie just need to make it more noob friendly and add more modes and story content which they plan on doing.

Hopful Sony taking over Bungie can help get them back on the right track track with managing they’re teams better.

@AdamNovice exactly everybody just don’t play or want single player games. the best thing about the ps3 gen it had little bit of everything.

@DennisReynold Battlefield 6 marvel rivals and arc Raiders are not old games. like I said before Sony can’t just ignore the live service space it’s doesn’t make sense financially for them to. I think Sony should keep trying to create unique live service games and not just give up on games before they have an opportunity to take off. I put 150 hours into marathon it’s probably the best shooter I played in years. I’m glad Sony and Bungie isn’t giving up on the game even with the haters here and on twitter who didn’t even play the game.

Stop speaking for other people, most of you guys here don’t want any live service games because you not very skill at competitive games. live service games are still popular Sony do need few of they’re own because it won’t make financial sense to ignore live service space, especially when single player games are taking forever to make.

@IOI live service games are the most played games on PlayStation so Sony need a few live service games of they’re own.

Hell yes pc players can enjoy the live service games but the single player games is for PlayStation owners only as it should.

This is why normal multiplayer modes doesn’t work anymore and live service is best way for multiplayer.

This is why Sony ain’t giving up on live service games because most of the popular games on PlayStation are live service games.

@For-Kier I think Marathon has potential to grow if budgie add more casual pve and pvp modes. rainbow six siege was in the same position as Marathon and grow overtime through good updates.

I definitely think Sony overpaid for budgie I don’t think budgie overall wasn’t a bad purchase though. Budgie are a top tier multiplayer developer. I don’t think Sony need to give up on live service games, Sony just need learn from they’re mistakes and keep improve in the live service arena.

Microsoft still hasn’t made the money back from activision or Bethesda either. I think both Microsoft and Sony is playing the long game with these big purchases. I think destiny 3 which is in early development and a destiny movie is the big money maker.

@dskatter marathon is the best shooter I played in a while. I put over a 100 hours into it. If you played the game instead of playing steam charts you would know how good the game actually is.

You can’t blame marathon from Sony overpaying from Bungie. Sony themselves said they invested into Bungie for the long term. Sony wasn’t never expecting to make the money back from Bungie short term especially off of marathon an extraction shooter which kind of niche sub genre.

People here play stream chart not games. marathon is a great game with a dedicated small hardcore playerbase. I do think Bungie needs to make the game appeal more to a casual audience to grow the game online playbase. I think a pve only mode with a story and beginner lobbies will help the game out a lot.

Sony can’t or shouldn’t give up on the live service market yet because there still a lot of money to be made in the live service market. I don’t understand why Sony doesn’t have some sort of single player mode in some of these live service games. marathon could have had a 5 hour single campaign that teach you have to play the game with cool cutscenes.

I have to play less marathon once this game come out.

I will give it a try especially if it’s free to play. people trashing the crap out of marathon when I’m enjoying the crap out of it enough that I put 60 plus hours into the game and 3 trophies away from the platinum.

@AdamNovice Tekken more popular in some parts of Europe than street fighter, In the states we prefer street fighter and mortal kombat over tekken.

It’s was pretty funny this site putting this game over sf6 on it’s fighting game list . tekken 8 has been losing players meanwhile sf6 has record breaking evo Japan numbers this year.

@Ambassador_Kong bro marathon was never gonna be really big it’s a hardcore extraction shooter causals was never gonna play it as long it keep a decent amount of players the game will be fine. Bungie was brought for destiny not marathon destiny 3 and a destiny movie will make Sony a lot of money.

@AdamNovice it’s funny marathon is actually a really great game just a little sweaty but I’m enjoying it with crossplay off.

I might have to take a short break from marathon once saros come out.

I don’t see the ps6 coming out next year I think 2028-2029 will probably be the best time to release it when the world economy is in a better condition then it is now

The ps6 need to be delayed if it already isn’t delayed or it will fail at $1000+ price.

No way a ps6 releasing next year who will be able to afford one.
