There's another to compete with Xbox Game Pass, make PS+ and PS Now being tied as one subscription. I wouldn't be surprised if xcloud will also be tied in with Xbox Game Pass. To be fair, the price point of Series S for $299 sounds appealing to masses, the upgrade you could get from Xbox One S will be significant as well for as long as it'll play next-gen games on Xbox as well.
@Rob_230 you missed Halo is a launch exclusive, they've shown other title which is Hellblade and also this upcoming May 7th to showcase games running in this hardware. We don't know the internals of PS5 and console itself, they've basically shown a damn logo and a controller.
@redd214 but still, times have changed and it isn't anything the same as it was, Sony had no E3 to begin with this year and Microsoft has already moved on to showcase games, they're basically done showing the console, controller, specs, hardware-teardown and launch titles.
PS5 has to be revealed this May at least show the damn console. If Bloodborne II will be announced it'll be a day one purchase for me though it's still possible due to how From Software is almost done with Elden Ring, Miyazaki said it's up to Sony if the want to collaborate from them again.
I hope PS5 exclusive games will focus not only with third-person adventure/cinematic narrative games but some RPGs, platformers or just being fun games in general such as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Twisted Metal, Ape Escape, Legend of Dragoon, Crash/Spyro (though Activision owns them) a partnership with Japan Studio.
Targeting 4K/60 with RT seems isn't feasible to have at the same time, you have to sacrifice resolution for that. TBH, for as long as all games will have 60fps even if it has only 1080p that's still great.
@Grimwood Xbox Series X has great SSD but it's nowhere near what PS5 has achieved in terms of RAW I/O and Compression overall speed. This puts a great smile for developers of how they'll optimize and design their games in the future when you don't have to deal with very old slow HDDs and it could affect the overall speed of developing their games in terms of their schedules.
Just make a special State of Play announcement anyway to feature PS5 and games lineup, it's not that hard to make it right though unless if Sony still wants a show with lots of people will attend then it ain't happening soon.
@Natedog666 I wasn't talking about the PS4 Pro with an SSD it's even pointless you can't even have full benefits of running games on a SSD with PS4 Pro due to bottlenecks and pretty damn low bandwidth of SATA2. I was talking about the release of the PS5 to take full advantage of 4K/60 when it comes out.
PS5 SSD can fix this for you, the abyssmal HDD of both PS4/Pro has only roughly 100mb/s to stream those assets and loading textures, but with PS5 not only it can fix those texture issues but to run this game in 4K/60.
From a business perspective, it's smart where there's a lot of new potential customers will get the PS5 especially to those titles who has an inevitable sequels.
As much as I love to get a PS5, I hope they'll somehow strengthen PS Now as well, Xbox Games Pass is also one of the reason why I might get it first then PS5.
This could suggest if there's a third-party Open-world game design, PS5 might be the best choice to run it especially for RPGs or JRPGs that has a long loading times we've seen in the past or currently.
The SSD solution of PS5 is starting to make sense as to why Mark Cerny made a console for being so developer friendly. This must be the reason why developers are praising for PS5 is to make their job more efficient, this could result to more third-party exclusive games on PS5.

Meanwhile in PS5 still a damn logo and a controller, i'll be surprised if Sony is still hiding the console in whole May.

With this game and rumored Demon's Souls Remake from Bluepoint Games as a launch exclusives, PS5 is already a blast for me during day one personally!
