Actually, I look forward to a game trailer for Max Payne remakes. It was about time they showed sth about the game. People are forgetting these even exist. Come on Remedy. Don't mess this up please.

The only thing I look forward to at TGA is new reveals and anouncements. I got really happy though when Astrobot won last year's best game. The deserved the extra attention.

I wonder to what extent GTA 6 release will boost the ps5 sales? Or will the healty and consistent PS5 sales convince Sony to push the PS6 release to 2028?

I wish Guerilla Games moved to a new IP once they are done with the third entry in the series. The formula got pretty boring with the second game.

The presentation was solid and looked next gen but somehow the gameplay didn't click with me much. Kinda looked boring in comparison with the Uncharted series. Too much walking and talking before for some actual gameplay kicked in, and I no longer have that kind of patience.

It looked like a ps4 game. Nothing but a reskin. Not gonna get it.

Well, I don't have high hopes for this game. The previous trailers did little to convince me it is a next gen game. They seemed to have decided on an iterative approach than designing a next gen experience. In short, I suspect it is more of the same with new charachters a a new setting unless I'm convinced otherwise.

How's that a banger of a showcase when almost all these titles will also be released on competing platforms? 😀

My dream anouncements would be GTA 7 or Red Dead Redemption 3. Just kidding. An actual gameplay footage from the Max Payne remake or something from Santa Monica can be a mouth watering prospect.

I don't really know why you are all excited. The screenshots clearly state that it's not actual gameplay. Just a tech demo. Remeber, after all these years we have not seen one UE5 game that looks half as good as the Matrix demo the showcased at the beginning of the generation.

Hopefully we'll see some new anouncements, like RE9 or sth from Guerilla Games or Santa Monica.

I don't have high hopes for this one. The whole concept of making an entire game around Wolverine seems like a tough nut to crack. I'm wondering how they will design satisfying gameplay mechanics for this one when apparently all you can do is slash and slice up the enemies. I wish they discarded the Marvel universe and relied on their own ideas instead. That's the Insomniac I grew up to love.

I'd say this whole tv adaptaion hasn't really worked out at all. The worst thing about the show is that Bella is no Ellie. She looks way younger than should be and sounds like an anoying teenager whereas Ellie in the game looked much more mature. Moreover, a lot of what made the game great has been altered or omitted in the show. I dont really think I will return to the show for a third season. At this rate, there is a possiblity the negative feedback from the community could also impact the third game, if it ever happens.

Their concentration on live service games has ruined this generation. They wasted so many resources and talent taking this pathway that now they have nothing to show 5 years into the generation. Another disappointing aspect of this generation has been its long long cross gen period which has led many developers not to take advantage of the new hardware properly. I do really hope they won't release the PS6 until Q4 2028. There's really no need for a new generation anytime soon.

I don'y know what but there's sth off with the show. The first season didnt click with me and neither did this episode. Goes on to show what a great job Naughty Dog has done that cant be easily replicated by a tv adaptation. Come to think of it, I believe the issue goes beyond this series as I can't remember any movie adaptaion of games in the past that actually worked.

One of the most overrated games last year. Bored me to death, and tried so hard to convince myself to keep plodding through the game but gave up half way through. There were many issues the press did not cover. The enemies did not play a significant role in the game at all; You could easily skip them. The game play mechanics were awkward and I never found any joy in the fights. Alan's mind place and Saga's evidence board were counter intuitive and totally unnecessary. Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge remedy fan as witnessed by my profile picture, but I have to admit they dropped the ball badly with this one. I'm happy this game is struggling. It might make them reconsider their approach and go back to what made me and others a fan in the first place.

Unfortunately, the mafia series is not known for its rich world. There's usually not much activity besides completing the main missions. You can barely interact with the npcs and the environment. It's basically a linear game set in a very boring world. There's so much potential but it's usually not taken advantage of.

A game that reminds us of simpler times when games were fun without any live-service or in game transactions, a time when we didn't have to wait for a decade to get a sequel to a fan-favorite series. Fingers crossed this one is going to sell at least 10 million copies, so Sony will learn their lesson and change the way they make games.

I think they're going to bundle this game with the PS5 pro. Most likely it's going to be pre installed.

I hope all their live service attemps will fail so they will go back to focusing on single player games. On the other hand, I badly want the likes of Astro to sell millions, so they will know what we really want.

Astro Playroom has been the most joyful experience I have had on Playstation 5. If a game makes me feel like Im a 10 year old kid, then it must be a great game and that's exactly how I felt paying Astro for the first time. Looking forward to Astro's next adventure. Bring it on.

Im already planning to migrate to nintendo's side once the switch 2 drops. I can no longer identify myself with Sony anymore. PS5 games barely look and play any different than PS4 titles. PS5 is basically PS4 pro 2.

That was pretty poor. Of course I didn't have high expectations either and the games had already been leaked. But What is Sony doing? They couldn't even reveal a teaser trailer for their 2025 lineup?

A new astro reveal trailer running on the PS5 PRO would be exciting.

I've been gaming for more than 20 years since the very first days of Sega Mega drive and at this age Im much more into gameplay aspects such as better physics and AI than graphics. That's why Astrobot has probably been my besy PS5 game so far. I wish these companies focused on deeper and more enjoyable gameplay mechanics than just looks.

They will probably have sth to show next year and even when they show new stuff they will be released in 2026 and 2027. I have zero expecations. They fumbled the current generation. I dont think I will pick another Play Station. I will move to Nintendo once theu release Switch 2.

The sales will begin to take a nosedive as many ps5 owners are gradually realizing that this generation does not have many exclusives compared to previous generations. Sad to admit but this has been the worst playstation in terms of games.

I dont get it why the series took the first person path. I wish they returned to third person. If RE5 is first person, Im not gonna bother.

Well, Microsoft does not own many must have exclusives. I'd like to play some recent Gears games and also the forza series though. But that'a about it. If they had managed to expand their quality portfolio, they would not have found themselves in this mess in the first place.

The messed up the original Mafia remake. Lets hope this one is going improve upon their open world formula as their environments are quite empty.

He made some terrible decisions toward the end of his career, forcing some really talented studios to throw away their single player projects in favor of live-service crap. The reason we have not seen many PS5 single player exclusives is this joke of a man. Good riddance

The future belongs to games with simpler graphics then.

I will hold off a decision untill I can clearly see what real life advantages the pro version could bring to the table. I highly dount ps5 pro will make a huge difference in the first batch of games as we barely have more than a couple of titles that have showcaded what the base system is capable of let alone the pro version.

2024 is shaping up to be a barren land of nothing. Probably my least favorite console generation so far.

Ps5 is turning out to be the poorest Playstation console ever in terms of quality games. With xbox sales in free fall, it will be just a matter of time before players lose faith in the playstation brand as well.

It's about time but keep your expectations low as I dont think they've got much up their sleeves in 2024.

There is huge FPS gap in Sony's lineup and despite a huge demand among PS5 owners for revival of gamea such as Killzone and Resistance, Sony wasted a lot of their time and resources on live service games which didnt even materialize. Sony's making a lot of bad decisions lately. And the consequences will soon catch up with them one way or another.

Ancient Persia is such a fantastic setting with great potential for video games. I wish more developers took advantage of this.

I think Sony will not have a major first party game in 2024 and that's why they will want to make things look good for the future. As a result, they will definitely anounce some new games even though in the form of a teaser trailer.

An original god of war trilogy remake would be great following Ragnorak. Why would Kratos travel all the way to egypt by the way? Makes no sense. The best setting for the next game would be Greece.

Unfortunately, Sony is not taking advantage of the PS5 hype and has had some missteps this generation. We have not had a single announcement from the likes of Naughty Dog or Sucker punch this gen. During the ps3 era, they would have released at least two titles each. Next year, there is not one single major game from Sony's first party studios either. Actually, I wish there was some competition from Microsoft. I think Sony is beginning to feel cocky and make wrong moves one after another.

By the way, Sony's strategy to focus on Gaas seems to beign showing its ugly face in 2024 as they have no major exclusives planned for next year.

Literally nothing enticing on the list for 2024. I guess 2024 is the year I will have enough time to clear my backlog instead. 2025 is going to be big though 🥳
