@Romans12 the same could be said about Fable. Played 1-3. It was basically the same okay game that failed to be great. Nothing memorable and all 3 were a one and done experience.

Just bought the premium edition on disc for a sale price so I can't complain about the DLC getting cheaper.

Sales in vinyl are on the rise and have been for a while.

@TheArt I tried playing the remaster of the OG GoW within the last month and it's just so cringey.

Always angry Kratos gets tiring after 10 minutes. Gameplay feels slow and the camera angles are atrocious.

Everything about the newer GoW outshines the old. And best of all, nothing to do with David Jaffe.

@ButteredCrumpet agreed. If people want to complain about not being able to grow their disc based collection, or trade in their games, by all means.

As far as I am concerned, that's the only benefit I see to physical these days. Controlling your shelf clutter. A good friend of mine is opting out of gaming when discs end and I don't berate him about it and it's quite obvious why. He doesn't rage bait about it and he stays on topic.

Honestly, there are many better, more productive things people could be investing their time and money into and bettering themselves.

Also, when you buy a game, you own the disc. That's it. The disc gives you access to the license, which you don't own.

@8bitOG I can guarantee you no one has forgotten about Sony's choice to go all digital. We don't need the incredibly vocal minority ruining every comment section with remarks about it to earn fake internet points.

Go play some of those disc-based games you enjoy before they become coasters and find something new to whine about.

First Light is good enough, I guess. I was hoping it would hold my interests longer. I'm in the last section of the game and I got there weeks ago but I really haven't felt the drive to go back and finish.

I'm sure I will eventually but I'm just not feeling it at the moment.

@RobN Sierra games hold a special place in my heart. King's Quest, Space Quest, Quest for Glory and even Leisure Suit Larry. I was first introduced to KQ when I was less than 10 years old.

The adapting is now necessary from the side of the hobbyists. We already see lots of posts where people say they're dipping out when physical media does.

This is people refusing to adapt.

They always seem to come out pretty hot.

I still remember a friend of mine having some friends over to hang out and catch a buzz and he had rented an Xbox (Blockbuster was out of PS2s) with Halo and DOA3.

Our jaws all collectively dropped when we fired up Halo. The gameplay was tight and the graphics were next level. We just panned the camera down and counted blades of grass, it was so detailed.

Wow, this trailer was better than all of the Paul Anderson movies combined.
