The fact that the slapped the title 'Remastered' on it means that there isn't gonna be an upgrade path to it. Probably gonna charge 39.99 or 49.99 for it.
I have a feeling they're gonna push hard this showcase to make up for the pricing debacle on HZD. What I'm wondering is if theyre gonna make more promises that, in a year from now we're gonna look back and say that they've misled the community again. Seems like the characteristic of the current crop of PlayStation leadership. They don't seem to have an idea on what they want to do this gen. Would like to be proved wrong but time will tell
Can't really be arsed anymore with COD games. From the issues in gameplay (cheaters etc.), the way they manage their game size and how they automatically delete parts of your game every time an update gets released. Absolute nightmare with their software management.
@get2sammyb This isn't an elementary mistake from a team of inexperienced people from a small company, rather they're being very EA and trying to see where they can push the fan base. Jim Ryan himself has changed his stance as many times as a politician would.
I'm glad they reversed this decision but still disagree with the 10$ upgrade to ps5. Firstly it's a cross gen game and they need to justify the price increase. GoT Directors Cut was a good example of how it wasn't justified
@Yomogi don't you see. This seems like a pretty calculated move from Playstation to make these games cross gen and then have this non-upgrade model. It's a disgustingly greedy model cause if you had a PS4 now (like majority of their player base) and bought the standard edition of the at launch, and then you manage to get your hands on a ps5 (a newer and more expensive piece of kit), you're gonna have to buy the game again. Sony has made you double dip into your wallet for the same game.
Then some might say, then just go for the digital deluxe, well the standard edition of the game in Germany is priced on the PS store at 69.99€ for the PS4 version, 79.99€ for the ps5 version and 89.99€ for the digital deluxe. Essentially from PS4 you're paying a 10€ premium just to be able to automatically update. That's including the so-called 10€ ps5 upgrade.
Its massively confusing for us, the gamers but not so for Sony
@rawzeku this is exactly my frustration. These top dogs at PlayStation have, I'm not gonna sugar coat it, LIED several times now on what they're gonna deliver in software. They promise one thing during the reveal and then months later they change it completely. Similar with GT7 and God of War. Claimed during the PS5 reveal that it was gonna be PS5 exclusives and slowly slipped in that it was gonna be cross gen this year.
Really hope they pay for this in a few years. It won't come now but hopefully people start seeing it and start punishing them with their wallets.
Something I might pick up when it's in a deep sale like I did FC5. Enjoyed the NPC and dumb AI, thought it was hilarious but the gameplay loop is....well...ubisoft
@TheGrizMan yeah I have to agree with you that buying the new hardware this year has not had much advantages. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed playing Days Gone, God of War and GoT in BC+ and even Returnal but I really don't expect anything mind blowing until 2023. I say that cause games like the new God of War, new Horizon and even GT7 are all cross gen games. Which is frustrating jumping to new hardware knowing those games won't be fully utilising the hardware, although Sony hinted otherwise when announcing those games. Then we have things like being charged 10 bucks extra for ps5 upgrade on the Directors Cut of GoT which is frustrating. I digress...
@Bamila well I get it mate, but that's the definition of competition ain't it. As a consumer, I look on the other side and think to myself, that's worth a lot more than what I'm paying now. I was hoping Sony will up their game a little but their messaging has been all over the shop. Was hoping after the turd that was the games last month, they would come back with something worth while
I'm really considering cancelling my PS Plus account, getting an Xbox series S and Game Pass. As a consumer I don't feel that I'm getting my moneys worth from Sony at all this generation...
@nessisonett I would love to give the game a try but you make a compelling point. Why put money in their pockets when they had the audacity to release the game in that state.
I see people commenting on the showcase but that's besides the point. I think from a consumer perspective of which 95% of us are, it is a fantastic deal that all exclusives and many 3rd party games are day 1 included with Game Pass.
Personally, I feel that Microsoft is gonna draw a lot of "on the fence" consumers to Xbox for this reason. Whether Sony really needs to react to this is to be seen. Maybe for a start, figure out how to merge PS Now and PS Plus. Also, just throwing it out there as an idea, why not charge lesser for PS Exclusives to undercut 3rd Party games and make it attractive to go PlayStation over xbox.

Re: Sony Introduces Game Trials, Try PS5 Games for a Limited Time
Great idea with Sony adding their signature touch to it and rendering it useless. Timer starts from download time? How silly
Re: PS Plus October 2021 PS5, PS4 Games Announced
I think Hell Let Loose has some pretty interesting ideas and I'll give it a try. Also, I'm sure some might be cool with PGA Tour but Mortal Kombat X??

Definitely excited for GT7. Probably the only game I'll pick up at launch next year

Up yours Sony. I'll wait a couple of years and get it in a sale

Just waiting for Sony to charge us 10 bucks extra for the ps5 version for zombie lip-sync.
On a side note, am also waiting for an uncharted 4 ps5 patch. Come on Naughty Dog...

@nomither6 😂😂
Ever since MW19, I loathe Activision so much that I'm even considering to buy Battlefield 2042 from freaking EA.

Re: PS Plus March 2020 PS4 Games Announced
Personally disappointed cause I bought and played Shadow of the Colossus last year so theres nothing I would be playing from the list.
Otherwise would classify it as a solid month.
