This author's spent a lot of this week on the periphery, as Robert Ramsey helmed HMS Push Square for the majority of the past seven days. However, your humble host has been keeping abreast of the headlines, which included an Uncharted 4 delay and official confirmation of a new PlayStation 4 firmware update. Our biggest story in terms of traffic, though? Dragon Ball XenoVerseagain.

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number - 8/10

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is certainly worth giving a go if you revel in action and the thrill of risk/reward situations. While newcomers may be left in the dark, fans of the first game will most likely complete it feeling pleased and satisfied. All things considered, Dennaton Games' second Hotline outing isn't quite as spectacular as it could have been – thanks to some flaws in its level design – but that isn't enough to make it anything less than great.

DmC: Devil May Cry - Definitive Edition - 8/10

DmC: Devil May Cry - Definitive Edition is one of the more thoughtful remasters on the PS4, and its emphasis on modifiers means that you can more or less tailor the experience to your tastes. We're still not sure whether old-school Devil May Cry fans will allow themselves to enjoy Ninja Theory's take on the series, but many of the tweaks have been designed with those outspoken individuals in mind. For everyone else, the Cambridge-based company's confident take on Capcom's character action classic is well worth playing – and even if its previous generation hallmarks are still present, its upscaled visuals and boosted framerate make this particular edition heaven sent.

Feature: These Are Sony's 2015 PS4 Exclusives Now That Uncharted 4's Been Delayed

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has been delayed, and there's a soggy bit in the centre of the office carpet where every Push Square staffer has had a little sob. As we reported yesterday, though, this is not the end of the world: Naughty Dog will surely use the additional time effectively, and it's ultimately going to result in a better game. Of course, with Nathan Drake's anticipated escapade still some way away, you may be wondering what else Sony has in store for the PlayStation 4. Well, we've compiled a list. A few things worthy of note: we're only including SCE published titles here, so the likes of Dragon Quest Heroes don't count. We also don't have a crystal ball, so this list is accurate as of its publication date – expect more titles to be announced (and some to be delayed) over the course of the year.

Feature: What's New in PS4 Firmware Update 2.50?

There's one thing that you should know about running a PlayStation website: you never, ever get a rest. After a long, hard day at the office – moving into the 14th hour now – this author was looking forward to some sleep, but alas, the platform holder has confirmed firmware update v2.50. There's, er, no rest for the wicked. Fortunately, a lot of this information has already leaked, so it won't take us long to run through the new features of 'Yukimura', which is what the platform holder's dubbing this new update. It's named after an ancient samurai warrior, for those not up on their Japanese history. As for a release date – well, the manufacturer's simply saying "soon" for now. Here are the features that have made the cut.

PS4 Exclusive Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Has Been Delayed into Spring 2016

Wow, this is big. Originally expected later this year, Naughty Dog has announced that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will deploy in Spring 2016, meaning that the next chapter in Nathan Drake's escapade is still over a year away. The game was being billed as Sony's big exclusive for 2015, but will likely leave some people pondering what's going on internally – especially seeing as the system's arguably yet to receive its first must-own, first-party game.

Titanfall 2 Mechs Its Way to PlayStation 4

Titanfall 2 is in development, and it will release on the PlayStation 4. At least, that's according to Respawn Entertainment gaffer Vince Zampella, who was speaking with IGN ahead of the BAFTA Game Awards, which are scheduled to take place in London later tonight. The first game in the series launched on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC – but the ex-Infinity Ward executive seemed frustrated that behind closed doors business deals had blocked a PlayStation release. It doesn't look like that'll be happening again.

February 2015 NPD: PS4 Is Best Selling Console as The Order: 1886 Charts

Strong sales of the New Nintendo 3DS – coupled with a handful of major software launches – saw Sony lose its spot atop the United States hardware charts in February, but it still managed to keep hold of its console crown. According to the latest NPD report, the PlayStation 4 was the best selling console nationwide last month – and it also moved more software than all of its competitors, too.

Homefront: The Revolution Will Be a PS4 Best Seller in 2016

It may feel like it's gone delay crazy over the past few days, but it's no surprise to see Homefront: The Revolution pushed into 2016. Regular readers will recall the game being announced by THQ many moons ago, before it was picked up by Deep Silver. However, financial problems at Crytek prompted the latter company to form a new developer named Dambuster Studios, which is now working on finishing the game. Unsurprisingly, after all of that drama, it's not going to be ready on time.

Mortal Kombat X Gets Hit with a Deadly Delay on PS3

Okay, for starters, we apologise for the terrible tagline, but worse things can happen, as evidenced by the news that Mortal Kombat X is being delayed on the PlayStation 3.
