@Uromastryx Lol if anyone used this particular rounding method in school they'd have a tough time in math class. At what point does it become reasonable to say "more than ten years old" when it's not? Can I say it when something is 9.1 years old? 8.5 years old?
I know the general point is the same, saying it's "OVER ten years old" is bad form. Either you don't care about accuracy or you've confused what year we're in. The console launched in fall of 2013, so it's literally not ten years old yet. It's not even 9.5 years old. Just a weird choice to somehow round that UP beyond 10.
Yikes. You can see in even the brief gameplay clips that the Gollum's animations are either really stiff, or not even finalized yet. Or they're using really old pre-alpha footage, which would also be a very bad sign. I predict an entertaining train wreck if this is out in less than two months lol
I think it's far more likely they would bring these enhancements alongside the DLC, so unless they're also releasing the DLC suddenly, these significant enhancements aren't happening immediately.
Keep in mind they pointed out that new feature development etc is only being done on current-gen+PC, just like how the DLC is not coming to previous-gen. I'm sure dropping that old hardware is enabling these bigger changes (eg. much better AI+systems for Police thanks to more CPU). It would make a lot more sense to drop these big changes alongside the DLC to maximize hype.
Yay, a game based on an unlikeable character from an overrated IP that had its heyday two decades ago. Oh AND it's cross-gen, so the core game was built around the limitations of low-powered hardware from 2013. Just save money now and cancel the game.
Canada has Crave, which has like 90% overlap with the HBO Max catalogue, including brand new shows like TLOU. You might want to consult the wikipedia page for HBO/HBO Max if you care to actually make a proper list.
@mollock It's not arrogant to point out when someone's incorrect, just like how it's not arrogant for you to point out I got the specific date wrong, right? And regardless, it's still a pretty significant error on the part of a journalist to make.
"It’s been over two years since the game’s disastrous PS4 launch". The launch was Dec 9th, 2020, so no, it hasn't been over two years. It's been "nearly" two years.
The entire graphics section belongs under the "technical improvements" heading. Not sure how you could consider graphical improvements somehow to not be technical.
@Krysus These acquisitions take many months and often even years to bring to fruition. You think this is a reaction to MS' purchase of Activision? That's not the speed at which these things work lol
@riceNpea 100%. I'd like to know how many console owners actually have ANY storage woes. Reading this site you'd be forgiven for thinking it's some giant issue affecting everyone. I game a ton and I think I have more than 300GB free on the stock SSD, and don't foresee ever needing to expand that unless games suddenly swell to beyond 200GB apiece, which feels pretty unlikely.
Isn't the idiom "IN 16 years"?, not "for 16 years?". The latter means it will be the best game for the next 16 years. Is the idiom different in the UK than North America?
I was downright happy to read Sony wasn't putting any money into a sequel so they could focus on just about anything else. It's probably the worst first-party title since The Order. I played through the entire game during a dry spell last year and I'm astounded that the writing, characters, dialogue, and voice acting were deemed acceptable. A guy named Deacon Saint John? Boozer? And he's written as though the writing room was a group of angry 12 year old boys who think being angry and exasperated all the time is "cool" or something. There was an OK game behind all that, but man I'm glad Sony will instead put that time and money into something more deserving.

A game this publication scored 8/10.

Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Episode 5 - Clicker Chaos Reigns Supreme
Really appreciate the spoiler headline and image. This site is literally the only way I’ve had any of this show spoiled for me.
Re: God of War Ragnarok Smashes Through a Staggering 11 Million Sales
Would love to know what the split is between PS4 and PS5.
Re: PS5, PS4's The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Will Finally Launch by September 2023
@Shaun2018098 sorry to disappoint you but I haven’t liked a Star Wars thing since I was a teen, and certainly not a Star Wars game since Dark Forces.

No Spiderheck option either eh?
Re: Days Gone Director Blames Woke Reviewers, Programmers for Critical Reception
The writing in this game was so, SO bad. That's why it didn't get good reviews. My god, if the dialogue didn't make you cringe every 30 seconds...

Looking forward to this, but sure wish we had info on pricing. Is this $10? $50?
