It's disappointing. I play mostly exclusive single payer stuff, but when I play online with my casual buddies, we always play Call of Duty. They play TONS of it. They don't listen to gaming podcasts, or look at pushsquare for example, so they may not even know about this news. However if they just dropped $700 on their new playstation only to find out they likely wont be able to play the only game they ever even play in the future... they will be devistated after waiting so long to even get their hands on a PS5. Just a bummer all around

Likely will be let down, but it's hard to dislike Geoff. I think he works super hard at gaining attention to the industry. No one else is stepping up to do the things he is doing, so respect to him.

@AFCC His Sacred Symbols podcast is fantastic, and he quite often cites and praises pushsquare. I've been a patron of Last Stand Media for almost a year now, well worth it for Colin's unfiltered opinions and knowledge alone

I for one am very pumped for this. Wish this was a more common medium for bands to use in interesting ways such as this. Not the same, but I loved when Tool did their own artwork animations etc in Guitar Hero/rockband way back when

@somnambulance Blackout was awesome, and I think of it often. I miss popping a sensor dart on a chopper, or a trophy on a vehicle. Good times

Lots of people calling the company douchebags etc. I for one think their marketing angle is quite genius (and hilarious). Pretty impressed with how quick they bounced back with a new design.

i'll give the switch to frostbite the benefit of the doubt. Haven't bought NHL in years due to the same old year in, year out... but a new engine could be refreshing. Perhaps I'll pick it up! Just wish EA also developed NHL for PC players as well, but understand the demand simply isn't there for hockey games.

Optimistic on how it will look on the frostbite engine! Pretty exciting to go from having small studio annual golf games to 2 massive triple A annual golf games (assume annual?). Now if EA would only develop NHL to use frostbite... too small of market I assume
