Re: Silent Hill 2 Remake Dev Taking 'Very Safe Approach' to Any Changes

Finozzi1696

The moment these companies start changing old beloved franchises to "make them appealing for "modern audiences" (?)" is the moment they start screwing it up for woke points and thus flopping and getting bad reviews by the "modern" costumers they're trying to appeal.
In 2022 we had thousands of examples of these woke flops, RE Netflix series, Willow, She Hulk, The Witcher Blood Origin, Strange World, Lightyear, Ms Marvel, The Little Mermaid remake 1 million dislikes in YT, etc.......

So I really hope they stay true to the original masterpiece and don't turn this remake into another forgettable one ruined by wokeness, we had millions of those in recent years.

Re: Shocking: Silent Hill 2 Teaser Blows Up on YouTube Following Years of Hype and Speculation

Finozzi1696

@DylanP speak for yourself. Many people love Silent Hill since decades, and Kojima never had anything to do with them until that teaser from some years ago. Silent Hill 2 is regarded as one of the best ones in the franchise with the most emotional story, I rather much preferred the original Silent Team remaking it rather than Kojima or anyone else who'll likely not be able to translate it well in a remake.

Re: Resident Evil 4 Remake Is Now Coming to PS4 as Well

Finozzi1696

YES!! its pretty much the only game that made me really wish to have a PS5, since they're still pretty expensive on my country. I'm so happy for this, I also couldn't believe it was a PS5-only game when judging by the graphics it was clearly capable to run on a PS4 too. I enjoyed the PS4 version of Village despite the load times, so I'll be enjoying this as well

Re: You're All Wrong! GTA 6 Won't Have the Franchise's First Female Protagonist

Finozzi1696

I'm latino. Having a female protagonist isn't woke, it is obviously woke when nowadays they force said character to be multiple minorities at once, lesbian, male-like with big muscles, non-white, for no reason, just for the sake of representation (representating 1% of the global population that is, we aren't even talking about 49%), and her antagonist will likely be a white heterosexual male, because companies nowadays fear to make a black or latino character the villain to not be called out as "racist", so they are forced to send the fake message that all white heterosexual people are bad and evil, and all minorities are Mother Teresa.
Like I said I'm latino, there are good latin people and there are bad latin people. There are good white people and there are bad white people.
Its a pity companies nowadays from both the movie industry and game industry aren't being fair and balancing that out, out of fear of getting "cancelled" by Twitter people who represents 5% of the population, while the rest doesn't care about said dumb representations.

Re: Elden Ring Easy Mode Isn't Happening on PS5, PS4

Finozzi1696

This is the reason why I don't play these games despite the gameplay mechanic looking good, if I know I'm going to be constantly frustrated dying time after time then the meaning that games are supposed to be fun and a way to relieve the stress of coming home from work/school gets lost if despite having a stressful day I'm going to continue being stressed out playing these games.
Its a pity, if their games were more accessible I'm sure they'd be selling even better.

Re: EA Sports' Future FIFA Games Might Not Be Called FIFA

Finozzi1696

@Matroska the name only sounds weird if you're from the US since in that country the most popular sports are those the rest of the world doesn't care about like baseball, american football, golf, etc except for a minority. Worldwide, FIFA is a pretty well known name.

Re: Sony Allegedly Funding Kojima Productions Silent Hill Game

Finozzi1696

@KundaliniRising333 And you always make the same mediocre comments every time SH's name is mentioned lol, who hurt you?
SH2 is regarded as one of the best psychological horror games out there, PT even to this day is still one of the most influential horror games from recent years, spawning clones like Layers of Fear among others. Even your Resident Evil 7 ended up taking clear influence out of it.
So that's your opinion, not facts.

Re: This Abandoned and Blue Box Game Studio Thing Is Getting Out of Hand

Finozzi1696

@KundaliniRising333 the first 4, specially SH 2, which were developed by the original Japanese Team Silent are regarded as masterpieces of the horror game genre, and PT made by Kojima even if it was just a teaser became one of the most influential horror titles of the last decade, if you didn't liked them that's your problem, not the games' lol. Some later games developed by Western developers are indeed not as good, but the original 4 have fantastic reviews and people to this day keeps playing them. God knows what kind of trash games you play yourself thinking they're good.

Re: Quantic Dream Classic Fahrenheit Covers Up a Murder from 9th August

Finozzi1696

@MinerWilly the remastered version of Beyond actually includes more content than the PS3 version: 1- you can now play it in chronological order, 2- a new screen appears at the end of the chapters telling you what choices you made, which ones you missed and what choices did other users made, 3- it comes with a DLC that was only available for people who pre-ordered the PS3 version I think. etc...

Re: Rockstar's The Warriors Brawls to PS4

Finozzi1696

@Mickael486 twice? I never bought it, and now is my chance. This PS2 games comes with trophy support, 1080p resolution, remote play, share play, and streaming capabilities. Trophy/platinum support is an incentive for many people who likes to earn trophies with this PS2 games.
This remasters/emulations/ports are aimed to be played by people like me who never got the chance to play them before, is not aimed for people who already did it unless they feel like doing it again. I mean is their money and they can do whatever they want with it, and if they have fun playing it again then it was money well spent.

Re: PS4 Reveals Its Primal Side with Upcoming PS2 Classic

Finozzi1696

@VanillaLake see my reply to Utena-mobile above, the PS3 versions didn't had any trophies, remote play, share play and streaming capabilities so it was easy and quicker to make them, meanwhile this PS4 versions does have all of that so it takes way more time to make them this time (it takes 1 to 2 months per game to add trophies according to a Sony's employee, and yes remote play, share play and streaming needs to be manually tested to ensure they work properly, is not just an automatic process made by the console, they need to test those things first)
They were able to make more deals on the PS3 because those companies didn't had to invest nearly any money into those ports, as opposed of now that they have to invest something so Sony can add those trophies and test the other functions which also takes money to do so.
Also another theory of mine is that MS's Xbox One BC announcement took Sony by surprise so they had to announce their PS2 emulation in the same year at the PS Experience event, so since they were in a rush they were only able to make a deal with Rockstar giving their success and some other minor companies, we'll be seeing more deals soon but like I said this PS4 ports have more actual effort put into them as opposed to the PS3 versions which were lazy ports, the only difference being the 720p resolution and that was it, so obviously it was much more easy and quicker to make those PS3 ports.

@Utena-mobile there were more PS2 games on PS3 because they were straight ports, they didn't had to add trophies, remote play, share play or streaming capabilities, the PS3 versions didn't had any of that so it was very easy and quick to make them, meanwhile this PS4 versions does have all of that so it takes way longer to make them, adding trophies and testing them takes 1 to 2 months per game according to some Sony's employee, that's why they are taking longer to be released than the PS3 ones which were lazy ports with no actual effort.

@Carl-G adding trophies, testing them and also testing all the other things like remote play, share play, streaming capabilities, etc takes time, according to some sony employee it takes nearly 1 to 2 months to add and test trophies, so of course it takes a little time for them to release them.

Re: PS4 Reveals Its Primal Side with Upcoming PS2 Classic

Finozzi1696

@Utena-mobile why bad? they are releasing most games that were published by them originally and rockstar, to release more games that were originally published by other companies they need to make deals with those companies, which takes time and effort and the approval of those companies to port their games. and since this is a ps2 emulation program they are just porting ps2 games, unless sony does a similar thing and starts a ps1 emulation program in the future.
