Why do people keep complaining??? It was never marketed as a remake or remaster, it's simply an update to make the PS4 version play and look a little better natively on the PS5. Stop complaining that they didn't meet your expectations when your expectations were completely wrong to begin with. The price point on the other deserves to be compained about. £50 for what they've given us is ridiculous. That's where the complaints should be aimed at instead.

Definitely a lot better now that I can directly stream digital games that I own but the imput lag, though it's to be expected, it's rather a let down as I mainly FPS titles or racing games. If they can somehow fix that it'll be it will be even better.

Remember the days when we actually had to get good at games instead of bitching about them because "we can't do it and it's not fair". This was the same when Star Wars Outlaws was released and people bitched about the stealth mechanics and Ubisoft patched it to appease the cry babies. Stop whining like children and learn how to play games ffs

Let's put this in dumb dumb terms shall we: PlayStation aren't our competition because we CAN'T compete with PlayStation. It really is that simple. All this explaining they've been doing is simply to hide the truth that well all know.

Of course she would say that considering Sony, along with Xbox's attitude has completely stripped them of their ability to complete in the console market. Their decision to go multi-plat with their biggest IP's is not for gamers, it's to line their pockets with money they can't get from gamers who aren't on Xbox. The quality of their top games is so far behind anything Playstation puts out it's ridiculous to think why Playstation would need to go multi-plat. Xbox are desperate to stay even remotely relevant they're just talking crap. I'm not a fanboy of either console, I have PS5 and Series X and. PS5 is just the better place to be.

The attitude Xbox have is ridiculous. I saw on purexbox that they said their next console is going to "extremely premium". What is the point???? They can't even sell the Series X and they think they'll get gamers to buy the "extremely premium" console??? They have lost touch with all of reality at this point.

It's utterly ridiculous, all I'm trying to do is to continue playing the single player campaign. I hit continue after selecting campaign then just get hit with a black screen. It shouldn't be this difficult to play offline single player just because servers are backed up. This is trash.

Why oh why am I stuck in a queue of over 300000 people just to play a single player campaign???? I hate gaming nowadays!!!!!! They have so much control over how and when we play it's disgusting.

I played the demo on Switch 2, I think I'll stick to Mario Kart. I don't know what it is but Mario Kart just feels better.

I gave it 9 purely because of the performance issues. Going through the forest on the bike at the end runs like s**t, some indoor areas drop frames massively to the point where 60fps barely looks like 20 fps and there's really no excuses for it. MGS3 is my favourite game of all time and the game itself is still the masterpiece I love to play and the modern day polish makes it that much better to look at but the performance needs to be better. Played through it 3 times already and about to start my 4th but it needs to be patched.

Really??? This is really the level of weak minded we've got to that people go in to a horror game and don't want the scares???? Stop the world, I want to get leave.

Tbh this has really annoyed me. I was waiting for reviews before getting this, seen your review that it plays really well so went and spent £80 on the digital deluxe pre-order to get the early access and now we find out your review was in fact misleading, yeah thanks for that 👍👍

My favourite game ever. I've had every version of it on release day, 100% completed it multiple times, unlocked every weapon, alternative cutscenes and boss fights (iykyk), unlocked every face paint and camouflage, there is nothing in MGS3 for me to find or do that I haven't done before multiple times over and yet the fact that this is 100% faithful to the original with nothing new has not put me off. I cannot wait to get this going!!! The original is an absolute masterpiece (my undoubtedly completely biased opinion) so it didn't need anything adding or taking out. New comers are going to love it.

@Hi569 I'm so glad somebody else has said this. So many people think they're doing for the gaming industry but it was conceived because of and continue to be because they need to boost their income because as a long term strategy gamepass has destroyed them. They can sugarcoat it all they want and try and position it as a good thing but the state of Xbox at this current time proves Sony were right all along.

I am sick and tired of hearing the complaints around the Switch 2 pricing. Doug Bowser is right, if you can't afford it don't buy it. At only 100 more than the Switch OLED considering the massive leap in performance, I don't see what the issue is. Nintendo, like every other household and business has been hit by rising development costs so without rising the price they charge, how else would those complaining suggest they cover the increased costs???? Don't worry, I'll wait 🤦‍♂️

Stop complaining. It's a flagship game from Xbox. This is like Xbox owners complaining about paying full price if Sony ported The Last Of Us and charged full price🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ why do you people want everything nothing nowadays. Things cost money, get used to it.

Without xbox playstation has no competition and without competition there'll be no development and we've all seen how bad Sony can become when they're arrogant, and if xbox dies that level of arrogance will go through the roof. So no, xbox dying will not be good for any part of the industry. You're just to short sighted to realise.

I cannot wait for this to release. Snake Eater is my favourite game of all time but it needs this refresh..

@JokerBoy322 i agree with you saying Sony will be Lazy. Xbox think they're being smart by going multiplatform but all they're really doing is hastening the speed in which we go to consoles being obsolete. Sony won't need to develop consoles so much because there won't be any competition. Nintendo do their own thing, Steam just allows access to what everyone else does anyway and Xbox really aren't going to release anymore consoles after the next Gen so we all lose eventually. Which really comes down to Xbox being piss-poor at consoles since the announcement of the One and believing that somehow they were God just because they beat the PS3 with the 360.

Hell yes. And as soon as they start releasing Halo and the mainline Forza games I'll get rid of my Series X. I literally only bought it last year to play Halo and Forza, seems like a waste of money now to be honest 🤦‍♂️

@nomither6 i wouldn't call Halo Infinite trash. It Certainly is nowhere near as good as 1-3 and Reach but it's ok.

How much does it actually matter though?? You're playing as a fictional character in space in a fictional future. Some people need to get a grip and figure out what's really important in their lives. Screaming about the look of a fictional, digital character should be soooooooo far down your list of priorities.

@Runex2121 I'm all for player choice if that's how the game was intended to be, but going back and changing or removing things because people complain is what I don't like. As I said, we used to have to get good, not whine to the developer to get them to change it. I lost count of the amount of times I got caught in Splinter Cell Conviction, yet because i didn't have the option to complain, I got better and managed to beat it 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Playstation is better to develop for as the requirement to make a game compatible with inferior hardware isn't there. Throw Gamepass into the mix and it's to see why devs head to Playstation. Why take a percentage from Gamepass when you can actually sell your games.

They say it was a glitch, but in reality they were hoping people wouldn't notice or pay attention. It was never a glitch, it was always planned, but they've seen the early backlash and backpeddled super quickly

@LogicStrikesAgain the price is fair for the upgrades they're offering but not having a disc drive is absolutely ridiculous and will put most people off. Why should we pay £700 for a pro, then have to pay even more on top to play out collection of games that we've already spent £50-£70 on...... it's totally ridiculous of them to expect their consumer base to pay this. A disc drive should be standard, at least at launch. Those that play all digital are fine either way, but those that prefer physical are being ripped off.

So I have an original PS5 with a disc drive, which means most of my game collection is physical, no Sony want me to pay £700 for the pro and then spend extra for the convenience of playing my games, nah no thanks Sony, you can shove it where the sun don't shine. They've dropped the ball with this one. Disc drive should be standard.

What a poor excuse. Xbox have spent the past 2-3 years complaining about big bad playstation while trying to but Activision they've forgotten how bad they are. Maybe if they spent more time focusing on gamers instead of profits they wouldn't be struggling. Focus on your consumers and your profits will follow.

Yes it can. While I am all for the "Git Gud" feelings, my life with gaming now doesn't want a challenge. I used to, but now I prefer a relaxing gaming session with less frustration and more enjoyment. Nowadays I'd rather run through a game and enjoy it instead of the constant deaths and restart from.checkpoint, especially in games that repeat the same dialogue after every death or restart.

I don't think developers of games like Elden Ring, Bloodbourne etc should make games easier as it's my choice to play difficult games or not and I'm definitely not entitled enough to demand that developers cater for me.

New wi-fi features? How about they make it have a stable connection directly to the console instead 🤦‍♂️

So a PS2 game running on a PS2 emulator looks and plays like a PS2 game and people are complaining??? What on earth do you expect?????? It isn't a port or a remake or even a remaster and hasn't been released as one of those things!!!!! It's an emulated game. The entitlement today is absolutely shocking.

The always on connection is annoying especially when its simply for texture streaming. I and a lot of other players only ever play the campaigns. Why can't they give all players the option of only installing the features they use and let us download a texture pack separately. Let us decide how much of our SSD we want the game to take up.

It makes perfect sense. Their hardware sales are nowhere near that of PS5 so they're tapping into that install base. Could it signal the end of Xbox as a console maker though? I hope not. Without competition to push them I think Sony could become complacent and future Playstations wont push the boundaries of what's possible because they wont need to.

It makes perfect sense. They aren't shifting the number of consoles PlayStation do so they're losing out on a huge section of the market by keeping their games exclusive. As software is where they make most of their money they won't make much of a profit as the install base just isn't there. I'd love to see Halo, Gears, Forza etc on the PS5 even if have recently bought a Series X 🤦‍♂️

So in other words they can no longer compete with PlayStation in the hardware market so may as well cash in with software sales on the competitors hardware. I totally understand where they're coming from, but saying it's for the benefit of gamers everywhere is just B.S. It's simply a way for them to make money off their games because they don't sell enough consoles to make their games profitable anymore.

Definitely wouldn't say no to a nice bit of Halo and Gears on the PS5 to be honest. That would be epic. Could get rid of my Xbox One then.

They have to do something. Xbox is massively lagging behind PlayStation in console sales so obviously that means they wont move massive amounts of their 1st party games. Going multiplatform with their IP's is a good idea. It would generate sales that they wouldn't get otherwise. This is why it makes no sense that Activision wanted the deal with Xbox so bad. If Xbox was to cut CoD from being multiplatform the amount of sales they would lose would be absolutely massive. Xbox are struggling and need to do something drastic. I hope they don't drop hardware because that would be bad for everyone because Sony could relax a bit with less competition and stop pushing the boundaries.

Ive been playing it in between playing Horizon Forbidden West (I've had it for over 12 months and only now getting round to play it 🤦‍♂️)

It wasn't exactly difficult to upgrade. I put the ps4 disc in and as usual the upgrade price was shown on the right hand side of the screen. I don't imagine the digital upgrade is any more difficult. If you mess up this simple process you deserve to lose your money.

My most played are Hogwarts Legacy, Resi's 4 and Village. Oh and a little bit of Dead Space.

I've been debating whether to get Evil West for a while, glad I can check it out.

There's a chance the release could be much earlier than September/October. GTA 4 released end of April. It is the anamoly rather than the standard, but we can hope can't we.
