Dredge PS5

$9.99/£7.99 (-60%)

The best thing about Dredge is its ingenious core concept. Playing as a hard-working fisherman, it's your job to go out into the open waters, catch fish, then sell them to fishmongers for a tidy sum. Using the money you earn and the resources you find, you'll slowly upgrade your trawler to become a more capable vessel. This would be enough on its own to provide a good time, but the spooky twist means there's a near-constant sense of, well, dread. As you progress, more and more eldritch horrors will present themselves, challenging your impulse to fish into the night by creeping you out with weird visions and inexplicable dangers. An eerie game that reels you in with its moreish gameplay loop.

Fantasian Neo Dimension PS5

$19.99/£19.99 (-60%)

Fantasian Neo Dimension evokes memories of classic Final Fantasy. It's got an impeccable soundtrack, beautiful locales, and a world that inspires wonder. But it's let down a little by likeable but fiercely archetypal characters and a by-the-numbers story, and it's let down a lot by wild and uneven difficulty spikes that make combat a source of constant frustration in the second half of the adventure. Even with its flaws, however, there are few RPGs quite like this one — genre fans will want to give this a look.

Gears of War: Reloaded PS5

$15.99/£15.99 (-60%)

One of the most iconic Xbox franchises ever lands on PS5 with somewhat of a graphical thud. On its second remaster, Gears of War: Reloaded won’t impress visually. However, with a campaign that still has something to offer despite its dated design, and an excellent multiplayer mode on top, this is a welcome introduction to the Gears of War series. 20 years later, the game that started it all is still more than worth playing.

Gorogoa PS4

$3.74/£2.99 (-75%)

If you're after a unique puzzle game, stop reading about Gorogoa and play it. This intelligent and wonderfully crafted puzzler has you viewing and manipulating framed images in a variety of brilliantly clever ways. It's the definition of short but sweet, providing you with a couple of hours of novel, engrossing headscratchers that'll have you smiling at their genius and simplicity.

Hades 2 PS5

$20.99/£17.49 (-30%)

The original Hades was already a triumph in the roguelike action genre, and Supergiant Games somehow managed to outdo itself with the sequel. Hades 2 is a brilliant refinement of the fast-paced dungeon crawling from the original, and it throws in a boatload of new features and improvements. Melinoe has access to a wide range of new weapons as well as additional perks and buffs, there are not one but two pathways to conquer, and so much more — including a great cast of characters and gorgeous presentation.

Halls of Torment PS5

$7.49/£5.99 (-25%)

Halls of Torment is a wildly addictive roguelite bullet heaven game. Built on the same core idea as Vampire Survivors, you guide a character through treacherous environments filled with hostiles, and as you fend them off, you'll quickly level up and become super powerful. The main point of difference is its presentation, which is heavily inspired by old PC games like Diablo, and it's really effective. A great time waster.

Halo: Campaign Evolved PS5

$39.99/£39.99 (-20%)

Halo: Campaign Evolved has brought back a true classic in style, faithfully remaking and expanding one of the best shooters of all time. With bonus missions that feel like they’ve always been there, expertly slotting into the original Halo experience, Campaign Evolved presents an incredible package of old and new that’s never looked better.

Immortals Fenyx Rising PS5

$5.99/£3.49 (-90%)

Developed primarily by the team that crafted the gigantic Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Immortals Fenyx Rising is an open world fantasy RPG with an emphasis on fluid combat and puzzle solving. You play as the customisable Fenyx — a hero tasked with ridding the realm of a corruption spread by Typhon — a key figure in Greek mythology. In fact, Immortals is heavily based on Greek myth, but the story's told through humorous character interactions and offbeat narration. As such, it can be a fun adventure for players of all ages.

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes PS5

$12.49/£9.49 (-50%)

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes is a fascinating, surreal web of puzzles that feels great to unpick. You explore a mysterious hotel, with every room presenting you with locked doors and a host of environmental oddities to figure out. Presented in black and white (with the occasional streak of hot pink), this is a striking puzzle adventure that goes far deeper than you might expect.

Lost Judgment PS5

$11.99/£9.99 (-80%)

A sequel to superb detective thriller Judgment, Lost Judgment doesn't quite hit the dizzying highs of its predecessor in terms of storytelling and character development, but it's still a great action RPG. Packed with intense plot twists and carried by an excellent cast, Lost Judgment is a typical Yakuza-style thrill ride — but it's actually the ridiculous amount of impressively varied side content that drives Yagami's sophomore case. An expanded, satisfying combat system is worthy of note as well.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PS5

$27.99/£34.99 (-60%/-50%)

Insomniac Games delivers an ultra-fun sequel in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Refining pretty much everything that came before while delivering another rollicking superhero story, this is about as solid a follow-up as you could hope for. While it'll be fairly familiar if you've played the other games, new features tip it over the edge. The Web Wings are a huge boon for traversal, combat has been smartly refined, and the side content is more meaningful. It's a real crowd-pleaser, and is another shiny jewel in Sony's PS5 crown.
