Re: Feature: Why Do Next-Gen Games Keep Disappointing?

gr8apeb8

Killzone shadow fall - loved it, and free DLC worth admission
Driveclub- download the free version and will probably upgrade
Destiny- not meeting the hype, but oddly still addicting.
Shadow of Mordor- came out of left field to be a stand out next gen experience.
It hasn't been that bad not meeting a years worth of expectations is hardly worth writing it off.

Re: PS4's Hardware Is No Longer 'Top of the Line', Admits Sony Employee

Despite consoles having a fixed hardware setup they are still my first choice. I enjoy pc gaming but to many times I have bought a pc game just to find out I need to update a driver, or make changes to my OP system to make it run. With work and family I need convenience not power. To be honest if guild wars came to consoles and with the witcher coming to consoles I won't be using my pc to game, for the foreseeable future.

Re: You'll Be Getting Tons of Free DLC with PS4 Exclusive DriveClub

This is pretty exciting for me. I have been waiting for something like this. I don't enjoy racing games, but my four year old son loves them. I will download for free and he and I can race together. He gets to play for half an hour a day and there is a limited selection on the ps4 that my wife and I find appropriate for him. I had the burnout paradise demo on my ps3 and he loved it, this won't be quite the same but still fun.

Re: PSN Temporarily Offline Again as Attacks Ramp Up Once More

So in the spirit of the fan boy posts all I have to say is. " my copy of Tiger electronics handheld Double Dragon has never ever once been hacked. Stupid nex gen consoles. Bring the double A's and tiger rules the day!." so there while we are at it let's all drop trow and see who's sporting the biggest baby baster. Hackers need to do something truly constructive, instead of attacking online networks for video games, they should maybe use some of those skills outing criminals, or taking down racist websites and other spawning pools of hate. Also yay destiny countdown started.

Re: PlayStation Now Will Make Your Backlog Absolutely Enormous

With the price of new AAA titles being roughly 70-80 dollars here in Canada. This service may be the most economically viable option here.
That's if our service providers offer enough bandwidth to support this, which unfortunately may be a problem.
I would love to try PS Now but will have to wait and see if it's a possibility.

Re: Rumour: Resident Evil 7 Will Spook PS4 into Submission at E3

gr8apeb8

I would like to see this series either take a new direction. Or take a step back to its roots.
RE5 was pretty good and I enjoyed it thoroughly. RE6 on the other hand was so bland to me that I traded it in after two days of owning it.
I would love to get back into the RE universe, but capcom will have to do much better than the last few offerings to gain the consumers trust again. I'm excited to see it.

Re: Can You Believe That Sony Still Makes PlayStation Portables?

I am happy with my vita. But there are times where I miss that little machine. First game was ff7 advent children.
It brought me back to handheld gaming, I hadn't owned a handheld since the original game boy. PSP was an amazing system with a phenomenal game library. Its still overwhelming going into the psp section of PSN store.
Let's hope the Vita will start to pick up.

Re: Review: TowerFall Ascension (PlayStation 4)

@Carl-G I loved timesplitters. My brother and I played the whole series. We had a memory card strictly dedicated to our own maps. I would love a re-release or a remake of that game. Now I want to try this just for the fun of beating my brother while he sits beside me on the couch.

Re: Talking Point: Are We Starting to Expect Too Much from PlayStation Plus?

gr8apeb8

I think PS+ is an amazing deal for its price. Although I preferred it when it was not needed to access all the functions of a game (a small gripe not even a problem more of a preference).
The biggest problem is the lack of content, many of these indie games are truly well made games, unfortunately they aren't for everyone. I'm not big into indie games, but each month I download the free title even if I have no interest at all. Most times I enjoy them for a few days but get bored so I delete them. But there are a few that have surprised me so I kept them.
What it boils down to is "it's what you make of it". In a few months the PS4 should have a more established library which will ease the unreasonable expectations of the PS+ service. As for indies, give em a shot, it takes nothing but a few button presses to put them behind you. (on a side note most indies are released in better shape then BF4)

Re: PS4 Exclusive DriveClub Not Dinged by Evolution Studios Layoffs

gr8apeb8

Delay, layoff. These two words were not the ones I wanted Sony to trumpet every couple of weeks. Still happy with my purchase of the PS4. Hopefully these choppy waters are behind them by summer. Driveclub is still exciting, though that excitement is being watered down by the bad news every other week.
