I personally don't think it's a good thing if a game looks like a movie.
For sure it is impressive what can be achieved these days (Matrix Demo), but I play games do dice into another world, not reality.
Guess that's why I'm more into Fantasy Games and JRPG. Also, I think Nintendo really nails it and I hope they will never try to make a photorealistic Game!

It's funny how hard you guys try to avoid mentioning any Nintendo Title at all.
You colleagues over at NL are good sports and acknowledge each games success in their charts articles, no matter which platform. Heck, they even link the games to your reviews here!

you can get these in a couple of weeks for a friction of the price on AliExpress. And that's what these Plastic Parts are worth. By no means can this stuff cost anything near 100 bucks.

Also, my PS5 is well hidden behind my TV, so any "make up" would be a waste of money 😜

GI vs BotW: multiplatform online Multiplayer vs. Single System Singleplayer.

Also, once BotW was finished, Nintendo basically earned money with it (beside some patches). GI has to constantly add content to attract players, which costs money. Maintaining servers, patching the game on multi systems etc...
The lifetime revenue you mention is gross, not net, so we do not know how much money they actually earn (if any, but I'm sure they do!).
Also, most of their revenue is generated in China which criminally neglected by Nintendo (stupid them!) and on mobile platforms, not console.
I'm also one of the 80 MiO. registered GI players, but I only played for 2 hours or so... No time for Online anymore...

I don't want to play down the success of GI in anyway, it's impressive in any regard! Just want to comment on "the bigger game" and the revenue numbers.

I like what Devs are able to display on that device. Especially current Gen releases show, that even PS5 cannot be fully utilized if the devs to a bad job (Arkham, looking at you!). My point is.

@Logonogo I get very very strong MH Rise vibes from this one here. And Rise is not deep at all, so you can give it a try. Rise is my first MH I ever played and was not overwhelmed at all, really cool game, even for short sessions!

Not judging the Game, as I haven't played it, yet. But just by naming it Soccer + Story makes it clear that they obviously want to ride the "Golf Story" train.
And it's called Football, not Soccer!

I have ps plus essential (and it's predecessor) since the first black friday after the PS5s release., because the price was nice.
If I look back now, I actually used my limited play time 5o play new releases or games which were not provided by Plus at that time.
looking back, I played maybe 2 or 3 Games "full" and could easily buy these games cheaper physical at the time they were included in Plus...
Therefore I can fully understand if people are not really inter6in any of these tier's.
It really depends on everyone's personal situation and taste, that's it

if now they would extend the cross save function... sunk so many hours into it on Switch and would love to do a new game+ on PS5, I have no time for a fresh start anymore...

@zupertramp the big advantages of charging stations for me personally are 2 things:

1. you only need one cable for the station, not one per device.
2. usually it's way more tidy then having the controllers just lie around somewhere

@WallyWest That's probably a different understanding of "finished". As I mentioned in another comment section, for me, the location of Eivors remains was somehow the connecting ties between the times (past and present) and this part of the story is definitely not finished. therefore, for me, this is an unfinished game (which I enjoyed a lot until the end).

@AaronBayne it's not correct that the Pulse wireless function is PS5 exclusive.
I can connect the dongle to my Switch Dock and can use the Headset wirelessly. I would be surprised if this will not work for PC as well...

I like the Love they put inside this game! I hate that they never finished the main story, even almost 2 years after release.

So, why is Eivor buried in the US?! Any answers to this question, already?

Compared to many die hard AC fans, I really enjoyed my time in Englaland, it was also my first AC ever.
But it got me nearly smashing my controller into the TV at the end, not answering the question that is asked from the very beginning and is especially for new players without any AC knowledge, the only connection between past and present. This was a huge let down and I didn't go back to Valhalla, yet, didn't by any DLC until it's confirmed to get this question answered...

My bet is on PC first as consoles are still a minor thing in China. Not sure if the PS5 is officially released in China, yet. And even if so, the install base will be small compared to PC...

@Quintumply: especially when comparing old NES or whatever games to today's games, you should at least mention, that the came with a manual that explained at least the basic moves. I remember the Super Mario World manual explaining how to use the cape to fly for example.
Also, when doing the comparison you should have checked if the games show a controller layout in the options menu. If they do, then it is somehow the gamers responsibility to look it up. It's similar to a manual.

@Porco wasn't there news of a new mama game in development? Together with the 30th anniversary it kinda makes sense.
Nevertheless, I would also love to see the Chrono Series remastered and continued. Together with the mana series it's my most replayed JRPG series!

Am I the only one waiting for the DLC that will finish the story? This was the biggest bummer for me to not know, why Eivor is where she is. Open endings are ok, but at least finish the base part of the story that the whole game is build on...

@KilloWertz Which basically means, the Xbox version also is not using native 4k, yet, but just upscaling. Then it's definitely not fair to blame the developers.

@huntbearpig same here! Technically it's a 4k TV, but HDMI is too mold, so the PS5 will not let me play in 4k anyway. And I'm not willing to throw out a fine piece of hardware, yet! So 1080p for me for the next few years...

@Amylian4Games get it on steam. It's quite cheap and you can use fan made mods to change textures to high quality and some more quality of life changes. Really great! I played it on PS1 and never finished it, then finished it on Steam years later!

Really enjoyed it, even with some bugs. What completely turns me off and will be lessons learned for the next Ubisoft game is: without the DLC, this story is not finished. That's a complete no-go for me.
Not every detail need to be mentioned, but here, a complete part of the story is just missing. It's ruining the game for, as the complete setup makes absolutely no sense with this small detail.
For the price of 70€ at release this is really annoying! Will have to spend another 30€ for the season pass...

Lost Vikings is awesome in co-op and I have no idea why they did not include Lost Vikings 2...
Rock'n'Roll Racing was my favorite racing game on SNES. Played it several 100 hours with my brother!

@Vorlon you should be able to plug in 2 cards at the same time and then transfer data from card 1 to card 2. If you have two old memory cards, you can test ist first.

I have screen tearing in performance mode. It's very seldom, but if you played several hour quality mode before, you can see it. But it's not really annoying. Also, my TV has only HDMI 1.4, so not really optimiser for PS5...

@Olmaz SomInreally go and find every treasure there is? What's the point in putting the ressources scattered around the map if the game just throws them at you?
I'm not defending Micro transactions, but Valhalla really is not a bad example for MT!

@Olmaz nah, I actually do so Hause it's a set for "bear" and it's already upgraded by the black smith, so no need to spend ressources beside leather and iron. So the limit for me (personally) is not the lack of armour, but the lack of ressources and I like to spend them on my weapons instead. On top of that, I really enjoy the tattoos you can put on Eivor. If Eivor is wearing armour, you basically can't see any, so off the armour goes

If you get frustrated by microtransaction items, just don't visit the Ubisoft store and problem solved. Again, I don't have the feeling, that they push MT on you. You actually actively have to look for it...

Not sure why people are so upset about the microtransactions... It's not like they throw advertisements at you, neither are these transactions mandatory to finish the game. I'm wearing the same armor since I started the game (Twitch Prime armor), so I personally really don't get it...

@fR_eeBritney yeah I also had no issues with the talking pig. Only big I remember now is the one where you have to steal back that roman statue for the guy at your village. I was not able pick up the key from there small stool or table. Had to use the horse and kick in the door...
