I want to be positive but I don't think Saros will sell 1 million in the first month even with PS5 install base being almost 10 times bigger than when returnal came out.

I person waited on a sale to get returnal in 2021. As 70 dollar games was still new to me( especially an indie studio to AAA). So I can imagine if others decide to do the same for Saros

Returnal sold 560k in 3 months ( when Sony used to update sales no, you can find it online). My guess Saros can sell 1 million in 3 months this time I hope. At least .

Play more single player games to from my backlog , drop all anime gacha games and I can play prob sf6 and diablo iv for my live service fill.

if November last year includes PS5 pro launch and 30 anniversary PS5, then the 29 percent down is not bad considering the price of the ps5 went up again. I think in the UK.

With the prices of PC components with the weak yen in Japan, I can't imagine that side doing any better in the market(what software on PC is so appealing on PC to that market?). It's truly just Nintendo and mobile.
During the PS4 gen, the Sony western first party games sold better than Japan studios games so, that studio would not have saved the region

It's truly rough for third party jp developers there. The top ten games are just Nintendo exclusives. Maybe expand your taste.

The ps5 price increase affecting it in the USA, the digital should have been $350 OR $300 since they pay tax seperately but it's 400USD

Shuihehi Yoshida said he failed making a hit game in japan was what he was dissapointed about apart from Gran turismo. You have to blame previous management. The western studios made games during ps3 and ps4. They could have tried to make appealing hit ips then. Nowadays , if 1 game flops the studio shuts down. So, it is certainly a risk.

But my point also is that Home consoles are justy not growing in Japan , no matter the brandy considering Wii u sold 12 million units.

considering that almost 6 million vita sold in Japan(almost half of the total vita sales) , 20 million psp's , the Wii sold 12 million for Nintendo.

If you are not a handheld, there is nothing that can be done to save that region. Astro Bot flopped, there, every Japan studio games in the ps4 gen barely sold 100 k copies there. Like what do you want them to do. Majority of sales on PS platform has always been third party, nothing can be done,

There is no way in hell the pc market is thriving there idea cause the prices are worse compared to the newly released PS5. it's Nintendo or nothing.

@Dodoo the PS5 digital launched at 39,000 yen but the yen lost value on the global market. Buying things in Japan has not necessarily gone up as much as the ps50did which was over 30,000 yen and the feels like the PS5 went up by 300 dollars to the Japanese consumer.

If this ps5 falls to sell then it's safe to say PC gaming is also not a thing considering the 9060xt cost like 55,000 yen.

Console gaming is also on a decline in jp. But at least the more people that can buy a PS5, the more people for the JP developers to sell too and also stop making PS4 games

@Gedrick it's not. Sony is taking a loss due to the weak yen but they are regional pricing and subsiding it.

It went down from 72,00 yen(which feels like 720$ for jp customers) to 55,000 yen ( 550$ to jp customers)

As a person that never had a ps3 , and PS4 was my first console. Fallout 4 is special too me. It's like one of the first game I bought and I played it a lot , when I didn't have a backlog. I miss those times

as an average user that plays on a console. I never asked for FF to be exclusive to my console. I lose nothing here

on the PlayStation channel this game has some crazy marketing compared to even AAA games. like over 5 trailers

Currently the game on US PSN and UK , the game pre-order ranking is higher than ninja GAIDEN 4 . Yes thia games is 70 bucks but lost soul aside has not been marketed since February state of play compared to the ninja GAIDEN 4. The market will determine what price they accepts
