@Psnfanboy79 if you play them, you can tell there is a difference in developers and the communities are very hardcore for their gacha of choice. Lots of drama in the gacha space.
My son and I very much enjoyed playing as both characters in two playthroughs of It Takes Two and we are very much looking forward to this one next weekend. Probably do another double playthrough.
@kcarnes9051 I was just thinking the same thing. Where was this kind of combat in the FF VII Remakes? I enjoyed the games, but it always felt off to me.
I just want to chime in, yes, gacha can be predatory, but they can also be done free to play and certain games can have a lot of content. Mobile games are more predatory in my opinion because pop ups, but Genshin and WuWa don’t do those things. You have to actually go into the area to buy, but you also get a lot of free pulls.
@themightyant you seem to be on my side. I’m a gacha gamer. Spent a lot of hours in Genshin Impact and I’ve been playing Summoners War since their launch 10 years ago. I absolutely LOVE Wuthering Waves. It’s my main at home on PS5 now. SW on my phone.
I really enjoyed the male/female dynamic of It Takes Two, so that to me is a little disappointing (and I play with my son), but a lot of what they showed looks very fun and I can’t wait to play this with him.
I’m excited, my son and I played through last of us twice as each character and loved every second of it. Been really looking forward to what they were going to do next. Glad it will be out so soon. Supposedly.
I know I’m in the minority here, and I did not read every comment before saying this, but why not try a GaaS like Genshin? I’ve been playing the game since launch and have put money into it, not going to pretend I haven’t. It’s, technically, a single player game with the option of multiplayer (which I have never done outside of like two yearly events) and can be done alone with good story and voice acting. Might get some of the people who prefer a single player GaaS than the usual multiplayer ones. I would definitely look into it if it was done well like they, mostly have, with Genshin. On a side note, I do play a lot of Wuthering Waves on my tablet too.
@Doctor_BK The casting choices for the roles may not be the best, but a lot of them do have a following. I just think, like Concord, who was asking for this? Is Borderlands that big of an IP?
@Gremio108 probably have another account and got all the answers, did it on their real account. Just a theory, 21 seconds to get all 10 right seems very unlikely unless just got lucky with 10/10 random guesses. Suppose that’s possible. I got 2/10. Improved on the AstroBot one. Nice.
@UltimateOtaku91 I will admit, there are many predatory gacha games, especially on mobile with the pop ups that are constantly trying to get you to buy. I find the games from Hoyoverse and Wuthering Waves to actually try not to force anything on you. Yeah, it’s there if you want to do it, but the lack of pop ups really makes it feel unnecessary. If you want/need every character in the game, then yeah, probably also not the best game for someone. I just know you can complete what a game like Genshin has to offer as a free to play, might just take a little more time. There is no PvP though.
I know everyone hates Gacha games here. I myself enjoy them, I wonder if anyone has actually played one? They are games you can still play without spending any money because most offer a lot of ways to earn the currency used for free as you play the game. And maybe it comes down to personality, some may find the temptation hard to resist.
Can’t make money down the line by including everyone. That being said, playing as Federer and Serena is probably all I would need. Venus would be nice as well.
Genshin Impact is my most played by far, but I did find time to platinum Hogwarts Legacy, finish Final Fantasy XVI, and run through Jedi Survivor with a little FF7 Remake sprinkled in. My son and I replayed It Takes Two as the opposite characters and played quite a bit of 2K Drive. And finally I watched him platinum Spider-Man 2.

Once price is released, everyone will see you can buy a different monitor for half the price but twice the “power”.

It’s my favorite game of all time, would pay full $69.99 for it. I would definitely take a full 3D remake as well.

Re: Huge Genshin Impact Rival Wuthering Waves Could Be Coming to PS5, PS4 Sooner Than Expected
@themightyant supposedly controller support is coming. They announced it I heard. Hoped it would be in the 1.1 update also, maybe next one.

@get2sammyb As a huge Genshin fan, I can’t wait either. I’m one of the many Hoyoverse fans who plays all their games.
Re: Mar 2024 USA Sales: Dragon's Dogma 2 Tops the Charts, Helldivers 2 Is Unstoppable
Crazy to me to see Hogwarts Legacy still doing what it’s doing after being out for so long. I guess Switch release wasn’t too far back though.
Re: It Takes Two Devs Will Show Us What's Next This Year, and It's 'Real Good'
My son and I will very much be looking forward to the announcement. They don’t have enough co-op games that aren’t party games on PS5.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing the Stellar Blade Demo?
Just got home, but I plan on trying the demo. Probably won’t be a day one purchase no matter how much I love it.

My biggest takeaway from this was that he was also taking a shot at himself with the comment about his speech last year.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Assassin's Creed Mirage?
I’ve never played any of the games, but kind of interested in trying this one. Never really had any kind of want to play them.
Re: Pacific Drive Revs Narrative Engine in PS5 Story Trailer
It’s definitely on my most anticipated games list. Don’t mind the delay if it helps the game.
Re: Deals: Top PS5 Products Reduced to Black Friday-Level Prices in Sony Summer Sale (UK)
How long were they making PS3 games into the PS4 era? Seems like we’re still seeing PS4 games coming out next year.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for August 2023?
I almost bought PGA 2K23 last week, so I’m excited for that especially since I never pulled the trigger on buying it.
Re: Try Out PS5's Weirdest New Game with a PS Plus Premium Trial
Game looks terribly-awesome, but I think the highlight for me is the voice for the trailer. Seemed to really be having fun reading the lines.
