Honestly I’d have to get my hands on one and demo it. I have an OG Switch and don’t play it handheld at all bc even with my glasses I can’t see a damned thing on it.

I purchased Aliens: Dark Descent back when it released and didn’t get around to playing it until yesterday. I was instantly hooked. I had to force myself to not boot it up again after we came back from grocery shopping bc I knew I’d spoil my nights sleep (I have to work this Saturday).
Even on Story Difficulty I’m having a tough time and I love it. The game is dark and gloomy and Xenos will try to drag your crew members away!
It captures the atmosphere of an Alien game quite well. Haven’t felt this on-edge versus xenos since Isolation.

@wiiware if you’re a fan of unsheathe and bleed, wait until you find the Rivers of Blood katana.

And while I agree with you for most bosses that summoning is more or less the easy way out, Malenia will change your mind probably. She’s a beast.

Pumped for this. I really liked the Divinity Original Sin games though I wasn’t that good at them. Even then it was a really good time teleporting enemies to their death

@redd214 I’ll stipulate that no other game comes close to the highly-polished shooting…..I also agree there’s lots of fun to be had there.

And you play Destiny w/your kids. That’s an awesome experience to have and I’m totally jealous. I haven’t had a friend group for Destiny since the first game.

You’re only diagnosing one part of the problem though when you nuked the PvP community up there.

What about Gambit? The mode that Bungie left to die? What about the fact that Bungie recently said (in no uncertain terms) it’s too difficult and costly to make new Ritual armor every season?, but it’s not an issue to drown an entire tab of The Director with Eververse and an endless parade of costly ornaments?
What about the fact that on the whole the cost of this game has gone up while we’ve gotten less and less?

I understand where you’re coming from. But to say that it’s the Destiny PvP community doing all the groaning is a bit out-of-touch with where we are presently. It’s everyone, across the board. There is general dissatisfaction with Destiny 2 across the board. But the vocal portion is just a drop in the bucket of the playerbase, so I don’t know where we go from here.

That all said, I’m re-downloading the whole thing back onto ps5 rn bc witch queen is free on plus lol

I ended up getting into the spirit of QuakeCon and I picked up Quake for ps5 and Quake 2 for ps5. Such good boomer shooters.

Also ended up picking up the original Dying Light with all the groceries for 10 bucks. Playing that rn and it’s silky smooth

Glad I didn’t buy Witch Queen on ps… I guess? Throwing expansions out as full game additions is kinda trash.

I was pumped for it and then found out its gonna be 50 bucks. Just a bit too high. Will probably get it once it gets to 20-30

RDR is my fave game of all time possibly. I’ll be buying this and playing happily.

I was supposed to pick up an extra shift today but in typical fashion the supervisor texted me at 330 am, 30 mins before the shift begins to inform me that OT is off the table for all us hourly peons. :/
So I’m watching some episodes of Kosmographia and playing various shooters (mostly first person, mostly COD 4 Remastered on ps5)..
Also debating whether I should begin Aliens: Dark Descent, restart my nascent initial play through of Resi 4 Remake or delve into Dying Light 2. Happy weekend to all of you

I remember thinking the combat was horrible during my first hour or two with W3. Then out of nowhere it all just clicked.

Easily my favorite rpg of all time, warts n all.

I watched episodes 1-4 yesterday. It’s fine. Good for putting on and doing a chore here and there. You can easily walk away for a few minutes and.not feel the need to rewind

Black Ops 2 TDM. Well that’s the goal. I imagine at least 1/3 of that time will be spent backing out of matches where people are killing me through walls. From across the map. In the air.

Will happily skip this years iteration in favor of playing all the older CODs that just had the multiplayer fixed.

@ceedj would you recommend Hogwarts to someone who hasn’t seen the movies or watched the books? A work buddy of mine is gushing about the game and I’m intrigued.

I finished up the campaign in Diablo IV yesterday, got my Sorc to lvl 51. I ended up rolling a Rogue for s1, played a bit. None of the cosmetics on the battle pass are calling my name, so I will probably put it on the back burner for a bit.

After hearing that the servers on the older COD titles have been fixed i also jumped into some MW2 mp on my Xbox. Really good time! I’m probably going to give World at War a go a bit later today, hopefully the lobbies are populated nicely.

Mostly just Diablo 4. I was playing a whole bunch of Destiny 2 recently but when I got together with the clan I was running with to do some raids it reminded me why I’m not much into comms or parties while gaming. As soon as one of the guys started telling me I needed to change pieces of armor and such I shut the game off and uninstalled. I think I’ve finally had my fill of Destiny after 7-8 years.
Booting up Diablo 4 instantly scratched the looter itch for me. So it’ll be D4 for the foreseeable future with other single player games mixed in. I’m thinking I’ll go with Resi 4 Remake first.
Also eager for Exoprimal…Capcom has had a Midas touch lately, here’s hoping it’s going to extend to this new IP.

@themightyant I never got all the way through even once. I’d get past a couple bosses and then not sure what happened. I may have just shifted focus to another game.

I really enjoy the way the game feels to play though. Smoothest rogue style game I’ve ever played, anyhow!

@frankmcma man I feel you on there being zero power fantasy. My first Diablo was 3, so I am totally unused to how the real Diablo games play.

It became pretty clear to me early on that I’m going to have to actually think about how I’m building this toon out. Wasn’t expecting that.

Excellent game though and I’m having a good time, even with being terrible at it.
