@themightyant So its still not very usefull. A console is made with the idea of playing games at less graphic fidelity at a lower cost.

This will be the last Xbox and after that they will become the new Sega. Activision Blizzard maybe wasn't the choice to buy.
Massive costs have to be made back.

And if games are cheaper on Steam the box will be even less usefull especially with the Steam machine coming. If they get Xbox games on that its over for the Xbox brand.

@SMJ Probably not enough otherwise the games would stay on their platform. And its not the platform its the brand a platform stands for the identify. Its a pity Sony is losing a lot of it's identify with gaming getting so big is miss the smaller Sony with much more identity.

@belmont I still love playing on my console as many other. I don't want to be tied down to a launcher. Let's hope there will console for a long while im terrified what will happen when big corpo locks everything behind a launcher. Who says Steam will stay the good what happens when Gabe dies i am certain some greedy corporation will swallow it up and bleed us dry.

@themightyant You can buy them on Steam and play them on Xbox why even get the Xbox at this point.

Awsome games don't get me wrong but in the end i hated Kratos he was the bad guy in the guy. I like the new Kratos a lot better. Man i wanted something like Heavenly Sword or Legend of Dragoon.

@themightyant For me horrible performance is the line i can't cross. Ill take a lower FPS that is stable over a mess of a game.

Great that its something else but i am not paying full price for a broken release. This will go on my ill buy it a €20 maybe pile. Or fully patched LRG release i have so much to play.

@McBurn No Bethesda is just quite lacking lately. Their sub par quality in releases doesnt help their case either. They could use someone who would fix their games modders do the heavy lifting.

@Judal27 Im a old man and I believe i should not need to gamble to play as the characters I like. Free to play is always compromised or gimped my favorite games are the most fun without me wasting my time. And doing your best to unlock stuff isn't the same as gambling and hoping atleast for me.

For the edit I just don't like these systems it's giving your time so you can game for free. And yes every F2P has this issue. After playing Elden Ring for 900 hours that im certain I rather pay to play how, when and without pressure or FOMO or timed things.

@BAMozzy Insane budgets don't make games better or more fun that had been proven a lot of times already. Somehow the smaller budget games are more fun and somehow even more polished.

@Scottyy Why does a massive budget mean better quality. I have seen so many insane budgets not deliver while the low budget games hit it out of the park.

Four days early access means you pay extra so others have to wait four days.

@Ellie-Moo Where at age where you pay full price for a broken game and people tell you be happy with it they will patch. We complain about games needing to better looking how about we start getting games on day one with a playable build .

@themightyant To be real it was sarcasm the store is setup so bad it's almost impossible to find anything naturally.
I believe a three year old can do a better job.

How about a genre tab, better search engine, suggestions and highly rated games getting highlighted instead of who is paying.

Steam is also a bloody mess too I heard it's a pity because so many games get buried under shuffleware with Platinums.

It's funny that a physical store has better search option online. Suggestions what can be done to make your shopping experience better with every order.

That is how my worst store became my favorite. Through better shipping suggestions and even if it's a but more expensive its worth it.

There is a reason why Sony,Microsoft and Nintendo make their physical releases as bad as possible. Incomplete physical releases, broken versions on the disc, difficult to get releases, Collector's Editions without a disc but with a steelcase. (funny because everyone is asking for less clutter but they include a discless version with junk and a steelcase)

@themightyant I can say it quite simple if it makes a experience of a game worse it's bad.

Free to play and Gatcha games need to make money. So they can do a few and that is never better for the game.

Make it a grind without spending money, make you log in every day, FOMO, the pulls system, gear that is a nightmare to max, waste you time, use whales.

That is true it is i found out how bad it was with Gems of War always chasing something new. Never having a rest because if I don't log in a i miss a reward.

It took me a effort to quit because it was a ritual not fun. Elden Ring is also a lot of effort and difficulty but its relaxing and fun no gun to my head when I miss a day. No FOMO just fun and enjoyment.

Its cost money but I played it for 900 hours and i had fun real fun. I didn't feel pressured it let's you enjoy your experience.

@tameshiyaku Come on this looks worse then the PS3 version. I don't like how the handled it with the actor with his SA stuff quite tonedeaf. And it looks really rough really rough.

@Ellie-Moo The worst thing is how bad they handled it and still kept it like this. They should have pushed back the release. This is really done poorly. The problems with the actor in question it was just a mess and this ouch. Its such a pity the preservation is so bad at this time and age.

Concord was the same thing for me you already burned 400 million why not try to make something of it. I have seen worse games being kept alive.

How can they miss something that big well physical is useless in that case because its not on the disc.

Beyond Good & Evil is one game I lost interest in ages ages ago because of what they want to make it. It was a lifeservice open world something. They lost me on that ages ago.

@rjejr Free to play games shallow up your time I played gems of war in the end its was just logging doing the chores of the game. It was difficult to get rid off but eventually I happy i did it.

@themightyant That sounds like a terrible compliment. Its not that bad as the others so atleast we can agree these games are made to waste your time. Its made for not fun its made as a timewaster to make people engage and pull their wallets.

@Oram77 To be fair most of their games are not that revolutionary.

@darylb24 The reaction of Valve shows that most PC gamers are below the power of a PS5 maybe that shows whats more important. Making a console repairable, good bang for a buck, lower power consumption and better optimised software.

@DTfearTheBEARD At this point shouldn't they just go for a 1440P upscaled setup with all the bells and whistles and 120 FPS.

@Gaia093 I agree with these bloated budgets and how long they take its probably already a nightmare to make a profit.

@Rich33 They are bankrupt in the idea part. They are so focused on what is needed recurring for revenue that they list sight of what is to make a fun game. And let's be honest how many of their classics have been released? No instead we get AC 20 with a bigger open world, or somehow a game with a bloated funding. How can they just release a smaller budget Rayman, a Ghost Recon game a remaster of older games, they had those smaller releases how is possible that smaller new studio's can make better games at 10% funding.

@AhmadSumadi Its insane how much mismanagement is there at these big studio's the more money the worse the management it seems.

@Wakkawipeout Take out the whales funding the product and it will get a lot less feasable. These products do bank on addiction and gambling.

@themightyant With these kinds of budgets being thrown out of the window its not strange they can't make a profit. Tencent will have Ubisoft soon eno7gh when they can't pay the debt back.

That is really Pay to Play. 😅
