I have a feeling a ton of people crying for backwards compatibility would not even use it.
They have a problem with cross gen games, but going back to ps1 games is fine.. Give me a break!

That being said, this creator do inspire me to have some fun with it before I start my journey.

I hope 100% gives out the platinum trophy for this one. Maybe that will help cure the addiction for some people.
I know a few people that stopped enjoying games after getting this obsession. They rush trough great games with a guide, not giving a damn about anything but the trophy. Looking up trophies to decide if they are buying the game or not. Quality of the game does not matter.

Yes, they are allowed to do what they want, but that can be said about people eating snot as well. haha

@Stocksy It all depends on what kind of story it is. And no, It would not make sense to kill off Laura before the last game (If she needed to die) because that's the one and only character you play as. Would be weird to play her as a ghost in the next game. haha
If a story is made for mature people I expect it to treat me like an adult. I can handle people dying, just like in real life. That's how life works, and that makes it realistic for me.
Having all the main characters survive thousand of battles, year after year, always making it in the end is not realistic to me.That sounds like typical stories for children.

I read a lot of books, and 90% of them are real stories. Not a single one of these stories are happy ones, but that does not make any of them bad.
Example. The last book I read was "Columbine" by Dave Cullen. Horrible story, but a fantastic book.
Why should a fictional story set in a even more brutal world be more kind than real life?

It's refreshing to see someone deliver a story without compromising anything for the sake of pleasing pop culture. Wish more creators would do this.

The few times I have ordered a product online and it was delivered broken, I got a personal apology and they instantly refunded the money.
This was the response to an accident, which they had no control over.
Why do these game companies deliver broken products, which they knew are broken, offer no refunds, and cry about the customers being toxic?
There should be way stricter laws for this, something that would make toxicity the least of their worries.

@Stocksy It would not make sense with a happily ever after ending in a setting like TLOU. So comparing it to Tom and Jerry is a ridiculous example.
A story should have a impact that actually means something, good and bad, ups and downs. That makes it believable.

Ok, tell me about all the games killing of their main characters, that makes the word "trend" valid.
To me it's the other way around. People want to ruin good stories because they can't handle to see something bad happening to a specific character. It ALWAYS have to end on a happy note.
That have nothing what so ever to do with the quality of the story, it's just people acting like children.

Played trough Ruiner the other day. Took me 5 hours on medium difficulty.

She was going to be married to an elder and she didn't want that, she wanted to become a warrior. Then she shaved her head and started calling herself Lev. If that made her trans to the rest of the tribe (Not implied anywhere), so be it.

Glad it's still happening, as the first game was their best.

@Would_you_kindly Where do people get these ideas? I played trough the game a couple of times and there where no trans people, mention of trans in any shape or form.

If not looking like a bimbo in a post apocalyptic world makes them trans, then people need to get their heads checked..

F.I.S.T., Tails of Iron, Ender Lilies and Carrion are games I will buy soon, so one of those would be very welcome.

Edit. I just picked up 3 of them on sale now, so only Tails of Iron left. haha

@TheDudeElDuderino It's their story and I had no problem with it. If people think Abby is a piece of *****, they should think the same thing about Ellie, as they are going on the same journey, for the same reason.

Some of the best stories out there are about horrible people, both fiction and real ones. Not liking a character/person does not change that.

Where do you get the idea that Abby is trans by the way? I had to look it up now and see if I missed anything implying that, but I did not. The developers themself says she's not.
And even if she was, being trans does not make a person good or bad.

@ObserverPlayz Probably because they like what they see, but refuse a challenge. Why else would they care to read articles about them.
Bloodborne was my favorite from them, so a sequel would make me squeal like a pig.

First game I preordered since RDR2. With their track record and the gameplay videos I've seen, I think it's a safe bet.

I was so ready for this game way back when it was announced, but when they said it would be first person, my interest flew out the window.
I'm glad I lost my interest early on, considering how it all went down. Dodged a bullet there. haha

Slitterhead and Alan Wake 2 got my interest. Elden Ring already got me long ago.

Wish they could have used some of that money and effort on the Disaster Edition.

For crying out loud. It's a dlc, no one is forcing anyone to buy and play it.
This is good news for the people that enjoy the game, and should be irrelevant news for the people that don't enjoy it.

This game looked like utter garbage, and the reviews supports that. If this had to happen to any game, I'm glad it's this one.
You can probably find a better game at psn for under 5 bucks.

I was was going to buy Mortal Shell as soon as I complete Blasphemous, so if this is true I'll be very happy with this month.

If you don't like these types of games, just move on. I don't see what there is to complain about.

How about waiting with a release date for when it can be set in stone? It's not like it's a problem in any shape or form, but I find it pointless.

One game a decade which I have the option to play on PC. I honestly don't care, especially considering I haven't truly enjoyed a Bethesda game since Oblivion.

That being said, I already payed full price for all three of them 15-20 years ago. Too outdated for my taste anyway. Hoping for a better remake of IV in the future.

For some reason I can't get into this game. I tried restarting it 3 times over since release, but I end up being done after a couple of hours.
I got the platinum for Odyssey, with a around 200 hours played, and about 100 hours in Origins.

Decided to get a year of Plus about 4 months ago, and so far there haven't been a freebie I'm slightly interested in. Just my luck. Haha
