@ChrisDeku I'm only saying that because Ubisoft already made a lot of blunders when it comes to this game, remember the tori gate controversy? They oughta be more careful.
Because I'm pretty sure they'll change the date again once the internet realizes the supposed release date coincides with the anniversary of a terrorist attack in Japan.
How to set it appart from Starship Troopers? Well, ST is famous because it is so over the top that it almost leans on comedy territory while it still mantains the action and the commentary on fascism...
That is kinda difficult to get nowadays because, to put it bluntly, current scriptwriters have no talent for this kind of nuance. Helldivers movie will either be a straight comedy or a straight action movie.
@Neverwild Gamers wouldn't need to look for an agenda if games nowadays didn't have one.
It also doesn't help the fact that most DEI games aren't the best examples of good games but the exact opposite of that, they are prime examples of what a bad game looks like.
BMW was not the first game having problems with Series weird architecture and it will not be the last one.
The main problem here is that Microsoft chose a weird route when it came to hardware. Series S promotes itself as having 10GB of unified memory, but its actually 8GB@224GB/s + 2GB@56GB/s 8GB of unified RAM doesn't cut anymore, even on PC that has dedicated RAM and VRAM you need at least 16GB of RAM and at least 12GB of VRAM to run the most recent games at 1080p/1440p.
@S1ayeR74 You do know that software isn't listed to shareholders as profit until they really turn to profit right? No matter if its God of War or Concord, they are all listed as loss and usually remains like that for a couple of years after release.
@johnedwin They could, but they would lose money on other stuff if they did that. It would render Sony Music Japan basically incapable of working in the anime industry, which is a huge chunk of their revenue and profit.
Makes sense from a technical standpoint. They want Kadokawa because its a trove of IPs, however if they buy Kadokawa they might have to give up their spot in most production committees around Japan.
Another way to read that statement is: "We got our a** handed on a silver plate by a 2014 tablet and can't find any way to be competitive on this market anymore, we simply give up, we'll just release games everywhere to make money and tell people that supported our brand that any device they play our games can be called an Xbox"
@__jamiie Sony does not own a monopoly because the anime industry in Japan is basically composed of joint ventures. A committee is responsible for making an anime and members of said committee can't do more than one task.
If Sony buys Kadokawa means that they could act as either the IP holder, music producer, distributor in Japan or distributor overseas, but they have to chose one of those.
The AI boogeeyman strikes again. Its just a promo piece that will be used once and never again, AI exists exactly for that, otherwise they would need to spend around 50k just for that piece to be ready.
Ain't Ybarra the mole Microsoft planted to make ActBlizz acquisition easier?
Anyways, there is a thing called archetype, dunno if Mike ever heard of it, most characters are based on one and it just happens both Widows are the same archetype, femme fatale Also, if we are talking about femme fatale spies with a sniper rifle, Sniper Wolf from MGS predates both.
As much as I want it to stay, I also know there might be a cost involved in it. In this case, I will guess it will add on QA cost since now every firmware/OS update you'll have to QA this part too to see if it isn't broken.
@Loamy Most works in Japan are run by production commitees since the mid-80s Also, its not a written rule but usually if a company handles the distribution inside Japan they let other company handle the international release.
Case in point, Aniplex does not handle most of international releases from the shows they are part, one example is My Hero Academia where Aniplex is part of the production committee but Toho handles the international distribution.
Sony has yet to understand that people overall don't like Horizon as much as they like, say, God of War.
Lego God of War would sell numbers just for the novelty. If we are talking about Sony IPs compatible with Lego, then it would be better to make a Astro Bot like game, one that pays homage to multiple franchises instead of just one.
So, let me get this straight, you're telling me the same people who did Division, Avatar and other games with stealth elements can't fix stealth in this game and decided to remove it as a requirement for certain quests?
DNA for me and DNA for U.
Dad jokes aside, I ain't surprised to see AMD powering both devices, but I might say I think Nvidia might be a better pick for a handheld
@PuppetMaster Or it could be not related to games at all
People often forget that Sony owns Aniplex, which helps in anime production, and that Kadokawa is the main client of Aniplex. Getting FromSoftware is just a bonus, the money is at Kadokawa's anime portfolio.
The fact that they chose to do this on a day Phil was running his mouth trying to do basic PR to remind people Xbox kinda still exists does bring a smile on my face.
@mrmartinrohr Keyword here being could. It isn't a PS Studio title nor it is made by one, this is the first title of a studio that has been doing basically support work for other games. I wouldn't expect them to receive a Pro devkit in order to develop those features, too much risk involved for a title that isn't worth the trouble.
Why do I get the feeling this was more of a political ban than anything else? Auto-pops do not generate a ban, I know that because I poped a couple of games when I first got my PS5, and if they found nothing was amiss then why remove the guy from the partnership program?
As much as I dislike social media, to the point last account I got was a facebook one back in 2014, gotta say that this whole wave of bans is more political than anything.
They don't care about children at all, they care about people realizing there are more political views than what the government allows you to have.

Re: Dynasty Warriors: Origins (PS5) - Peak Dynasty Warriors Is Back with an Almighty Bang
Framerate dips aren't a con, it is literally a game mechanic at this point in point.
It isn't a musou game if your fps doesn't tank.

If it ever gets released you mean right?
Because I'm pretty sure they'll change the date again once the internet realizes the supposed release date coincides with the anniversary of a terrorist attack in Japan.
Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Delayed Again, Now Out 20th March
Why does Ubisoft hates Japan this much?
They are releasing the game in same date the Tokyo Subway Sarin Attack turns 30.
Re: Industry Journalist Says Xbox Game Pass Does Increase Premium Sales, But Mainly on PS5
Can doesn't mean it will.
It really depends on the game, an indie publisher might get hurt with the loss of revenue.
Also, one fun fact: releasing on PS5 and PC D1 also increases the chances of sale for both platforms.
Re: Horizon Hatred Simmers Once More As Sony Announces Movie Adaptation
I think its less of a Horizon hate and more of an Aloy hate.
They could try a Horizon spin-off with a new protagonist not related in any shape or form with Aloy just to see if it works.
Re: Gaming Colossus Tencent Added to US Blacklist, Accused of Ties to Chinese Military
It won't affect them because they are a Chinese company, but it would be another whole story if it was a company from another country, mainly Russia.
How do I know that? Well, ask Deepcool, just by being involved with a russian company they got banned.

Ok, this one has potential, lets just hope they do a CDProjekt and let the japanese team handle this one.
Re: Sony's Bringing Horizon Zero Dawn to the Big Screen with Live Action Movie Adaptation
Given the performance of the Uncharted and GT movie, and considering any collabs with this IP are also kinda on the low side of sales...
I will set the bar to the ground and my expectation to lowest possible.

Re: PS3 Games Could One Day Get Emulated on PS5
Full fledged emulation on PS and Nintendo consoles, as in you pop your old game in the disc drive and play, is impossible due to many factors.
I'd settle for individual games if they ever manage to solve the problems.

Monopoly is almost impossible, production and licensing are managed by a committee not by a single company.

Honestly? I hope it goes through.
Sony Music Entertainment Japan has been a solid branch so far and I don't think they can mismanage Kadokawa's IPs.
Re: 74% of PS5 Fans Would Be Interested in a Handheld

PS titles run on Steam Deck quite well so I guess it wouldn't be that hard to make a good native version that runs on a 900p screen.
