@GodofCapcom Wrong. We are living through a dark of age of creativity. It has happened in the past. Tarantino recently spoke about how Hollywood lost it's edge during the 50s and that led to the great renaissance of the 70's with The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Jaws, Halloween, Alien, Star Wars etc

There are rumblings that Ubisoft is in financial trouble and CDPR's lead dev recently spoke about how big companies are running into a brick wall with their current quantity over quality approach. Hopefully both studios go bankrupt and we start getting great games again.

@GodofCapcom No. Welcome to modern video games. 2004-2012 was a golden age of creativity and you will do yourself a lot of good if you go back to play some of the classics that you might have missed.

@GodofCapcom This is such a weak response. Open world games haven't evolved at all for over a decade now still filled with formulaic activities and lazy quest design that incentivizes the creation of god playable characters like Aloy that can investigate and solve everything with the help of the Batman 'detective vision' from 2009 and take on empires on her own, but sure call me a hipster and live in blissful ignorance.

@LordBakemono You should be grateful that there is at least one person exposing games like Horizon for what they are. Hive minds and undeserved positivity only lead to worse products.

@GodofCapcom 'Every open world has checklist so that's not the issue' this line right here makes you a part of the problem. One day you will realize it.

What exactly even makes Horizon's world so special to you? The robot dinosaurs and animals? As far as I am concerned that's as lazy as studio can be. It can't possibly be the story and characters.

@Keyblade-Dan Not really. Imagine if you had to stick your hand in each and every fire you see just to be sure that it will in fact burn you. If you got sick of the formulaic assembly line development method of Ubisoft you can safely skip games like Horizon. It's the same thing.

I am okay with these low scores. There is no other mechanism to counter the brainless masses giving this trash unimaginative formulaic game 9s and 10s.

I hope that in Horizon 3 we can play as a male character. It's ridiculous that in 2023 we don't have the choice.

Just imagine how much better gaming could have been if devs hired quest, ai and physics specialists instead of 'Cinematic Designer with great film editing/directing skills'

I like FPS because it's more immersive and at least on paper harder. TPS seems like more fitting for 'turn your brain off' casual games like Assassins Creed and Horizon.

How is securing exclusivity for brand new releases 'anti' competition lol? They are being as competitive as a company can be. Politicians are dumb.

Even if the sales are not abysmal let's not forget that it would take a miracle and a half for the PSVR2 to become popular enough to be supported 18 months from now. And if modders can't make it work with PC all of the people who bought it would have a very expensive paperweight in their homes. IMO PSVR2 is just not a smart investment at all.

Hopefully it will release in the west as well in the future

@itsfoz Isolation would have been a decent game if they shortened it by half.

@frabbit That's why the whole RTX thing hasn't taken off yet in the mainstream. The tech itself is cool, but to the average consumer it means nothing. I think that devs benefit the most because they can light their games easier.

@ShogunRok It would certainly make their SP releases more profitable. I am happy for them.

You would think that they opened a motion capture studio so they DON'T have to hire an actual dragon, but you would be wrong.

@naruball Yes I can confirm that the majority of games look bad and are reviewed poorly. Even 6 and 7 scores are dog whistles for mediocrity nowadays.

I keep hearing that PSVR2 has a lot of good titles, but 90% of them look like indie games from 2010 and seemingly almost all have review scores from 3 to 7. The amount of copium by the 250k people who bought this product can be observed from outer space.

@PSXDave Kiefer did an awesome job as Big Boss. If only Kojima had the money and influence to hire him in 2004 as well so there is one less pointless drama in the world.

@JayJ No AAA developers are developing for PC first tho. Crysis 1 in 2007 was a glimpse of how much better could be without consoles, but pricing has always been a problem and it's only getting worse.

At this point gamers can't be gullible enough to believe this, right? Oh wait I forget that there are millions of new gamers every year so this will probably get them excited.

@MaccaMUFC You can probably play TLOU in VR right now with the help of Vorpx. And there is a small chance that modders will make the experience even more awesome just like they did with Alien Isolation

Why didn't E3 just make great games to showcase? Are they stupid?

@Shinnok789 Nah, multiple reports of crashing and fps drops regardless of hardware. Especially if you have less than 10/12gb of vram which is a problem because NVIDIA loves selling you the least amount of VRAM possible even tough everyone is telling them that it's not enough.

@IAmAshCohen17 Allegedly Sony is being investigated for harming Microsoft's chances of expanding in Japan. Maybe it will play a part in the ABK acquisition.

@dschons not trying to piss anyone off. I am just criticizing the many problems of the PSVR2 and the games it received on launch. Hopefully PSVR3 will be better.
