We can't compare the indie market between 2008 and 24. Back then there was a handful of indie simple games like this and castle crashers. Nowadays there are videos of best Indies games of July 2024!!! and the games are not common between the videos, an overkill

I believe ps4 was more successful than ps5 in terms of games that ps fans love, not the new generation of kids that only love pvp

@Dadou wow Shadow Man maybe the 1st 3D metroidvania before the term existed. I can remember on that time reviewers were blaming it for having to go back and forth to a same lcation duringvthe gameplay but now praising such games! All was great except its utterly stupid ending. Anyway, it has a special place in my heart along with the entire Legacy of Kain series

My comment may be irrelevant but this article took me to more than two decades back when Enix didn't want to merge with Square for a period of time due to the financial stuff happened and my hopes of Sony to acquire Square back then after successful relationship between the two in the PS1 era. Sigh... it never happened

Also, nowadays advertising is among the top factors to get the average customers hyped to buy the game so that the developers survive for the next project. Just have a look at so many of them lost their jobs because of poor sales

I always say Puppeteer and Tearaway should’ve been or should come to Switch as well. Esp Puppeteer got lost with a poor decision on when an where to release. It's still the most hidden gem imo
