Re: Xbox to Blame for The Outer Worlds 2's Devastating $80 PS5 Price Point

Aniscape

I just can’t keep up anymore…and i don’t mean the price point. 25 years ago i could go months if not longer to get the next great game that resonated with me personally and that allowed me to try other games and try different things while i waited. Today feels like every day there is something new in all categories that when i am ready to buy the next game there is little room for experimenting with things outside my comfort zone. Makes me sad and wonder how anyone makes money making games today.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Oblivion Remastered?

Aniscape

I gave it a 9. I rushed through the main story and some side content as i had never completed the original and now that i am playing the second play through i am taking my time and enjoying just being an adventure in these lands. The beauty of the world is fantastic. I have to stop and stare from time to time to time.

I am having so much fun just living in a world that has lots to do and see. It is just fun to be in and experience things by chance 🤓

Re: Ghost of Yotei Has the 'Biggest Map' and 'Greatest Freedom' of Any Sucker Punch Game

Open world games similar to Assassin’s Creed design should not be much bigger than the original GoT. There is only so much fun collecting things can be before turning into gotta get them all cause my OCD kicked in.

Now Open world games like Elder Scrolls the bigger the better. These give you a natural progression to the map as you explore. It is more quests that are fun that bring you to new areas and if you decide to explore and find something on your own not because you are trying to get all the map markers.

Cheese for everyone!

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Oblivion Remastered?

So far I am enjoying it! Never finished it in the original.

My only complaint is the lip syncing, at times it almost feels like that orange from you tube where the persons mouth is added to the orange…just weird. Thankfully they added the option not to zoom into conversations so that alleviates it somewhat. Minor gripe.

Sword and shield plays a lot better and enjoying the combat more now.

Re: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Won't Let You Control Companion Characters

Aniscape

After reading some comments on here i am not sure what the fuss is about. It sounds like you control your main only outside of battle. Which for me is what I was hoping. If I am rook then I play as rook and the companions are with you. Once battle starts you can pause and play as much as you want to order your companion actions, set up skill chains between them and rook.

You have the option to be as involved as you want when it matters…combat. Outside of combat what is the point? Want to be a tank then change the skills of rook to do so. Want to heal more…the same. Then manage your battles.

Personally this is sounding really good for me. As for Ai during battles i will say that FFXIV does such an amazing job with the ai during dungeons that sometimes it is more fun running a dungeon with the AI team then actual people especially when doing a run for the first time. Get to learn the basics on the bosses and then run your daily with real people.

I am super excited for Veilgaurd the more iI hear about it!

Re: Dragon Age: The Veilguard's In-Depth Difficulty Settings Even Have a No Death Option

Single player offline games should have all the options. When you buy a game it is you and your personal experience with the game. Want it hard…turn it up. In no way will my experience with the game impact others with however i set my settings to. The more accessible the more customers will play hence potential of a game being successful and studio creating more games.

A game like Elden Ring is a bit tougher cause it does have online components however there could be an online and offline mode and the offline have extra options that do not impact the online portion.

At the end of the day it is up to the developers and the consumer to decide if they should buy. Elden ring i bought and enjoyed a good 80 hours worth but never beat it. And that is ok for me. However knowing what elden ring is i chose not to get the expansion.

It is a tough call and i respect both ways. But i will say for me personally as I am getting older, getting good does not have to be for every game.

Re: PlayStation Likely to Go All-Digital By PS7, Analyst Predicts

Here is where i think it’s going…Company save on costs of disc drives and increase hard drive capacity. Games can be purchased online for download and add a flash drive for regions or users do not have access to internet. They can purchase the flash drive and upload to console. Updates can be made available in flash option as they can be really cheap pending size. There you have it. No more discs with an option to still get the game and cheap to produce. Also without a disc drive maybe all future consoles will be more like switch and be console/handheld hybrids…my 2 cents 🫣

Re: FromSoftware Boss Puts Elden Ring Difficulty Discourse to Bed, Once and For All

Aniscape

My biggest gripe is not difficulty. It is lore management. If i have to keep track of quests and info that has been given me in a notebook outside the game or google the area the quest needs to go to or when you find something and then where was the quest giver for this item? My memory is not what it was and i like to play multiple games. If there is a Elden Ring sequel or spiritual successor that would be one of my biggest requests. A lore and quest journal. Just a way to refresh your memories on the lore you have discovered, what you have completed and what you are working on would go a long way. When i play a game it is me and the game. The moment i have to step outside the gameworld because i may or may not know where to go pulls me away. No problem with the difficulty i just want to stay connected to the experience 🥰

Re: PS5, PS4's Brand New PS2 Emulator Features Up-Rendering, Rewind, Quick Saves, More

@Vaako007
Thanks! Being as old as I am (first system was the 2600 when I was 8) sometimes you just want to boot up the games you grew up with and those memories start flowing back! Ps3 was a great generation, for me PS2 is my biggest collection especially for JRPGs. Fun fact first game i got for PS2 was Spyhunter and I still pop it in at least once or twice a year to this day. Music from Saliva was great. The sequels were bad but the first was nice and arcady and just fun.
