I can accept Astro Bot being the GoTY because it really is a very refreshing, creative and uniquely fun experience.

But 7th for Rebirth?! Nope, way too low.

I have to admit that I'm so surprised that I like this game more than I can ever imagine.

Tried it first and thought it wasn't my game; then I went back to it mysteriously and sank hours of my precious gaming time on it.

The country is filled with such extremists and people who play Genshin Impact would have experienced it.

@Decimateh-xblz Absolutely. Its remastered version is often on sale on different platforms.

The game barely ages due to its unique gameplay mechanics, timeless art and endearing characters.

The last time that I was THIS emotional over a game announcement is FF7R.

He even resurrected his old studio for this game. Man...😭

@themightyant Yes! I was so emotionally partly because I was completely taken by surprise. The rumors of other great games having been around for a while.

I LOVE how they acknowledge Mario and Nintendo.

It really touches me and it also shows they really are gamers making great games that people love.

I almost cried when I saw the teaser and who will be making it. After all these years...

TGA is already one of the most fun awards to watch compared to the self-important & self-righteous/virtual-signalling Hollywood awards.

I have been playing it for 15min and gotta admit that the clothes, accessories and hairstyles are so beautiful and the game is really chill.

Not the type of game to play for long but I don't wonder why it's popular.

Waiting for the full release + I want to see if the sequel still feel like a second job.

I hate games that are complicated for the sake of being complicated to take up people's time.

I grew up with Nintnendo but I still remember how I loved to go over to my cousin's place to play his PS1.

Those were such great times.

My answers for most questions are cycling among Astro Bot, FF7 Rebirth, Stellar Blade and Metaphor Refantazio.

@naruball BG3 is successful not because it's woke; it's successful because it's a great game first and it's not trying hard to push agendas at the expense of the product.

@8bit4Life I love this game too despite its flaws.

It proves that we don't need perfect games but creative ways of playing an old genre.

My favorite gaming device is still Switch despite having PS5.

Only if Sony didn't abandon PSP...

I finally got Diablo 4 with expansion at almost half the price. The game is finally worth playing more than a year after launch and 1 expansion.

This is the problem of many AAA games nowadays...

FF7R gets my vote but I think it will be Astro Bot.

And I think Stellar Blade deserves a nomination.

I don't like the game (not gonna buy it) but I don't want Ubisoft to be wiped from the market.

At the end of the day, competition is healthy and the more players there are in the industry, the more likely that players will get something great once a while.

Love this unique game and I'm still waiting for the DLC to finish the story...

I wish it allows button remapping and may be slightly more polished graphics/environment in dungeon.

Other than these minor issues, I really can't think of any complaint.

Likeable characters are like those from Expedition 33.

These don't look likeable at all. Yes, people sometimes CAN judge a book from the cover and we do this all the time with pretty high accuracy.

Metaphor goes in my list of GOTY. It's so hard to choose one this year.

@CutchuSlow You need to level up the lower tiers to be able to transfer the levels to higher tier.

The consensus is to only transfer levels at max level of the lower tier to get the most out or your resources. As it's much more efficient since you will get way more mats to level up greens than blues. Btw, you'll get 3 levels on a blue from the maxed green and it's also destroyed in the process. The same logic goes for blues to purples.

The trait transfer is a little more complicated. It's probably better to watch a video of someone explaining and demonstrating it if you'd prefer to not experiment and waste the resources.

And yes, the game does poorly in explaining how the system works to new players. Hence the impression, like the review, of how the game is shallow and not fun.

@CutchuSlow Open Lithograph to see what greens that you need to craft to exchange for the blues. This is the easiest way to get gear. While they are not the best, it's good enough for PvE.

You can also transfer levels and traits to the higher tiers.

Don't quite agree with the review other than the menu being clunky. But for someone who wants to give it a try, it's important to know whether you like the combat before jumping in. It makes all the difference.

If you like/okay with the combat system, the game scratches an itch that no other MMORPG in the market is able to now. And this game is a real example of the more you play and knows the system, the better it gets.

Both are my GOTY, I really can't decide. :/

This might just be me but if a game is quality production and worth supporting, I even go out of my way to purchase it at full price even if I may not have the time to finish.

It's not that there isn't incentive to buy games at lauch; there's no incentive to buy Ubisoft games at launch.

Games like Astro Bot, Stellar Blade, Black Myth Wukong, Baldur's Gate 3, FF16, FF7 Rebirth and a bunch of other games are absolutely worth the price at launch.

Astro Bot in the sea of Nintendo games and funnily enough, it's the most Nintendo-like games that exists on PS in the last few years.

So do I.
But I'm willing to part a portion of mine because you and your characters worth every cent.

I have a digital PS5 but I still think physical games should exist as the norm instead of digital.

Going full digital is a loss-loss situation for everyone, including people who play mostly digital.

@Phelaidar It was greenlit 8 years ago.

The project itself is not the problem; the decisions, including art direction, along the way are. People kept saying there's no room for the genre but it's simply not true. A good example will be souls-like games. They are supposedly the niche genre but look at how well the good ones have sold. Not to mention all the classics that people are still playing from years ago.

There is ALWAYS room for fun and attractive games.

I'm a long time Pushsquare reader and I've also noticed that the articles have become more and click-baity and sensational for... practically nothing.
It's as if they are writing contents just to trigger people for more comments and engagement. I'm really not liking the direction that this website is heading.
