inFAMOUS: Second Son may lack the electrical superpowers of its predecessors, but that’s not stopped it from amping up the excitement surrounding the PlayStation 4. Industry publication MCV reports that sales of Sony’s next-gen system surged by 106 per cent in the UK last week, which was no doubt partially propelled by the availability of actual stock at most retailers.
While it’s borderline impossible to garner anything meaningful from this statistic, it’s safe to assume that the Japanese giant sold some systems on the back of Sucker Punch’s superhero sequel. In fact, some pundits speculate that it’s actually already reclaimed its place at the top of the British hardware charts – a position that it’s likely to hold onto until supply inevitably runs dry again.
